  1. Something not right with Ozzie. I have to agree. So Correa and a 4th and 5th round pick is worth passing on Jack, Spence who were consensus first round talents. You need players to make an impact and you get Correa (a depth guy). Always outsmarting themselves. It reminds me when all of them high fived Matt Elam.
  2. Passed on Spence so next pick better be worth it
  3. OZ keep trading back. unbelievable! They need a pass rusher and they risk moving back. No excuse. SMH
  4. Stanley will protect Joe while Wallace and Perriman go deep. Offense is set if they stay healthy.
  5. I think Monroe is now on the clock. Now that the o-line has it's parts, time for a pass rusher. I think Calhoun, Correa and dream would be Spence.
  6. I think it's a mistake to pass on Buckner when you have two guys that can play tackle
  7. Over the past 3 years the glaring weakness of the Ravens has been the inability for the defense to get off the field and hold 4th quarter leads. Two 14-point leads surrendered in New England may have cost us a title, AJ Green embarrassing the secondary ever trip to M&T, and even average QBs like McCown, Alex Smith, Bortles shredding the Ravens. Chargers, Jags, or Cowboys will take another player other than Buckner, Bosa, or Ramsey. So one of those top 3 defenders is the preferred choice. Worst Case, Tunsil (the best player in the draft ) falls in your lap. Big Smile on my face.
  8. I would be extremely disappointed if the Ravens traded out of the 6 pick. They need a top player more than more picks. At pick 6 take the BPA no hesitation.
  9. Excluding trading down right away would be a mistake. Trade down to get who? If you trade back you also risk someone jumping you to get that player. IMO, not a risk worth taking. Ravens could use a LT, CB, Pass Rusher (either interior or edge). Tunsil, Ramsey, Bosa,, Buckner. That's four players and only 3 selections IF Rams and Eagle take a QB. If Ravens move, there no guarantee that a better you expect will be there. Ask yourself why is a player you want falling back to you?
  10. I don't think the Ravens should even consider trading back at this point. They should trust their board. There are no guarantees in any draft. If either Buckner, Bosa, Ramsey, or Tunsil are not good enough at the number 6 pick, then what does they say about the guys behind them. The strength of the is based on the guys in the draft and those are consensus top talents. Last thing the Ravens need, with all of their defensive needs and older players , is to trade back and get a guy that 10-14 teams passed on. Stay and get one of the best rated players in the draft. Where ar ethe Ravens so talneted that they should pass on a top 6 player?
  11. I think he will give the Ravens a faster more athletic TE to threat the middle of the field. Gilmore should be used in the same way, but he is not as fast. It's been what the Patriots have been doing for years, TE seam routes. At 6'6" both he and Gilmore should have an advantage over the middle
  12. Every time he struggles it's a health issue. Even his rookie year. Most players say that you will never feel 100 percent after a couple of years in the league. Its an excuse. He is what he is after five years in the league and that is why Ravens will be drafting a CB in the first 3 rounds.
  13. He needs to be a play maker before guys just start listening to what he says. There are still more guys currently on the defense more accomplished than himself. Ray Lewis was a young leader, but he was dominating at his position. That's not Mosely yet. Gotta earn leadership. It's not given cause your a first round pick and expected to lead.
  14. There is no guarantee Suggs is his old self after 2 Achilles and being 33 years old. If Bosa is there, take him. I agree pass on Jack cause of injury concerns and not an edge rusher.
  15. Any other time I would think slam dunk. There is no way the Ravens not secure a great player. However, lately the Ravens have been missing. The number one reason the Ravens do not already have 3 titles is over the years they lost their rivals star. Whether its been AJ Green, Antonio Brown, Gronk, James Harrison, Polamalu they make those 4th quarter plays that beat us. For the Ravens it's simple Ramsey, Bosa, Tunsil, or Buckner in that order. If they take Jack or Elliot then they still don't have a pass rusher, CB, or LT. and would done nothing to compete against Steelers, Bengals, Patriots which are your division and palyoff rivals. If your one of your top needs are in the consensus top 6, you take them. They don't need a RB or ILB. OZ should keep it simple cause it's all laid out for Ravens to get pass rusher, CB,LT in the first 3 rounds. Anything else is failure.
  16. Trent Richardson is 25. He was star at Alabama and 3rd overall pick. LT is more injured than not and played at East Coast Carolina. Please there is no comparison. If he plays like his rookie year or like he did at Alabama it is a win win for the Ravens. It isn't a lot of money we are paying him and there are no guarantees he makes the team. What if Derrick Henry is there in the 2nd? Richardson did nothing in Cleveland or Indy. He is available for a reason. Pour money down the drain. And if you are talking about often injured players include Campanero, Webb, Monroe at better position to upgrade than RB which you are already 4 deep.
  17. I don't like this signing. Ravens already have to split touches between Foresett, Allen, West? and LT. Add Richardson and young guys you drafted get even less touches. Richardson probably will not play special teams so he's just a short yard option. No matter how small the contract is there are other places to spend money to make an impact.
  18. Which he may do or draft Jack and watch him on the sideline for most of the season. That's my feared screw-up. Jack , when healthy, is a top 3 talent college player. If Dallas, Browns, and Jags pass him for others that are not rated as high, red flag.
  19. I don't like Jack as one of those option cause the Ravens can not risk taking a first round pick on a guy with a knee injury concerns when they already have a first round ILB in Mosley. You can criticize his ability to cover, but that's most ILB in the league. Replace Jack with Stanley. Stanley has flaws but they can be corrected with coaching and time in the weight room. Ramsey, Tunsil, Buckner, Bosa, Stanley give the Ravens the best chance at a 10 yr starter that can be a pro bowl player. Three questions the Ravens must address by the end of the draft are: did they get a play-maker in the secondary, did they improve the ability to rush the passer, did they solidify the o-line for Joe, did they get a playmaker on offense (which they added in Wallace and Watson but you would like youth there). I would say Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa, Buckner, Stanley.
  20. The home away outside of the division is based on the position you finish. Patriot always win their division so they get the home game against us. 2012 we played them at home cause 2011 we won the division. The last 4 are tough on PAPER. The games against Bengals and Steelers could determine playoff berth and I think it will take 11 games to get in. However, if the Ravens are a good team, then I think they have 11 wins before week 14. Also I think the Bengals take a step back. A lot of analyst on NFL network are predicting Steelers as a Superbowl team which is the kiss of doom.
  21. If Ravens are healthy then they should win 9 games easily. 2-Browns, 1-Steelers, 1-Raiders,1-Jaguars,1-Jets,1-Bills,1-Dolphins,1-Eagles. The rest are Washington, Giants, Cowboys, Patriots, 2- Bengals, Steelers. If Ravens can go at least 2-5 in those seven games then that's 11-5 and in the playoffs. The key will be defense home field which is vey possible given the teams they face and at least split in the division.
  22. If Rams take Wentz, then maybe Browns are not sold on Goff so they take a defensive player. There's no guarantee 2 QBs are taken. I don't want Myles Jack or Smith. Jack only has one sack in 3 years of college football so why should Ravens take him at #6 when they already have Mosley. Ravens can get a fast ILB 3rd or 4th round to help in coverage. We need pass rushers, CBs, and another OT. There will be options at number 6 so Ravens should fill a need with a player in the top 10.
  23. This is one of the few articles that not bias. Two out of the last 3 years Ravens have missed the playoffs. Yes, the Ravens will be better, but such is the hope of every team in the offseason. Your 2 leaders on both side of the ball , Joe and Suggs, are coming off major injuries. Wr corp has questions marks. Will Perriman be healthy and a contributor, how much does Smith Sr. have left, can Campanero stay on the field, Can Aiken repeat last year numbers. They lost a key component of the o-line in KO. Lost their starting SS in Will Hill, ILB D. Smith. With those players they were 5-11 so I can understand toning down the playoff talk. Other teams have added players from free agency and managed to keep their core players. Let's fly under the radar like 2008 after a 5-11 2007 season and see what happens.
  24. Ravens have too many players nursing injuries as it is. They already invested 4 players to that position. Last year he described his hip as that of an 80 year old man. It is time for the Ravens to move on.
  25. You do realize we dont have Daryl Smith anymore right? Jack does fill a need...and would instantly improve our coverage, which would also allow Mosely to come up and better defend the run First , you don't need a first round pick to replace a 30+ year old ILB. You do realize Ravens have many other needs. Can Jack cover after a knee injury? What's his 40 time. Why no running drills at the combine? I think it's crazy not to be concerns. IMO
