  1. Every since that Superbowl run the Ravens convinced themselves that the offense can run through Joe. In the Ravens championship/playoff run there was always been a power FB like Leach, Gash, O Neal and big physical o-linemen. like Birk, McKinney, KO, Mulitalo. I know its a passing league but even Brady, Big Ben, Manning have somewhat of a run game to set things up. When they don't, they lose games.
  2. Harbs has to give the OK. Reminds me of the Rams game when Joe got hurt. There a difference between aggressive and foolish. Harbs is foolish. When have these fake FG ever worked?
  3. Poor decisions, dropped passes, mistakes, poor coverage on ST, poor pass protection adds up to a bad football team. Now injuries to Smith Sr, Mosley, Wagner, Stanley ? Next Week the Ravens will face a desperate Giants team. It is a bad matchup for the Ravens next week. OBJ, Cruz, Shepard may light up this secondary if the pass rush is not excellent and offense has multiple 3 and outs. This week was the ST and offense. Next week may be the defense's turn. This just does not look like a good football. Hopefully, we can see better football. Otherwise Harbs is in the hot seat next year.
  4. I'm not saying Trestman is not terrible cause he definitely is . Every season the offense can not put a full game together. Every OC looks like someone that needs to be fired.. When do you start to look at your QB? I said during the offseason, when the Ravens FO office was bringing in Wallace and Watson. This is the year for no excuses for Joe Flacco. He has size, speed, and experience from his receivers. The talent is there, but is walking around with a 79.7 QB rating. After 9 years, he is still the QB that runs the play as they are called without diagnosing the defense to take advantage of matchups and alignments. My Five things to watch before the game 1. Will Joe throw accurately today? Somewhat 2. Does he protect the football? Yes 3. Is his play consistent all 4 quarters? No 4. Is he making adjustments at the line? No 5. Joe’s production. He facing a defense that gives up the run and pass. Can he be ‘the guy’ that gets the offense going? No Post game Joe is complaining about the play calling and last week he is complaining about throwing the ball down the field. Joe that's your job. Throw the ball accurately down field! Physically Joe is elite. He has the big arm, mobility, toughness. Above the neck he is below average. That is one of the biggest reason the offense struggles. It was the same under Cam and under Caldwell. Joe, spend extra time with the receiver and watch film. Get your mental game and fundamentals improved.
  5. We have everything we need," said Ravens coach John Harbaugh. "But, we can't play like that, and make the mistakes we made in this game and win the football game." I don't know, but sounds like he is throwing players under the bus. He mentions Gilmore slipping on the fake FG attempt (on 4 and 12 SMH) Mosley poor technique. Lack of protection for the QB Blamed young guys not stepping up on special teams The play calling killed them and he is not apologizing for that. How can you say you have the right scheme when your offense can only put 10 points on the board at home. I don't know if it's blind arrogance, incompetence , or stupidity.
  6. Every since Flacco had that outstanding streak of playoff games and Superbowl MVP, the Ravens have moved away from their winning formula. They made the mistake of thinking Joe can carry the team. Ravens winning formula has always been run the ball well and let play action setup big plays. Kubiak understood that and as a result Foresett had a career year and Joe turned in his best season. Trestman is going to turn Flacco into Cutler. A QB that gets beaten up to point where he loses his technique and can't accurately throw the ball. Joe is regressing under Trestman. Even before the injuries he was playing bad last year. Give Mortiwig a shot. Trestman is out by the bye week. Harbs has always been a poor decision maker. Even in the Superbowl that stupid fake FG attempt was based on "Something they worked really hard on". The stupid challenges and poor time management. When is he going to get better. OZ owned up to his bad drafting. It's time for Harbs to own up to his failures.
  7. 1. This team is trending down. Every team we play looks like a playoff team, a good defense. I'm tired of the apologies and the we'll keep working at it. 2. Joe has been in the league 9 years. Has yet to have a 4,000 yard season. Too many ball are either high or at receivers feet. The 6 yard passes on 3rd and long are embarrassing. There are rookies playing better than Joe. he has a 79.7 rating so far and every team has had a bad defense. Elite? That's not even good. 3. Trestman has to go. I do not consider firing him a knee jerk reaction. We had all of last season to see how terrible he is. Let the rest of the season determine if his replacement is here or somewhere else 4. Harbs is arrogant. Not only does he not own the poor fake field goal call or moving away from the running game, he called out Mosley on 'technique" and mentions it was costly. he could lose some players especially since the defense has been the only bright spot this season. 5. The boo birds were out and who could blame them. Someone seat is getting hot. If there is no improvement before the bye week, expect changes.
  8. This offense had the ball on the 15 yard line after a turnover and got 0 points. Even if Perriman caught the ball, it would not have changes the outcome. The offense stinks.
  9. But he called out Mosley on the fumbled int and Gilmore on the fake FG. Arrogance by the coach
  10. I don't have a problem with anything you said. Trestman has just fired himself. If not this season, then offseason. All of that while Steve and OZ is watching above. I only disagree with the Flacco assessment. I think he may be above average but not elite. I say this because other than Kubiack he has had 3 terrible OC's. The ravens don't promote from within anymore so they don't really have a system. In the NFL consistency is everything. I say that should dump Harbaugh and Trestman. A head coach should be responsible for his personnel and his decision making. Based on what I've seen, the Ravens should make a run at Josh McDaniel. He has been in the league for 9 years. He had a $120 M contract. Time to stop blaming "Just" the OC. He needs to be a playmaker and read the defense, step into throws, and be accurate with ball. 30/46 210 yards against a terrible defense
  11. He blamed Gilmore for stumbling during the fake FG attempt. unacceptable and clueless. "We are going to be aggressive" How about sticking to what actually works?
  12. Some Suggestions 1. Fire Trestman. Maybe that's not possible cause no other coach is capable of running the offense. If I'm OZ he is definitely gone next year. 2. Next time your running game is averaging 8.6 yards and Trestman calls a pass play. yell at him on the side line. As fans we need to see that the entire team is not stupid. Tell Joe to run the ball. 3. The next time the offense sputters for almost an entire half, sit Joe down. If he is not getting time to throw why leave him out there to get injured. See if Mallet can get a spark. Hold everyone accountable. Send a message.
  13. I don't have a problem with anything you said. Trestman has just fired himself. If not this season, then offseason. All of that while Steve and OZ is watching above.
  14. "RB Terrance West West had another strong game, rushing 11 times for 95 yards. He ran the ball four times after gaining 60 yards in the first quarter" That fact sums up the entire game. Why go away from the run game? After 9 years Joe has shown you can't put the entire game on his shoulder. They need a balanced attack and Trestman is pass happy
  15. Which had the bigger impact Coaches mistakes 1. The fake FG attempt 2. Abandoned the run game. West get only 11 carries 8.6 yds per rush 3. Seconds left in the half deep in their own territory and pass the ball. Wagner gets hurt. That rotates the line and now Joe has no time (Reminded me of when Joe got hurt last year passes the ball instead of just running to position for FG) Players 1. The punt return by skins 2. Dropped pass by Perriman 3. Mosley fumble out of the endzone IMO worst example of play calling and coaching decision I've seen in one Ravens game
  16. Agreed. Also, 10 point against one of the worst defense in the league. Cousin making plays against the #1 defense. That's Joe too. West tearing up the ground game and they abandon the run in a one score game. Coaches Going for a fake FG after a turnover - SMH Moving away from run game with West averaging over 9 yards a carry QB Joe just fails to play like a franchise QB for 4 quarters no matter who he is playing Really? How about: O-Line: 3 sacks, 10 hits, 14 hurries. Over half the pass plays. WR: Dropped passes. Perriman drops a perfectly thrown TD bomb. Wallace drops a perfectly thrown pass (Aiken same last week). Specials Teams: Aiken misses another tackle allowing a huge PR. 75% of all pass plays are either rushed or dropped. I don't care if Vince Lombardi or Bill Walsh is calling plays - it's a loss. Its all of what you listed and more. However 10 points against that defense? How does a QB get off the hook for that? Trestman is terrible Harbs decision making is horrible. Joe has another game with 46 attempts and under 300 yards. Is he "The problem". No. But he is not the difference maker that his salary demands
  17. Agreed. Also, 10 point against one of the worst defense in the league. Cousin making plays against the #1 defense. That's Joe too. West tearing up the ground game and they abandon the run in a one score game. Coaches Going for a fake FG after a turnover - SMH Moving away from run game with West averaging over 9 yards a carry QB Joe just fails to play like a franchise QB for 4 quarters no matter who he is playing
  18. 5/8 at 39 seconds.60 yard drive..... Touchdown!!!! Flacco to Perriman looks like his foot dragged before it was out. Wallace drops the pass, Perriman doesn't get his foot in bounds. Shame....good drive. So none of that is Joe?
  19. 5/8 at 39 seconds.60 yard drive..... Touchdown!!!! Flacco to Perriman looks like his foot dragged before it was out. Last drive 17. Another low throw by Joe 18. Joe scrambles on 4th down to get first down 19. Over thrown to Perriman 20. 2 completions to Juice underneath 21. Wallace on sideline 22. High to Perriman does not allow run after catch 23. Dumb pass into double coverage 24. Incomplete to Wallace I'll give you this. If Harbs had just kick the FG, Tucker could have tied the game.
  20. That completion percentage is dink and dunk. Where are the TD, chunk yard, big time plays?
  21. Washington moving the ball against the #1 defense and Ravens only have 10 points in the 4th quarter against one of the worst defense in the league. It’s the OC and the QB.
  22. your explanations only confirm that so far Joe is not the problem. As far as standing in the pocket, that is by play design. If he rolls out without blockers he is a sitting duck. Extending the play is only a small portion of the game and often falls on the receivers to make a play beyond the design not just the QB. Are you watching the game? Do you see the high balls, the abandoning of the run game? A high caliber QB notices his guys are getting locked down and make adjustment based on what he sees. He makes the throws when the game is on the line. He walks up and down the sideline in guys faces to get protection, catch balls. Joe is not doing that against one of the worst defenses in the league. Meanwhile Cousin, and the #1 defense is making plays. That's the difference
  23. Actually that is a big time play yo need from your Defense. It's never Joe? But he's the highest paid guy on the team. That's a problem in it self.
  24. half 1. illegal contact J. Smith – skins punt good defense series 2. last stupid play at end of half got Wagner injured and now Jensen in the game 3. illegal shift 2nd and 11,run, sack, punt ball at 50 yard line 4. J Smith get beat. 13-10 Skins SMH 5. Ravens next drive, pass, pass, pass 3 and out – punt ball in Wash 1 yd line 6. Mosley int then fumbles out of the endzone –stupid play. Another wasted opportunity 7. Skins run game starting to dominate, J Smith getting eaten up by Garcon 8. Defense getting worked. This team can’t play well for 60 minutes on any side of the ball. 9. FG – 16-10 Skins 10. West another big run 11. Joe stand like a statue and does not buy time, misses Aiken with Skins on his back. Cousin is moving with roll out buying time, Flacco is a sitting target. That’s on player and coach IMO -PUNT 12. Encroachment –Pierce 1& 5 13. Cousins get hit but completes the pass. That’s the big time plays you need from your QB
  25. lets look at your issue in just a little more detail; First i believe that you are missing the most glaring stat- that receivers, TE and RB- MUST catch the ball- SSr, Wallace, Aiken, Perriman, Williams, Forsett, Gilmore, Moore and West have ALL dropped passes that were right in their hands. Unacceptable! ( in fact the reason we lost the game sunday was simply because of dropped passes during the past drive) Though Joe would not throw anyone under the bus. 17 drops ( not misses) is embarrassing for an offense, Quite honestly until they start catching the ball, I will not criticize Joe. Joe Flacco cannot throw and catch the passes. Joe doesn't make the play calls, he can adjust the call at the line if he has the proper personnel. O line played very below average last game. So far the ravens have out scored and gained more yards than their opponents this is a direct reflection on Joe, certainly you cannot attribute it to a running game If a defense allows 3rd down and 19, 16, 12, 8 and 7 you can expect that points will be scored by the opponent Yeah I been there with the dropped passes excuses and play calling. The elite QBs, pro bowl QB still get it done. Listen, he threw the ball 52 times last week, 45 times the week before that. I think it's a wash. How many times is he throwing too high or behind receivers without touch. They also catch his poorly thrown balls. It's just another excuse. I get it. I've been there. But watch the game. If receiver dropped 5 balls, what bout there other 35 attempts? example....first drive Sunday. No dropped passes. The elite QB in the NFL has a completion rating of 69% get rid of the 17 dropped passes and Joe would be at 69% and have 4 more TD's. Your right so far. Flacco has been very good. Very stupid coaching decisions making this game closer than it should be. Note: deep passes are always low percentage. Perriman should have caught the ball, but why not keeping pounding the run with West averaging 10 yards per carry?
