  1. His contract with the Dolphins was just terminated. I think it's time for Chad Johnson to kiss the baby on his NFL career.
  2. I don't think you have enough evidence to make that claim.
  3. Since House is gone, my favorite network shows are Community, Castle, and The Big Bang Theory. On cable the only things I really follow closely are South Park and The League, although I mean to check out Hell on Wheels. I'm really enjoying The Newsroom right now, but it's too early to call that a favorite. The best show overall right now is probably Game of Thrones though. I also watch New Girl, Modern Family, Happy Endings, Suburgatory, and Person of Interest. And Top Gear (UK) is amazing. Workaholics has been gaining a lot of traction recently, but I can't get into it. It's like a dirty version of The Office, but it's still just as unfunny as the clean version. Breaking Bad is another one I don't understand, that show is so incredibly boring yet it's so highly praised.
  4. But it's so boring. The one good scene was where Joe Pesci goes off on him about saying he's funny. And it didn't need the constant narration either. I couldn't get into it. And yes The Departed sucked. He just kills everyone at the end, how is that not a cop out?
  5. I hated that movie, and it's a perfect illustration of why Scorsese sucks. You pointed it out, he set up the story one way to ruin it in the last five minutes. The guy can't close, every movie I've seen has either sucked throughout (as in Goodfellas) or been ruined by his cop out endings (as in The Departed). He might be the most overrated director of all time.
  6. I thought he can't pull off serious roles because he can't act.
  7. Isn't that the only role Ferrell ever plays? I'm pretty sure his most intellectually capable character was Frank the Tank.
  8. I just feel that the way they ended the villains in the other movies were far more effective. Joker's defeat was far more effective and even how Raj Al Ghul was killed in Begins was far more effective as their defeats weren't cheap. Bane was made out to be stronger and more cerebral villain than the other two (quite naturally since it's the end of the trilogy) but then that happened. Pretty underwhelming. That was the fault of the script though. Bane's original defeat made sense, the way he has generally been defeated in the comics is disconnecting him from his mask. That's what Batman did, and that's when Bane was beaten. Barring that unforeseen twist it would have ended there. I didn't mind Selina Kyle finishing him off with the Batpod's canons because Batman already beat Bane and those are some pretty big guns. I understand why people were upset with that though.
  9. He didn't break it, he dislocated it.
  10. It is very satisfying scream-whispering "Kill the Steelers" when you're watching this whilst sitting next to a Steeler fan.
  11. I'm surprised The Amazing Spiderman was so well received. It's a superhero movie for Twilight fans.
  12. The Dark Knight Rises was amazing. Nolan did an excellent job ending the trilogy and tying up all the loose ends. I'm not sure I would put it higher than The Dark Knight yet, but if there was any drop off it was minuscule. It's right up there with The Dark Knight and The Avengers for best super hero movie.
  13. You should have seen the preview they gave us with the IMAX version of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. He was unintelligible at times. They changed the sound mixing quite a bit in response to that, be glad we didn't get the original thing. I'm going to see it in about an hour or so.
  14. Surely you're kidding, the dude is a great actor. Sure Terminator: Salvation was crap, and people make fun of the Batman voice, but he's played his roles incredibly well.
  15. So who is Dark Knight Rising it up tomorrow night?
  16. Are we having more arrests than normal, or does it just seem that way? In any case, Lynch has a history of off field issues.
  17. The Newsroom is the smartest show I've watched in a while. I'm loving it. I finally watched 21 Jump Street last night. It was hilarious, I'd say the best action comedy since Hot Fuzz.
  18. Insomnia stars Al Pacino as an FBI specialist, or something like that, sent to solve a murder in Alaska. Hilary Swank plays a local cop who tags along to learn from him. It's a bit deeper than that, I don't want to spoil anything. It's quite good though, as all of Nolan's movies are. It is unique as it is the only movie Nolan has directed that he was not credited for writing the screenplay.
  19. You should watch it again if it's that important to you. Memento is certainly Nolan's strangest movie. A lot of people say it's his best, I still stand by Inception being the greatest movie of all time though making it his best. I enjoyed The Prestige more too, with Insomnia being on the same level of enjoyment with a linear story and an excellent role for Robin Williams.
  20. I finally saw Cowboys & Aliens. It was let down by shallow characters, but it was still an interesting concept. It was just an ok movie, but it could have been so much more considering Favreau had two of my favorite actors in there.
  21. I haven't seen it, but is it wrong to assume that Sean Bean dies? That dude is a walking spoiler.
  22. Here* I'm debating if The Dictator is worth seeing. I enjoyed Borat, but this one doesn't look funny.
  23. Yeah I'm on Bane's side when it comes to getting rid of them.
  24. Is it bad that I saw The Avengers twice in the same weekend? I went to see it in IMAX 3D last night since that's only supposed to be around for a week. I would have preferred if it was just normal IMAX, you can always tell when a movie isn't filmed in 3D.
  25. The Avengers was fantastic. It's the second best (although I'm assuming it will soon be the third best in July) super hero movie ever made, and it's in my top 10 of all time. It was incredible at how much Joss Whedon was able to deliver with that many stars and that many characters in only 2 hours and 12 minutes. Everyone should see this movie without question. Ruffalo was a better Hulk than Norton was, although it probably helped that Hulk fits better in the ensemble as the character is not built for carrying his own movie, or at least so far. And of course Downey was awesome as usual, Iron Man is just one of those roles he was born to play. I wonder who they will add for The Avengers 2. I hope it's not Spiderman because I'm not pleased about the remake and Garfield would be swept away by Downey and everyone else. If there weren't some apparent copyright issues, I would bet on Hugh Jackman because he's a great Wolverine (weaknesses of the origin movie notwithstanding) and I think he would flow the best with the excellent cast they already have assembled. I just hope they let Joss Whedon do the sequel as well, he really delivered this time. Maybe the man will finally get some mainstream respect in Hollywood, but alas nothing will bring back the epicness of Firefly/Serenity.
