Tennessee? By ma chaps and ma spurs, I know Tennessee! Met Jack Daniels himself, ova by the Bridgewatuh Plantation, in Sequatchie County. He asked me bout ho'ses and bulls and I asked him bout booze. We had some shots and den shot round the range ou' back. Grouse like ya nev' seen em, thicka than the Wil' Tu'key logo, I reck'n...
Another day of this? Isn't it a little early to start drinking?
Canada has given us much comedy gold over the years.
And Nathan Fillion.
Drake, Justin Timberlake... don't know about Carly Rae Jepsen, though!
Justin Timberlake is not Canadian, he's from Tennessee.
Not going to ask that question!
Good, I don't like being asked questions I don't know the answer to.
In other news, Seven Psychopaths was disappointing. Seeking a Friend for the End of the World was even more so.
Now I need to ask what Bar Rescue is!
If you're familiar with Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, it's that for bars on Spike. I like those kind of shows for some reason.
Had a what last night?
Last name. I was distracted by Bar Rescue...
James Bond won his 1st Oscar in 21 years!!
You Know My Name from Casino Royale was a better song. But in other news, I found out that Adele had a last name tonight.
TDKR had so many inconsistencies with it for it to even achieve nomination. I mean Tom Hardy was awesome as bane but his death was so weak.
That wasn't my only problem with the movie. The whole terrorist taking over Gotham bit was shoddily done, the whole police v. terrorist action sequence was unrealistic in a series that made a Super Hero realistic (on top of being cheesy), and he probably could have shaved off at least a half hour by fixing the plodding intro. There were a lot of fantastic elements to string it together into a really good movie, but after Heath's performance and the perfection that was The Dark Knight really anything was going to look worse in comparison.
Did you see The Dark Knight rises?
The Avengers was better, but TDKR was still better than any of the movies nominated.
I think we all know the real best picture this year was The Avengers, but of the nominees Django Unchained should have won.
I got emails about this like a month in advance. RSVP to know first from Sony or something, like we all didn't know what was coming. Least surprising announcement ever.
I think it's set on Earth. I don't know much about it, but I'll probably wind up seeing it.
Does anyone know what Oblivion is actually about?
Is that post-apocalypse Tom Cruise one?
I really liked Moonrise Kingdom as well. But I guess I am a Wes Anderson fanboy. There is a really awesome interactive script floating around on the internet. Its cool to see the story board drawings and pictures for the film.
The only other movie of his that I've seen is The Royal Tenenbaums, but I liked that one a lot too. I don't know if that's the same tone he uses in all his films, but it's quite unique.
I was hoping to read the book before then, so definitely maybe.
I saw it on this network called Encore on fios. I was lucky to see it too, It costs $10 to buy, no renting option. Fios is some crap.
And to think I was ready to complain about having to pay $3.99 to rent Sleepwalk With Me.
"Heat" with Pacino, De Niro & Kilmer.
That's on my list, I need to find it in a Redbox or something.
I checked out Moonrise Kingdom. It was weird and very melancholy, but I liked it a lot.
I finally saw Looper. Maybe I was expecting too much. It was good, but it still felt like a B movie, and there were a few things that bothered me.
Joe Flaccos new car!!!!
It's probably Dana's actually. I have trouble fitting in cars like that at 6' 4", and Flacco's taller than I am.
That is a pretty car though, that's the best looking Vette yet. I'd still prefer a GTR.
Just got done watching this...
I think it was great! I wanna watch the other ones but FiOS doesn't have any more.
Hopefully Netflix will have some, about to check now... I wanna see "Hannibal Rising" the most. I saw the ending of Silence of the Lambs a couple of times when I was really young and it scared me really bad. This was the first time I watched the whole thing. I felt wierd/wrong liking Hannibal in this. He's a cannablistic serial killer and all but I rooted for him when he killed the guards lol.
Silence is a classic. It's amazing how much of an impact Hopkins made in that role, considering his relatively small screen time.
When I think of a "good cast" I think of pure talent. I don't care if they are a big name. Channing Tatum IS a big name, but I will NEVER call him a big actor or include him in the "oh this has a great cast" conversation
He was really good in 21 Jump Street though. That movie was hilarious.
So cute, all the young boys going ga-ga over their actress crush!
Jennifer Lawrence is a much better actress than those aforementioned.
Not really man, was never a good look for me though I can appreciate them now I'm older. Stardust was pretty good.
Stardust is fantastic, I think it's the Princess Bride of this era. It's probably my favorite romantic-y movie, depending on how you define the genre.
