  1. You'll have maybe a year max of new games once the new consoles are released, but I doubt most of those games will be worthwhile. The focus is already on the next generation for the major developers. Watch Dogs is a confirmed next gen title, if I'm not mistaken.
  2. I'm not entirely sure what you're, but you won't be able to play Xbox One titles on the Xbox 360. While technology does improve in some areas over the course of a console's life cycle, it's not in terms of raw power. Mainly it's fans and stuff, the newer Xbox 360 is at least 10x quieter than my launch day box. I would just wait to buy the Xbox One if I were you.
  3. I watched Friends With Kids hoping it would be funny, and it was nothing like I expected. Really average movie, and not particularly funny. It was like a cheap romcom.
  4. Did you like it more than the last one? I thought they got more philosophical without getting bogged down in it like the old movies and show did, but a lot of the major fanboys are pissed because it looked nice and had special effects.
  5. Yes, there's been rumors that many of them won't be returning to their roles. Disney is trying to hardball them to get lower deals, since now Chris Helmsworth is somewhat of a known star and they've all gotten bigger because of the success of Marvel. Downey has been the most vocal though, but I think they'll pay him enough money to come back.
  6. Hold up, hope you ready for the next episode. Xbox is not done.
  7. The lack of storage space could also be a push by Microsoft to get people to use 'The Cloud', assuming they integrate Xbox One with it. That would make me upset, I don't want my stuff on 'The Cloud'.
  8. They can't have you install entire games on the hard drive, that makes no sense. I'm guessing that's overblown, and it'll just be a portion or an ident code.
  9. The Hangover III is, unsurprisingly, being panned. That movie never should have gotten one sequel let alone two. Apparently this one isn't even a comedy.
  10. Here's more on the NFL and Microsoft partnership: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000205083/article/nfl-microsoft-strike-deal-to-enhance-fans-tv-viewing-of-games?campaign=Twitter_news It seems to suggest you'll be able to watch games on Xbox One, but until they confirm you can watch out of market games I won't get my hopes up.
  11. Oh they've already started whining about it, they were whining before it was announced. My guess is the fee is overblown and inflated at the moment, and there still exists a possibility of it being eliminated. I'm fairly certain Xbox One was designed to be 'always on', but they changed that when there was a massive outcry before it was officially announced. My hope is that it ultimately drives the prices of new games down. Developers lose money from people buying used games, if they don't have to worry about that maybe it will work out to be a good thing. If it puts GameStop out of business that's a plus. I did find some numbers, you're partially right. 88% of gamers buy new physical copies of games, but about 70% purchase used games as well. Again it's something I don't deal with, I don't trust used products. http://news.mmosite.com/content/2013-03-06/78_percent_of_core_gamers_buy_used_games.shtml
  12. You may be right, but I have any friends who have bought used games either. Perhaps you are mistaken.
  13. I've never had a problem paying for Xbox Live because the service is so much better than anything I experienced over the PS2 or the PS3 online, but you're not the only one to hold that opinion.
  14. Sony can't design interfaces at all, have worthless console exclusive titles (with the aforementioned exception of Uncharted or anything else by Naughty Dog, pending the quality of The Last of Us), and have an inferior controller. I admit I'm in the minority on the controller, and it's likely because I have much larger hands than the average man, but my fingers bash up against each other quite often when I use it. The Xbox controller feels so much better in my hands. Regardless, I think Xbox offers better games for me, but it is difficult to say that when a company doesn't focus on the games. Hopefully they'll show something more at E3.
  15. What's even worse is they probably paid millions of dollars to come up with that. Ultimately pressers are for industry people, and all of the big three suck at giving them. What they say won't influence my decision at all, I'm buying one regardless. I just wish Naughty Dog could be pried away from being a PlayStation exclusive, their games are the only reason to buy one of those.
  16. As someone who has never bought a used video game, I couldn't care less about that.
  17. They announced a partnership between Microsoft and the NFL, and then went on to talk about some fantasy football monitoring nonsense. I'm more interested in that partnership giving access to all the games on Sunday, since I'm not in the Ravens broadcast area.
  18. Well Microsoft revealed the name of the new system, and it's worse than I thought it would be. The presser is still going on, and as expected Microsoft is worried about the fluff and entertainment bits. Their pressers are so cheesy too. I wish these companies would focus on the games. Surely we'll be seeing Halo 5 at some point in the near future.
  19. I watched Jackie Brown. It's not on the level of the other Tarantino stuff that I've seen, but it's still quite good.
  20. That's what I took from it too. When I got bothered by them discussing Desean Jackson and the Eagles too much, I just remembered:
  21. Such a great movie. Finally someone else saw it. Did you like it more than Star Trek XI as well?
  22. I liked Pitch Black, but that second one was a mess.
  23. Based on the new trailer, Riddick looks like a crappy version of Pitch Black. They continue to waste the potential of that character and franchise. They task me! They task me, and I shall have them! I'll chase them round the Moons of Nibia, and round the Antares Maelstrom, and round Perdition's flames before I give them up!
  24. Jennifer Lawrence is just delightful, but in a different way than Zooey Deschanel is delightful. I don't know why I watch movies that I own on TV, especially when it's something like The 40-Year Old Virgin that is ridiculously censored. The blurring of the genetalia-themed items in the bar scene was actually funny because it was so poorly done.
  25. I thought everyone was of that opinion. It's blue Pocahontas, and I'd rather watch Zoe Saldana without the overlaid graphics.
