A little late, but, go watch "Drive" on netflix. 2011. Best film ive seen in many years and im a film buff
I felt it was too slow paced, it really bored me. A lot of people Ryan Gosling's character to the Man With No Name, and I feel that was unjustified. I would just call it an ok movie.
Can't wait for Season 4 of Community to start in February.
I don't understand why that show isn't more popular. It's brilliant.
There is a good new Jack Black movie currently streaming on Netflix. 'Bernie' a dark comedy based on a true story. JB actually got a Golden Globe Nomination for best actor in a comedy/musical. Movie was nicely done.
When he's used correctly, Jack Black is a better actor than he's given credit for.
Watched Be Kind Rewind last night. Mos and Jack Black made a pretty good pair and the soundtrack had a few gems as well. Quality movie.
Wow, someone besides me actually saw that movie. It is fairly enjoyable, with the scenes where they're 'remaking' the movies being the standouts.
::insert potentially tacky comment about balcony seating here::
"Well, we already bought the tickets." - Abraham Lincoln
Too soon?
They probably already mailed the award to him. That's a given for sure. I hope he shows up in character.
If he's shooting a movie right now, he probably will.
is that the one where Leo is crazy and they play a whole thing out on him.
I think you mean the 1940s detective movie that Scorsese ruined with a poorly thought out, rushed, and just plain stupid ending.
Oh Lawd. First the Walking Dead and now this? The guy named MilitantX liked this movie. Nuff said. Smh
People still whine about Mark Twain using that word so extensively in Huckleberry Finn. I'm not surprised by the reaction nor is he alone in his opinion.
I have mixed feelings on Django Unchained, it's just crazy and well made (usually my kind of movie) but it just comes off like Quentin wanted to get all the N words out of his system.
I thought it was fantastic. It had nothing to do with Tarantino wanting to say the N word as many times as possible, it was about giving an accurate representation of the time period. In all honesty, he probably went lighter with things than he should have to give a truly accurate depiction of the South. Waltz, Foxx, and DiCaprio were all excellent in their roles. It's my third favorite film of the year, behind The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
You should really watch this
It looks like Power Rangers for adults.
The Hobbit was really enjoyable. Not as good as LOTR, obviously, but neither is the source material. It's a more light-hearted affair.
It won't be disappointing.. No way..
May not be as good as LOTR but its pretty much impossible to repeat that great of a series
I dunno man, Peter Jackson's films following LotR have me doubting his ability as a filmmaker. I think these sweeping epics are the only thing he can direct, with the way he uses the camera and his taste for long bouts of exposition. I already fear that the series overall is going to be weighed down with too much nonsense from The Silmarillion. Maybe I'm just trying to temper my expectations so I'm not disappointed, but Jackson does not have the same magic touch that Nolan or Tarantino have.
Can't wait for The Hobbit!!!
I've got tickets for Friday, but I'm worried it's going to be disappointing. The source material isn't anywhere near as good as Lord of the Rings was.
I finally saw Skyfall. It was good, not Casino Royale good, but still good.
These Red Dawn previews are killing me. Chris Hemsworth American accent is so bad.
Just watched the big lebowski.. Stupidest movie ever
codizzle my friend, you are entering a world of pain.
I saw Dredd 3D over the weekend. It was a pretty decent action movie.
Dredd (3D) is getting some good reviews so far.
95% on the Tomato-meter (43 critics as of 9/10) so far on Rotten Tomatoes!
I was surprised when I saw this, but I'm a big time Karl Urban fan. I'm gonna have to check this one out now.
Chad Johnson has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence for headbutting his wife.

I can't wait to see how this plays out on Hard Knocks!
His contract with the Dolphins was just terminated. I think it's time for Chad Johnson to kiss the baby on his NFL career.
I don't think you have enough evidence to make that claim.
Since House is gone, my favorite network shows are Community, Castle, and The Big Bang Theory. On cable the only things I really follow closely are South Park and The League, although I mean to check out Hell on Wheels. I'm really enjoying The Newsroom right now, but it's too early to call that a favorite. The best show overall right now is probably Game of Thrones though. I also watch New Girl, Modern Family, Happy Endings, Suburgatory, and Person of Interest. And Top Gear (UK) is amazing.
Workaholics has been gaining a lot of traction recently, but I can't get into it. It's like a dirty version of The Office, but it's still just as unfunny as the clean version. Breaking Bad is another one I don't understand, that show is so incredibly boring yet it's so highly praised.
Goodfellas sucked? Your opinions have now been rendered invalid for all time.
But it's so boring. The one good scene was where Joe Pesci goes off on him about saying he's funny. And it didn't need the constant narration either. I couldn't get into it.
And yes The Departed sucked. He just kills everyone at the end, how is that not a cop out?
I just saw Shutter Island for the first time.
Anyone else ever see it? It was a good movie, definitely one that I have to watch twice.
I don't want to accept that Leanardo was crazy the whole time even though it was obvious at the beginning. I kind of just want to hold on to the conspiracy that the doctors were really just evil lol. Kind of like he does throughout the whole film...
Scorsese amazes me once again!
I hated that movie, and it's a perfect illustration of why Scorsese sucks. You pointed it out, he set up the story one way to ruin it in the last five minutes. The guy can't close, every movie I've seen has either sucked throughout (as in Goodfellas) or been ruined by his cop out endings (as in The Departed). He might be the most overrated director of all time.
Saw that the other day, was kinda meh. I just don't think Ferrell can pull off more serious roles after stuff like Step Brothers and Anchorman.
I thought he can't pull off serious roles because he can't act.
Actually watched this last night. Its pretty funny at times but it overall it fell a bit short. I actually prefer Nacho Libre over Casa De Mi Padre.
Both play similar roles. The stupid person on a mission.
Isn't that the only role Ferrell ever plays? I'm pretty sure his most intellectually capable character was Frank the Tank.

It's pretty bad. I think the next thing coming out that I want to see is Iron Man 3...in May.
