  1. Defense cost this team at least 3 games with late 4th qtr meltdowns. That's not just due to 1 CB being out. Coaching plays a part too. We've just been conditioned to blame the offense for everything since 2000. The D has become increasingly suspect since at least the SB. i agree but the offense did not help the defense out with a ton of 3 and outs either
  2. pkg picks and move up. time to target needs these next few drafts instead of following the bpa formula of past drafts.
  3. need to fix the cb issue once and for all this off season. dre kirkpatrick is a free agent and will not be cheap but if they decide to let bw go than spend it on a solid corner and draft one in the 2nd or 3rd.. pass rusher and hard hitting safety as well
  4. we should be in the playoffs. this sucks!!
  5. im rooting for a gb/kc superbowl. i respect the steelers. blue collar town like bmore and if they face the patriots at some point i hope they beat them.
  6. flacco will be gone when stanleys rookie deal is up. 3 more years for flacco. hopefully flacco improves before than
  7. they should put brittle jimmy on the pup list every season that way we can have him for the end of the season if we are lucky. glad to see perriman and pitta make it through the whole season.
  8. best on the league. congrats!!
  9. Zuttah was bad, very bad. Missed blocks, penalties, hitting a player out of bounds, and not calling blocking schemes. Matt Birk used to call the plays to the line and change them if he saw something, he was the leader. We need a Big center like the Jets have or like one of the Pounceys. I'd like us to get a center who will be around more than 4 years. hopefully we draft kyle fuller or john toth. would not use a 1st or 2nd on a center but if either one is there in the 3rd than yes especially if we get a 3rd rd comp for osemele.
  10. we had no choice but to draft stanley and i liked the pick and believe he will be around for a long time. needs to improve on his run blocking and gain some more upper body strength. hope we can retain wagner but more depth is needed at LT and center must be addressed. zuttah wasnt bad but he was overpowered several times. we need to draft or sign a young matt birk
  11. he would probably be a better receivers coach than engram
  12. Just allow me to vent man! What's up with you? Trying to make sense to me at this time of grief? hahaha
  13. bisciotti is one rich man.
  14. I guess I'm not opposed to it, but I will point out that there are some decent backup QBs in this league, and a lot of them were 1st, 2nd or even 3rd round picks, or veterans that have been around for awhile. I think its a bit presumptuous to draft a 4th rounder and just assume he's capable of being a backup QB right away. There's teams drafting 1st and 2nd rounders who can't even make the active roster on gameday on teams with far worse QB situations. That tells you how bad a lot of the QBs coming out of the draft are these days. Frankly, if we used a 4th rounder on a QB, I'd suspect he'd spend a year or two as the 3rd QB (basically a PS player), meaning he's pretty useless. No way am I taking a 4th rounder and making him the backup in year 1. Plus, as I said earlier, I'm not really interested in spending a 4th rounder on a guy that, ideally, will never play a snap for you. 6th or 7th rounder, sure, because those guys rarely plays snaps for us anyway. But we get starters and quality players out of 4th round picks all the time. I'd rather just sign a veteran backup if that's the route we are going. I'd trust Mallett over a 4th rounder, and retaining Mallett won't be that difficult. i agree with your post but i think there will be a lot of interest in mallett and there are teams with more salary cap space than we have. would be nice to keep him but he could probably start for the browns and maybe the niners if kap leaves
  15. Depends on where he falls...I'd like to see us take a QB in the general area of the 4th round, or maybe the comp pick we get for KO...not saying we need to get rid of Joe, but grooming a backup QB has no negative that I can see. Mallet is not the answer, and will more than likely will be paid well over what he's worth by some other team. i agree that some other team will offer more for mallett. we should draft a qb to possibly groom but wonder if we could live with lets say a ryan fitzpatrick if he is cheap enough. yeah cuz Ryan Fitzpatrick has done so well in the playoffs. Joe has the ability to play and win if he has the right offense to run. Its that way with most great QBs. If Brady had been drafted by the Browns or Tampa bay, you would have never heard of him. We need to make the offense fit Joe since we are tied to him becuz of his contract. as a backup not a starter sami
  16. more like toilet paper
  17. i like how they always bring up the 2014 season. kubs along with the coaches he brought with him were in charge of the offense 100%. castillo was his gopher that season. aside from 2014 the run game under castillo has been awful. he should be fired along with wr coach bobby engram. our receivers are not taught to come back and help out joe. look back for the ball, fight for the ball and continue to drop passes. need to try different drills to get the ball droppers to improve. a lot on the line for harbaugh and his entire coaching staff next season. as a fan i sure hope they figure it out so the season is not wasted.

  19. after having one of the best drafts in Ravens history last year can you elaborate on that? I'll elaborate on that, no problem. NFL teams are built through the draft. I don't think a single knowledgeable football fan would argue that. Some teams do well and get lucky, and hit on players in rounds 4-7 every so often, which is a serious boost to the team. But the foundations of great teams are built in rounds 1-3. This is obvious and simple. Here is a list of 1rst-3rd round picks over the past 7 years. Elam Perriman Arthur Brown Maxx Williams Cody Kindle KC Kufasi Carl Davis Brooks Jah Reid Upshaw Not only are none of these players even close to sniffing any kind of pro bowl talent, but a lot of them already have or are going to end up not even being able to play in the league what so ever. Because they are not any good. 1rst, 2nd, and 3rd round picks. That aren't even good enough to play in the league.....hmmmm. Drafting is driving the Ravens into the ground. Someone has to answer for that. This year. Stanley is awesome. At 6 overall, you better get an awesome player. After that, let's talk about this "one of the best drafts in Ravens history". We draft KC in the second round. Doom and Mosely are out for big sections of the year and KC isn't even good enough to play. at ll really. But he's a "hustle" player. Whatever that means. So we waste a pick on a guy that might never be good enough to play, instead of players that made an impact the entire year, and will be foundations of their franchises going forward- Sterling, Spence, and Michael Thomas are just a couple. All positions we need too. Then Kufasi. Yeah he got hurt, but bottom line, another high pick with zero production or experience after year 1. Not to mention he was another "hustle" player that didn't have any outstanding traits at all and was someone that "needs time to develop". Our 4th round was good. Finally. But Young is the only sure thing. Chris Moore didn't contribute this year, except for a costly drop. Alex Lewis got a lot of hype, but he was only average when he was on the field. Henry didn't play at all this year. And I am a fan of Dixon. Then Judon looks good but is raw and completely unproven. So this draft was ok, but the only reason it looks good is cuz we're comparing it to our GARBAGE drafts of the past several years. We drafted about 2 pro bowl players in the past 5 years. And one of those was a kicker. It's pathetic and very sad and helpless for the fans. If we don't hit on rounds 1-3 in the next several years, we'll be sitting in 3rd or 4th in the division for years to come. Note that the general downturn in drafted talent in the higher rounds coincides with the Harbaugh era. Could be a coincidence, or it could be his influence to find "high character, high football IQ" guys who were team captains, etc. The result is a lack of playmakers, pro-bowlers, and (unfortunately) no decrease in penalties. This might be doable in New England, where you have elite coaching and QB play, but not here. I would love to know what Ozzie's board would have looked like over the past 5 years without the coach's influence. i have posted several times that it is time to pkg those 4th-7th rd. picks these next 2-3 years and move up and grab playmakers. sure there is no guarantee they will pan out but the fo needs to try because they have missed a lot. stop restructuring contracts with older players because it bites us in the end.
  20. like how the article calls chris moore and javorius allen rising players when they have not done anything aside from providing solid special teams play
  21. alshon jeffery is like jimmy smith.. often injured so no thanks on him. i like marshall, garcon.
  22. You won't have to wait long it will happen after next season dont sell yourself short. he could get fired in season if they are cleveland like
  23. wonder if they make a play for brandon marshall. he is an 11 year veteran which is right up ozzies ally. i think the type of back they are referring to is either a bruising type back for short yardage or a darren sproles type for 3rd downs. not sure where juice fits in with harbs comment on wanting a 3rd back
  24. i agree with you but harbs has stated he will stick with him. we can only hope it gets better
