watching the press conference they will hire a qb coach with off coord exp. to cover harbs butt if the offense is crappy again.
he kept his coordinators but wonder if he makes any changes with position coaches after the super bowl
wish he had made a comment like the one jay gruden made today. hope they right this ship
So let's take a stroll down Martyball OC Memory Lane.
2011 - Eagles: 8-8, 280 pts (last in division)
2012 - Eagles: 4-12, 280 pts (last in division)
2013 - Jets: 8-8, 290 pts (last in division)
2014 - Jets: 4-12, 283 pts. (last in division)
See any patterns?
hey big ugly those are some UGLY stats. gulp!!
I am as big a ravens fan as anyone, but there is more to life than football and the Ravens winning...
With that being said, we need more than just continuity in the coaching ranks, which, I assume is why they took the first step in keeping Mornhinweg. More than that, we need players on the OL who can stay healthy, we need quality depth at certain positions, we need to upgrade at WR in-particular, and we need Joe to have a fully healthy off-season. We had some decent players this year, but as I saw all year, we really need some play makers on the outside who can earn Joe's trust. As much as I want Perriman to succeed, he really needs to improve his hands and route running, or else he will flame-out in short order.Funny you mention that, because I did like a lot of what I saw from Perriman this year. I like that he actually can produce good catches, has speed and notched a couple of TDs finally, as a 1st round pick should do. At the same time, he needs a lot more consistency because some days he was doing great and others he wasn't, dropping passes that hit him right in the numbers. Though I guess this could be chalked up to him still playing his rookie season and is learning as the game goes on. Oh well, 2017's a whole new year so I'm praying that he emerges into that big WR that the Ravens desperately needed and maybe even get this monkey off our back when it comes to drafting wideouts.
Perriman was not used enough or used correctly last meaningless game he should have never came off the field they should have thrown 20 balls at him he needs the work He has potential
agreed
definitely need to bring in a qb coach to help a 9 going on 10 year veteran qb with his mechanics but it is needed
well at the very least if harbs choices sink his ship than we will have a new coach in 2018.
WHY WHY WHY!! this was the WORST call Harbaugh ever made! This is going to empty out M&T
He officially just put himself on the hot seat. Marty is not good for Flacco. He is somehow worse than Marc Trestman. The only way this would make sense would be to trade Flacco for playmakers and go get Tyrod back to run this un-identifiable Frankenstein West coast unproductive dumpster fire of an offense. We don't want to trade Flacco, we want you to GET RID OF MARTY and the WEST COAST GARBAGE he comes with.
Why does Steve let John pick coaching personnel if he's only going to hire bottom barrel Philadelphia friends?
Steve Biscotti, BEGGING you please make a formidable offer to Rick Dennison and see if you can tag Wade Phillips to come. Would you honestly regret winning with guys that can make Trevor Siemian and a vultured carcass of a Super Bowl defense get a better record than the Ravens?
Next he will keep Pees who let the defense down every 4th quarter. The only way we win more next year is if our schedule gets easier and the defense holds teams under 9 points until we check to prevent in the 4th quarter.
BAD DECISION JOHN BAD DECISION
he already decided to keep pees and st coach rosburg

Steve Smith Sr
Mike Wallace
Breshad Perriman
Kyle Jusyczk
Terrance West
Kenneth Dixon
Dennis Pitta
Darren Waller who probably outplayed Max Williams in his small handful of games compared to Max's 2015 season
John Boyle never does bad things when he's on the field
What more do you need. Josh McDaniels, Mike McCarthy, Sean Payton, Gary Kubiak - all those coaches would kill to have this personnel. These are coaches who are accustomed to playing with 3rd and 4th stringers or castoffs that wouldn't make starting lineups anywhere else. In fact, if Crockett and Ben Watson don't get injured, some of these guys would have been playing key downs for another team
In my humble opinion, that's more than enough talent to move the ball and get 1st downs. Any high school coach could dial up some plays against the most complex Rex Ryan or Chuck Pagano defense and still manage to convert 3rd downs.
What the heck more do people want on offense
playmakers make something out of nothing like antonio brown did 2 weeks ago. they take over games . sss was that type of player especially in his prime and dixon/perriman? who knows about them but the rest of those guys are a dime a dozen. i would take a leveon bell and julio jones/odell beckham over these guys anyday
i agree with keeping rosburg but not thrilled with keeping pees. hoping for the best next season. would like to see the fo add a hitter/thumper in that secondary.
well he is the oc for next season so i am going to support him and hope that with a whole off season he is able to run a fluid and balanced offense but it would be nice if the front office gets him some horses to work with. i like the west /dixon combo as long as they stay healthy but depth is needed at the rb position just in case. wr group does not strike fear in any defense. the fo cannot assume that perriman and chris moore will be the answer. need a tough receiver in the mold of boldin/sss.
In guessing Joe Bugel and Art Shell were not interested.
2 classics i must say
We never used any of our playmakers the proper way. Our offense had 1 good game (Miami) the entire year. Lets bring Marty back...WOW Lets throw the ball 70% of the time some more. IMO we pick top 10 next year unless we fire Marty early.
what playmakers? still waiting for the front office to draft some
every player listed above as potential cap casualties will get cut imo. i can see them bringing doom, webb, wright back if they are willing to accept less. i personally want to see the younger players next season. we need to give the hungry youngsters the reps
harbs knows he is on the hot seat so if he feels he can win with marty and dean than that is his decision and he should also be prepared for his ship to sink and be out after 2017. jmo
Can we hire the Steelers front office as consultants to help us draft a WR? Looks like they found another one with that Ayers kid.
giants do a nice job of drafting them as well. i am holding out hope that perriman and chris moore take the next step and that camponaro stays pretty healthy for the most part.
comp picks can be traded now. not sure how many we will get but osemele should bring us a 3rd.
not sure what the plan is with mallett as far as retaining him or trade bait but we need to draft a qb in the 4th possibly to develop
Because there are SO many Dak Prescott's out there and every team can just draft QB's in the 4th round.
never mentioned dak prescott in my post and i did use the word "possibly".
mike mccoy could be a possibility for oc
not sure what the plan is with mallett as far as retaining him or trade bait but we need to draft a qb in the 4th possibly to develop
both coordinators should be replaced along with some position coaches. front office needs to hit a grand slam with the roster and draft. harbs is now officially on the hot seat
nice int flacco. 8-8 here we come.
bench joe an everyone else plays to an extent on d i would put in all my young players i want to see judon play multiple downs in a row not 1-2 then out for3-5 how is he going to show his true talents sharing the load with4-7 other guys its time to see what he can do same with elam bench webb an see what he does so we can finally cut him its put up or shut up time an i would love to see all but 4 guys from our secondary cut i would keep weedle brooks young and smith unless we can trade him for a 2nd round pick but what i really want is to see this coaching staff fired and ozzie retire
Webb has been playing well this year, and I am not sure how much we would save by cutting him, but whatever that number is will be the deciding factor on whether we keep him or cut him. Brooks was one of the final cuts to get down to the 53 man roster. He was claimed by the Eagles. The first time he played a defensive snap for them was last week on the very last play of the game. He ended up intercepting Eli's hail mary attempt, to seal the victory. He was definitely one of the most surprising cuts during the off season.

if they cut webb they will save 5.5 mil but lose 2 mil to dead money. doom would save 6 mil but add 2.3 mil in dead money so if they released both it would create 11.5 in cap money but give us 4.3 in dead. im sure they will both be asked to take pay cuts 1st.
ian rappaport is reporting that morningweg will be out as oc after the season which is no surprise and that greg roman could be a candidate to replace him. if roman gets the job than next year will be harbs last. as far as the game today i hope the key starters are pulled early and lets see what we have with the younger guys and mallett
