  1. Jack, Cravens, Spence, or Alexander C'MON BABY!!!
  2. I find the Browns "moneyball" strategy absolutely hilarious. Jason La Canfora hit the nail right on the head, they're sitting at #2, they could take any blue chip talent they want in the entire draft, they trade back twice, come away with Corey Coleman and a boatload of mid round picks which they haven't been able to hit on for the past decade. Cheers Cleveland.
  3. Just please no Reggie Ragland. His biggest knock is he can't cover.. which is exactly what we need out of that other starting ILB.
  4. 5 years from now we could easily be saying Jalen Ramsey is the best CB in football. I don't feel like we "lost" the 1st round because we missed on the trade though, I think Stanley can come and outstanding LT under the tutelage of Juan Castillo so there is a silver lining. We hit a stand up double with Stanley, I just think you pull the trigger on Ramsey and we hit it out of the park. My draft philosophy is always to swing for the fences, you beat elite teams by having players like Ramsey in the fold.
  5. I hope you do. I think Stanley is going to be an outstanding player which will soften the blow but Jalen Ramsey is going to be a star. Go look at what Marcus Peters did last year as a rookie in KC, Ramsey is 10x the player Peters was coming out, he will dominate.
  6. It worked for the Falcons going up to get Julio Jones who's arguably the best WR in football now. You beat the elite teams in this league with impact players, bottom line. I'll take quality over quantity every day of the week. Now that's not to say I don't like the Stanley pick, I think it's a great addition for our offense and he should turn out to be an outstanding LT for many years to come. It's just going to sting knowing we were so close to Ramsey though, players like him don't just come along every year, he was special. I guess that's where my philosophy and Ozzie's differ, I would rather give up whatever it takes to get a once in a generation player like Ramsey, anything short of a future 1st I would give up in a heartbeat.
  7. This kinda made me sick to read. I didn't realize Dallas was actually fielding offers, I was under the impression we offered and they didn't want to budge. Ozzie should've given up WHATEVER they wanted for Ramsey, he's that kind of player. Wow, I'm speechless, how do you get stingy when you have a once in a generation player there for the taking. Such a travesty, Ramsey is an amazing amazing prospect.
  8. It's this simple, Elliott was Dallas's guy, they had their heart set on him. If they traded with us somebody could've jumped them by trading with the Jags and they didn't want to risk losing him. I'm sure we offered a TON to try to get them to pull the trigger, at the end of the day Zeke meant too much to them to risk it and that's that.
  9. This was a great pick. I was bummed out we were so close to Ramsey but this is still an awesome addition to our team. Quick feet, athletic, smart, ideal size, especially those long arms... this kid is the total package. Especially in the hands of Juan Castillo, woah, he's going to be extremely well coached and making Pro Bowls in no time. The clean off the field record and high character made this one a no-brainer over Tunsil, they're extremely similar prospects on field and Tunsil has a red flag personality type, those types of guys always seem to slip up sooner or later (Gordon, Manziel, Aldon Smith, Blackmon, Randy Gregory) . Classic Ozzie pick, we have all this speed now with Perriman and Wallace, Stanley is going to lock down that blind side and let Joe uncork some long balls to these fast wideouts. Love the pick, can't wait for day 2.
  10. I would say they're very hit or miss. They've knocked a few out of the park, most notably Le'Veon Bell in the 2nd but also whiffed big on quite a few picks as well. Definitely not a fan of Artie Burns as a 1st round prospect, found him clunky and overall unrefined, good size but doesn't do it for me from a technical or fluidity stand point. For the 2nd straight year an AFCN rival has taken their pick and caused them to reach big on a player they didn't truly want at that spot. Squeelers FO has their moments in the draft but I would take Ozzie/Eric & Company over them all day. Our philosophy is always BPA, the Squeelers tend to pick a position of need, like Cornerback for example this year, and stack their board to reflect that. I don't believe they truly thought Burns was the BPA, they thought he was the best CB available and even then I vehemently disagree with them. Mackensie Alexander doesn't have the same size but he's miles ahead of him mentally and technique wise.
  11. If Ozzie picks A'Shawn Robinson, Reggie Ragland, or Derrick Henry in the 2nd tomorrow I may throw a remote through my TV. The pick should be Spence, Dodd, Jack, Alexander, or Cravens, I'm down with any of those guys. If we get Alabama homer'd by Ozzie I'm going to be sick.
  12. I've been saying Artie Burns was overrated when people brought him up as a possible 2nd round choice for us, they clearly panicked when Cincy stole WJ3 right out from under them, love it.
  13. So much value at the beginning of the 2nd, I would really implore us to unload the 3rd and a 4th and pick 2 studs early tomorrow.. I don't see the point of having four 4ths when the board will be picked over by then. Trade 1 or both of our trade eligible 4ths to a team who values them more than us and make some magic happen in this 2nd round.
  14. Considering who's on the board, yes. But if he's hanging around at the end of the 2nd I would LOVE to trade up from our 3rd and snag him.
  15. More I read about and watch Stanley the better I feel about that pick. He's an outstanding athlete for a guy his size, truly believe he'll be a pro bowl caliber LT. When the playoffs roll around and you have to deal with all these nasty edge rushers in the AFC we'll be happy we have an athlete like Stanley protecting Joe's blindside who has those quick feet to seal the edge. Look, the Patriots tried to run a sub par OL last year and they paid the price, the Broncos ate Tom Brady alive (same with Cam in the SB). That's why I like the pick over somebody like Buckner for instance, what good is a DE when you can't even keep your QB off his back against the NFL's elite teams. LT is one of the top 3 most important in football. People wanted a sexy pick, myself included, it's not a sexy pick but it's a damn smart one.
  16. Agreed
  17. Not sure Spence is a fit with Dallas, he's a true 3-4 OLB. Don't think he's good enough against the run to be a DE.
  18. No way, compensation is too low at this point. What good is fifth 4th round pick if we miss out on our pass rusher? If Spence is there you take him, top 15 talent.
  19. Apple, Fuller, Burns jump out to me.
  20. Can't Myles Jack get the Kobe Bryant stem cell injection in Germany or is this whole bone/cartilagel a completely different deal?
  21. With the 32nd pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Manti Te'o's girlfriend
  22. GM's don't get to draft with a crystal ball. It's easy as a fan to say that. Why would you take a guy with CLEAR red flags when there is a player at the same position who many feel is just as good if not better. Stanley is a better athlete than Tunsil, all week we've been hearing that he could go to SD and many feel he's the best OL in the draft.
  23. How so? The Titans traded up and STILL took Conklin over Tunsil, we did the right thing.
  24. Why? We got our LT of the future and a bunch of studs falling to us in the 2nd
  25. Alexander or Spence at 36, mark it
