  1. I wanted the Steelers to lose and unnecessary, stupid penalties killed that. Brown was not even going to catch the ball so there is no need to hit him. Be smart. Even after that it's a long field goal and Adam goes off. For all their chest beating and trash talk, they are an disgrace to their fans.
  2. That's why they are the Bungles. Can't win with dumb players. Unbelievable.
  3. I see why they are the Bungles. Poor game planning.
  4. You can't be a true Ravens fan and root for the Steelers under any circumstances. Steeler fans never root for the Ravens. Just the way it is.
  5. The fact that OZ pointed out Webb and Monroe as guys who can play well for Ravens next years makes be believe he is either lost his analytical skills or pulling a cya because as other analyst outside of the Ravens have stated , Webb and Monroe are overpaid.
  6. I agree. That whole press conference was a big example of spin. The play improved because the quality of QBs decreased. Moving Webb to safety is not an answer.
  7. One interesting segment of this press conference was the discussion around DeCosta. They said it's like having 2 GMs and Eric takes control of the draft room. I found that interesting since it seems like Ravens have been missing in recent drafts. I wonder if OZ will be more involved. I expect a more aggressive approach to getting talent either draft or free agency.
  8. I like his desirable to learn and toughness on the field. The "preseason game" where he put his body on the line to pick up a first down says volumes about his character. Plays with a chip.`
  9. I think this is a good point you made. I think Elam is just a miss , but Brooks have all the physical attributes and is a big hitter. Yes he made mistake but that every guy in that secondary. He should be given the opportunity to compete and not hand it to Webb to justify the big contract he has.
  10. Ravens need to just swallow their pride and admit they miss at safety. Hill, Lewis, Elam, Trawick, Levine, Brooks, and now the Webb experiment. How many saftety they want on the roster that can't make an impact. Webb has 2 bum knees putting him in space where he will have to tackle TEs and come up for run support at 186lbs. He will be injured by week 4. Webb is done. Trade or cut him. The secondary is a mess just own it.
  11. Monroe has under achieved. Trade him or cut him post June 1. KO is more valuable than J. Smith , Webb, or Pitta yet he will probably be gone since not enough money with the cap situation. We never have enough money to keep good players. Tag KO at Guard this year and pay or draft LT next year.
  12. First let me say I like Pitta and wish his injury never happened. However, signing a guy to a long term deal after he broke his hip of all things is foolish from a GM that let other players walk for a mil here or there saying he won't be sentimental. That along with giving up picks to get Monroe and then extending his contract (while he stands on the sideline), paying Webb and Smith big CB dollars and neither are pro bowlers. These contract have not made the Ravens better and have helped put them in a bad Cap situation. The investment in CPA money has had poor returns. Add to that the players they drafted who have under achieved or are not durable. They used 3 draft picks on TE in the last couple of years. Time to let Pitta go and if he's able to play, it has to be with another team at this point. If not, you are occupying a team with 4 TE spots that have needs in other areas.
  13. Ravens have the opportunity to get both a pass rusher and S in the first 2 rounds. I like Ramsey, Shaq Lawson in the first. Kearse, Bush, Calhoun in the second. Ravens have not been in this position to get an top pass rusher so must have someone behind aging Suggs and Dumervil. OT, S, Wr can get later.
  14. I agree that better coaching is needed. However, Webb is 176-180 lbs with surgically repaired wheels. He's done. A Safety need speed, size, and to be physical since they often pursue TE, provide run support, and tackle in the open. Webb doesn't have those traits (at not anymore). It's time for Ravens to move on if as fans we want to see our team win. Draft Bush, Ramsey, Kearse and get a pass rusher so our defense can improve.
  15. Ravens need a pass rusher, safety, and Wr. With the 6th overall pick, they should be able to get that in the first three rounds of the draft. Ravens need to start loading the roster with young players that can develop to pro bowl caliber. Guys like Webb, J Smith, and Monroe have gotten big contract eating up the cap without making an impact. Webb at safety is just to save the ego that OZ overpaid Webb. Other teams look for Webb is the secondary. He is a liability on the field and the CAP.
  16. Snoop is like most Steelers fans who are also Yankees fans, who are also Lakers fans, those who jump on the bandwagon of any team with a history of success. No true Steeler fan would put on Ravens gear.
  17. For fans clamoring for Pagano to return keep in mind he had a ball hawk in Ed Reed, a intimidating hit man in Pollard, and while not great Foxworth and C. Williams are better CBs than what the Ravens have now. Colts defense looks terrible. I like Pags and his attacking style, but the bottom line is the Ravens don't have the safeties and CB to be aggressive. Pags would need time to build that.
  18. It's interesting Jimmy would say that because he was the guy that I hoped would be able to keep AJ Green in check. AJ Green has been a one man wrecking crew on the Ravens. I can think of 3 games where we had a late fourth quarter lead and Dalton throws to Green and he runs wild through the secondary . Once Reed left a lot of teams knew Ravens could be beat deep. Offensively, we don't have the Boldin, Pitta, Torrey threat. Bengals have a solid secondary and Ravens need quality guys to beat them. That's why Steelers give them fits, they have a a lot of good Wrs. If Perriman can be a threat, he plus Gilmore, Smith Sr. can stop this run of Bengals victories against us.
  19. If SSS returns it's probably for only 1 year. The Ravens still need to bring in a FA vet at the right price and add another WR in the middle of draft. Some of the guys currently on the roster will have a hard time sticking around. Campanero is injury prone so far and Clay is a solid returner. M. Brown has been declining. Perriman is a question mark but Ravens will keep 1st round pick. I see Smith Sr., Aiken, Perriman as locks but after that who knows. Butler, Matthews, Givens have contributed, but it will depend or who is brought in to compete since Perriman is a big question mark on skill and health and Ravens needs a deep threat.
  20. 1. Ravens with some 2nd, and 3rd stringers in key positions competed against a team like the Steelers who are supposed to be a team no one wants to play. I am Interested to see if this continues against Bengals. 2. Matthews, Clay, Givens, Butler are going to make IR%u2019d receivers work to get playing time. Clay is a solid returner, Givens can stretch the field, Matthews plays like a big guy in the Red Zone, and Butler has great hands. (M. Brown, Waller, Campanero are going to have to beat them out now.) 3. Can Mallet continue to make a bid for backup QB? Joe%u2019s injury may not allow him to start at the beginning of the season so a solid back-up could be huge. 4. Pees finally used cover 2. Gave up yards in the run, but kept everything in front of defense. Steelers rely on the big play and Pees gave his CBs the 2 safety help they need to be successful. Jimmy and Webb play much better in a cover 2 look. 5. This will be an interesting offseason. I like the growth of guys. The depth at WR could be a strength if Ravens can add a vet and Perriman can finally contribute. TEs are rock solid. RB is deep with Foresett, Allen, West, and LT? Quietly KO is solid at Left tackle. KO adds physical play at LT position. I wish we could keep him. Between draft and free agency Ravens can add a top pass rusher, Safety, and OT
  21. Only one thing to say Steeler Nation: You Like That!
  22. I have to give the coaches a hand for this one. They played cover 2 to prevent the big plays which cause Ben to hold the long enough for rush to pressure. J. Smith plays better when he know he has over the top help. Mallett has a big arm to take advantage and Aiken continue to prove himself. Made my holiday weekend.
  23. Victory!
  24. The story of this years Ravens - ground hogs day. Another mindless call like Harbs decision to go for it on 4th and 9 deep in their own territory, Another dumb penalty by defense, another 2 INT QB performance, another player on IR, and another press conference full of excuses. I love my team, but sometimes I wonder if Harbs is in denial. If the Steelers roll into M&T and light it up , maybe Harbs and OZ will realize how far behind the Ravens are sinking in the AFC North.
  25. Jernigan response indicates he is not about team success. He mentions if I didn't hit him and he continues to run, cameras will be in MY face. He thinks of his image rather than keeping his head in the game and knowing the situation. Neither did he apologize for costing the team. You can't just have the coach telling you the right things, you need the players to be locker room leaders and hold each other accountable. Team does not have good leadership among players. They make excuses for stupid plays every week. Just like Harbs stupid excuse for going for it 4th and 9 on their 30 yard line. He commented it was 21-7 but it was 14-7. Maybe they get lack of situation from the coach.
