hope steelers beat the pats than get destroyed by falcons or packers.

Also Young and Pierce are part of that class as well getting you at least 5 starters out of this rookie class and we haven't gotten to see yet how our 3rd rounder plays because of an injury and how developmental 2nd rounder looks, after a fullong offseason. So it's easily one of the best if not the best rookie class they have ever had.
Let's also note in free agency they got one of the best safeties and there top WR last season so that aspect was clearly successful.
If the Ravens come anywhere close to matching that success this offseason then you are looking at a powerhouse next year
powerhouse? lets beat the jets 1st

One can say though that Julio Jones is in a class all by himself. The WRs closest to him could be Dez Bryant but not quite as explosive as Julio Jones. There's no WR on our roster that is like Julio or have the potential to be like him. Not sure if Perriman can ever get there.
There is no RB on our roster as explosive as theirs. If the Oline gets better enough to get Dixon in the open field consistently we will see special things from him.
i see dixon as more of a 3rd down specialist, 8-10 carries a game but a threat receiving. we need to draft a back like d'onti foreman out of texas. 6'0 238 bulldozer with speed. wear down defenses with him and west and let dixon do his thing. i believe we can get him in the 2nd rd. but may need to trade up a few spots. we need to pkg 4-7th rnd picks to acquire another 2nd or 3rd. this draft is cb and pass rush heavy so lets get some of the higher rated ones instead of the projects that get cut.
i agree with their stance on not drafting players with domestic abuse issues but they do need to take some chances with players that are rough around the edges as they say. we need at least one player on each side of the ball that can rally the troops.
d'onta foreman out of texas would give the running game a boost. 6'1 238lbs. doubt he would fall to us in the 2nd unless we move up
It's so clear that we were not blocking for Hester, we cut him because we couldn't block for him. So as a head coach that knows special teams Harbaugh failed once again.
or maybe hester realized this was his last shot so he decided to stop being such a complete boneheaded idiot while fielding punts?
plus he is on a playoff team so he is pumped up
matt ryan deserves it if they win it all. he has been low key and has kept his name out of the spotlight like flacco has. glad to see that weasel pete carroll lose.
atlanta not taking the gas off the pedal. something to be learned by the ravens brass while in jupiter florida.
watching the falcons/seahawks and does anyone feel that our offense can be a scoring machine like atlanta with the combo of marty/roman? i have my reservations about it but time will tell
The comment “we are going to build an offensive line that is best in the league” sounds good, but I'm not exactly sure how they are going to go from where they were this year to being the best in the league. I mean, if everyone stays healthy and we retain Wagner, we are pretty good at best. To be the best or even approach it is going to require expending a lot of our available resources to make that happen.
How we can do that and address getting a starter-worthy CB #2 (while also adding depth), replace SSS and improve at OLB/DE to generate something that resembles a pass rush is going to be quite a trick. Of course, the word is that we only need a complementary vet at WR and already have quality pass rushers on the roster (but are young players who have not reached their potential). I have a hard time buying that - especially the latter.
I'm interested to know whether this comment is a virtual guarantee that Wagner is a keeper. It also wonder if it signals that we could select O line much higher in the draft that I anticipated. It is just really hard to fathom how we are going to achieve this claim while filling all the other holes. If we got an A grade for last year's off season, we're going to need another if we have any hopes of being a playoff team in 2017.
i think they meant that getting rid of castillo has already made the o-line the best in the league. hehehe getting bigger and stronger at center is going to happen. if the price tag for wagner is 8+mill that some rumors are suggesting than i believe the fo will let him walk and alex lewis will possibly be moved there leaving us to draft or sign a free agent LG.
We likely are going to receive a 3rd round comp pick for KO. Thoughts on packaging that pick and our #1 to move up to increase our odds of getting an impact player?
i am all for trading the 3rd rd comp pick and our 1st to move up but whoever the player is that would trigger such a trade would have to be researched to the end. would really set us back if that player ended up being another elam. it is always a crap shoot but the fo needs to hit a homerun with this draft.
I think we need a competent GM. That's what the ravens really need. Someone who can identify difference makers and be bold enough to trade a damn 3rd or 2nd round pick for them.
How about trading for Brandon Marshall. Should have done it years ago when the dolphins dumped him for two 3rd round picks.
That or you pay the big bucks to Alshon Jeffrey. Those two veteran receivers would actually make a difference next season, not another late round pick or UDFA. (Chris Moore, campanero, marlon brown, aiken)
But you all know the ravens like to settle for mediocrity at important position groups (WR, CB) , so don't expect Ozzie to get it right this year.
marshall is entering his 11th or 12th year. i would not mind having him but would not overpay or give up too much to make it happen.
start perriman and lets see if he can develop into the all around beast we need and play moore plenty as well. we keep bringing in these aging vets which stunts the growth of the young guys we have because of the lack of real game reps they receive. alshon is only 26 so he would be an exception but he has been injured lately and had the stupid suspension this season so that should be taken into consideration.
Please get Mike Williams WR Clemson with our first pick in the draft if he is still available and spend the money on a proven free agent CB in his prime. This would solve two big issues. If you have to trade up to get Williams then do it, he is a playmaker and will be one for years.
i agree with bringing in a cb in his prime if there are going to be any available in free agency. teams usually do not let stud corners go so we would most likely have to trade for one. #16 pick is a tricky spot because top cb's are usually gone and knowing ozzie he would trade back in a second if he could get a few more picks and that is where the problem begins. tired of multiple picks that usually get cut in camp or the following season. i would rather pkg them and move up to grab the possible game changer we lack on both sides.
williams and wagner are gone unless both are willing to take less to stay here which is rare.
if sss was drafted by the ravens he would have been another bum. this team cannot draft or develop receivers for some reason.
I would rather have the Ravens fire Dean Pees and hire Leslie Frazier as defensive coordinator instead. I believe he would've been a good defensive coordinater here. SMH. Now l'm worried about Dean Pees cost us games in the 4th Q with the prevent defense again.
hopefully harbs makes it clear to pees that no matter what lead we have going into the 4th do not take your foot off the gas pedal. go for the jugular. i am still sick to my stomach about giving up 3 td's in the 4th to the steelers. should have never happened and harbs should have ordered pees to turn up the pressure again.
Bye Felicia!!!! Secondary was atrocious this year!!
nonsense! compare this season's secondary to last season's and you'll see a night and day difference; especially in the turnover department. Pay attention. Frazier turned the secondary around. Another season would have done us wonders.
agreed. hate to lose him but it is a promotion and cannot blame him. hopefully harbs can bring in someone that can teach technique and continue with what frazier was doing.
im all for gus bradley if the feelings are mutual. can replace pees after week 4
take pees with you leslie
you are right about the tv markets.
Russ Grimm for OL coach!
yes indeed if he is interested
never mind he is already the titans o-line coach
Russ Grimm for OL coach!

the key here is that harbs hires the right guys. time to improve the offense. sure hope the offense is much better
