  1. Sometimes you guys dont make one lick of sense... All i hear from you guys is how you are turning on ozzie because he doesnt draft well... meanwhile at the same time you want us to fight to lose a couple more games onkly to move up a couple more spots in the draft.. so whats the difference between pick 4 and 6... what if 4 is a bust and 6 is a probowler? would intentionally losind and giving up on your team really that significant? smh.

You realize if we trade down we would be getting a 2nd round pick this year or a 1st round pick next. Trading into the top 5 is costly, we would come away with a nice haul if we traded back.

Picking higher raises your chances of drafting a high impact player in every round, there's no disputing that. There's no guarantees but I will gladly take increased odds with our FO. We always pick at the very end of every round, it's hard to have amazing drafts when all the top prospects are picked over by the time you're on the clock. This FO can do damage with top 5 draft position, I truly believe that.

  3. NFL owes the Ravens 3 games now. Wow.

3 games lost on blown calls is ridiculous. Penalties should be included in challenges, it should have to be "indisputable video evidence" still but it would be a great advancement for the game imo

  4. these last few weeks, especially after the bye... i love what i am seeing from our defensive scheme... we are implementing more cover 2 and more cover 3 zone with both corners playing relatively close to the ball. Also installing some 43 and giving exotic blitz looks... dean pees has been doing his job for a good stretch now... your thoughts?

I would say we just faced horrible competition against broken offenses with no continuity at QB. We will get torched against Pitt/Cincy

Brandon Williams is ridiculously underrated by the national media. If he was on a big market team they would be fawning over him non-stop

  7. And you people called me crazy for wanting to draft Jared Goff -__-

      sflegend89

"Cannot win us games".. yet he's made the playoffs 5/6 years since we drafted him with a new OC every year, he's one of the most winning-est QB's in the NFL since 2008. Sorry that Flacco couldn't turn garbage into gold this year. He had the worst WR core in the entire NFL, a suspect OL, and a defense that couldn't stop a nose bleed, Flacco was the best thing this team had going for it.

  8. When we beat the Chargers... Ray gave the team a pregame speech. We beat the Rams... Ed Reed gave the team a pregame speech. This truly shows we are missing a leader in the locker room. I believe if Suggs didn't get hurt, he would be that guy. Then when Suggs retires, we again have nobody. We need to find a locker room leader for 2016.

I think so as well, he's still only 23. CJ has come out of his shell a lot this year, in a few years I think Daryl is going to hand the defense over to CJ and he will hopefully run with it.

I noticed that as well, the team thrives when it has a vocal leader who the team believes in. I really would like that to be CJ, he seems like he's coming into his own more and more and he's good enough that the whole team will respect what he has to say

Still crazy, Flacco will be back. A torn ACL/MCL in 2015 for a QB isn't a career changer anymore, just a long rehab process

  11. So the NFL officiating crew literally cost us the win. (Admitted by the NFL)This is a big deal though with the WC race as close as it is AND to the Colts. So what are they going to do about it?

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

Nothing. We're not winning out, how many times do we have to show our incompetence and lack of depth as a team for some people to understand that

  12. I wonder if any regrets are setting into Kubiak's mind for leaving... I know they are better now, but how far does anyone really see that team going? When Peyton retires next year, that division is up for grabs.

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

Doubt it, that was his dream job. They still have a top 3 defense, if he can get his hands on a QB after Peyton retires he's right back in business, easier said than done but it's not a bad situation for him at all

  13. You want to know what sucks? In this upcoming FA period we won't have ANY money to get anyone. I REALLY wanted Kendal Wright so we didn't have to worry about receiver until like r3

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

Exactly why we need a top 5 pick, not enough money to get a difference maker in FA, the draft can give us a high level talent with a very low cap hit if we keep losing. It's what's best for the long term. Going 8-8 or 7-9 does nothing for us.

  14. We're either the best bad team or the worst good team and I just can't decide which.

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

worst good team is an oxy moron, good teams don't lose to the Browns at home and go 2-6 on the season.

  15. Colts have fired Pep Hamilton after his units poor performance leading to a 3-5 start (After AFCC appearance last year). Yet here we are, Dean Pees still has a job at 2-6, Harbs get's too buddy-buddy with his staff, be professional and do what's best for the team

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

Luck's influence to bring in Pep has no barring on his performance as an OC in the eyes of the front office. Gruden even grilled Pep's situational playcalling on MNF after running Ahmad Bradshaw straight into Carolina's nasty front 7 on consecutive 3rd and intermediate situations.

Have you guys watched this team at all this year? It's not going to happen, I'm optimistic but a dose of reality has to set in, we can't win out or even get close with our remaining schedule.

Pep wasn't just a scapegoat, his situational playcalling has been absolutely awful and he's been detrimental to Luck from an offensive philosophy stand point.

It's not supposed to be an exact parallel. It is an example of two coordinators on opposite sides of the ball who have had success but have handicapped their personnel with flawed philosophy

  20. YAYYYY! Now Pees won't get fired and we're killing our prime draft position, great win -_-

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

If we lose yesterday there's a good chance Pees is fired today, the win really just pumped life back into Pees job security and not our season

I hope not, it really sucks being in this position, I want to root for us to WIN, but we're just too far gone, shame we squandered so many opportunities to get back on track earlier this year.

  24. Am I a bad fan for hoping we bomb the rest of the season at this point? We need a big draft this year, we won't have much to spend on FA's so I'd rather we be a better team long term than win meaningless games this year, Bosa or Ramsey are game changers with tiny cap hits, Ozzie could even trade and get multiple 1st rounders

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

That's why I'm really hoping Jared Goff just lights it up for the rest of the year and get's his draft stock even higher, if we're in the top 5 and ahead of a QB needy team we could come away with a crazy haul.

Ok gotcha. Yeah that's true but I think I'll take my chances. I even like the idea of doing what the Browns did and flipping a high pick for multiple 1st rounders. Only difference is Ozzie will actually make good use of the extra picks
