I watched Once Upon a Time in the West. It was a great movie, but The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly was better. I thought this one could have been shaved down a lot time wise, but the way he built tension was excellent. That final showdown was a great scene, but he had a few endings and let it run for too long. I can see why it's considered a classic though.
How would you describe the movie, haven't heard about it but am interested to know.
I guess Purp had a pretty decent comparison, I'm not sure how to describe it really.
I finally saw The Cabin in the Woods. Not a fan of the horror genre, but Whedon nailed it of course. What a fantastic movie.
From the Titus Young files, which at this point may be a novel, he was arrested twice in 15 hours (not a typo), first for DUI, then for breaking into a tow yard looking for his car.
Ooh he ratchet.
Incredibly unhappy fangirl here. The stuff I didn't like took over that which I did like....
I'm assuming you're part of the group upset about the Mandarin?
Glad I didn't let my friends talk me into seeing it. I went to Zero Dark 30 instead.
I would have preferred seeing Zero Dark (the last) Thirty. The rest of that movie doesn't live up to the final scene, which for me was one of the more emotionally evocative pieces of cinema that I've seen.
Wish I felt the same. Huge disappointment for me.
If you didn't understand the plot, most of the people I went with didn't either.
Iron Man 3 is amazing. Truly the best Iron Man.
And the scene after the credits was hilarious.
The funeral director movie?
Yeah it's so weird.
Watch Iron Man 2 again, so you can be set for the new one.
I literally just did that tonight.
I also watched Bernie. I'm not sure how to classify it, but it was great. For all the Jack Black haters, especially those who say he can't act, check it out.
No Great Gatsby!?!?!
I'm not sure that story translates well to film.
Iron Man 3 tomorrow and Star Trek two weeks later, I'm so freaking amped right now dudes.
Yeah thats true. If you're up for that kind of Steve Carrell movie, Crazy Stupid Love is very good. I'd have to say it's one of, if not my number one, favorite rom com.
Crazy Stupid Love is really great. It's a bit atonal from one hour to the next, but it's still really enjoyable.
Jeff Who Lives at Home was not enjoyable.
Safety Not Guaranteed is a great movie.
Sleepwalk With Me was just ok, it got by on Mike Birbiglia's likeability.
Seeing Jurassic Park in 3D for the 2nd time. Still amazing, if you haven't seen it, drop everything and go now.
Did they re-do the effects for 3D or just upconvert the old analog stuff?
Iron Man 3 is getting rave reviews thus far.
New trailer for Thor: The Dark World. Enjoy:
Disagree. I think he would've killed it. Foxx did a tremendous job though.
Maybe I just haven't seen it, but has Will Smith ever had a role with close to that kind of edge? I can't see the Fresh Prince in that scene with the dogs.
I read the other day Will Smith was supposed to play Django but he turnt it down because (paraphrasing here) "it was brilliant writing but it's not the lead role" which is pretty pathetic and wrong to me. I think he would've done great playing that character though.
Will Smith would have been a terrible Django, the dude has no edge.
William Moore, safety for the Falcons, was arrested for battery: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/falcons-safety-william-moore-arrested-battery-charge-035123866--nfl.html
I don't know if I'm more excited for Iron Man 3 or Stark Trek XII. It's going to be a great summer movie season this year.
Sad day for the movie community, Ebert was one of the good ones.
Call me crazy, but if he wasn't already Captain Kirk and if they were re-casting Star Wars, Chris Pine might be an alright Han Solo.

Reception has certainly not been positive thus far. It being overly artsy is basically a given with that director.
One of the more interesting critiques of the movie is that the portrayal of Daisy is whitewashed and the movie lost the opportunity to explore the glorification of one you love but can't have, or something along those lines.
