  1. I checked out Moonrise Kingdom. It was weird and very melancholy, but I liked it a lot.
  2. I finally saw Looper. Maybe I was expecting too much. It was good, but it still felt like a B movie, and there were a few things that bothered me.
  3. It's probably Dana's actually. I have trouble fitting in cars like that at 6' 4", and Flacco's taller than I am. That is a pretty car though, that's the best looking Vette yet. I'd still prefer a GTR.
  4. Silence is a classic. It's amazing how much of an impact Hopkins made in that role, considering his relatively small screen time.
  5. He was really good in 21 Jump Street though. That movie was hilarious.
  6. Jennifer Lawrence is a much better actress than those aforementioned.
  7. Stardust is fantastic, I think it's the Princess Bride of this era. It's probably my favorite romantic-y movie, depending on how you define the genre.
  8. It's pretty bad. I think the next thing coming out that I want to see is Iron Man 3...in May.
  9. I felt it was too slow paced, it really bored me. A lot of people Ryan Gosling's character to the Man With No Name, and I feel that was unjustified. I would just call it an ok movie.
  10. I don't understand why that show isn't more popular. It's brilliant.
  11. When he's used correctly, Jack Black is a better actor than he's given credit for.
  12. Wow, someone besides me actually saw that movie. It is fairly enjoyable, with the scenes where they're 'remaking' the movies being the standouts.
  13. "Well, we already bought the tickets." - Abraham Lincoln Too soon?
  14. If he's shooting a movie right now, he probably will.
  15. I think you mean the 1940s detective movie that Scorsese ruined with a poorly thought out, rushed, and just plain stupid ending.
  16. People still whine about Mark Twain using that word so extensively in Huckleberry Finn. I'm not surprised by the reaction nor is he alone in his opinion.
  17. I thought it was fantastic. It had nothing to do with Tarantino wanting to say the N word as many times as possible, it was about giving an accurate representation of the time period. In all honesty, he probably went lighter with things than he should have to give a truly accurate depiction of the South. Waltz, Foxx, and DiCaprio were all excellent in their roles. It's my third favorite film of the year, behind The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
  18. It looks like Power Rangers for adults.
  19. The Hobbit was really enjoyable. Not as good as LOTR, obviously, but neither is the source material. It's a more light-hearted affair.
  20. I dunno man, Peter Jackson's films following LotR have me doubting his ability as a filmmaker. I think these sweeping epics are the only thing he can direct, with the way he uses the camera and his taste for long bouts of exposition. I already fear that the series overall is going to be weighed down with too much nonsense from The Silmarillion. Maybe I'm just trying to temper my expectations so I'm not disappointed, but Jackson does not have the same magic touch that Nolan or Tarantino have.
  21. I've got tickets for Friday, but I'm worried it's going to be disappointing. The source material isn't anywhere near as good as Lord of the Rings was.
  22. I finally saw Skyfall. It was good, not Casino Royale good, but still good.
  23. These Red Dawn previews are killing me. Chris Hemsworth American accent is so bad.
  24. codizzle my friend, you are entering a world of pain. I saw Dredd 3D over the weekend. It was a pretty decent action movie.
  25. I was surprised when I saw this, but I'm a big time Karl Urban fan. I'm gonna have to check this one out now.
