  1. Let the cruise ship drama lie, it's over.

    It's the movie thread!

Saw the Dark Knight Rises two days ago - JGL as Robin is about as close as you can get. I'd never heard Bane before but had to LOL every time he said something. Sounded like a cross between an old man and a bad Shakespeare actor combined with a ambiguous foreign accent.

  2. Reservoir Dogs. But it depends. Are you a Tarantino fan? Not much happening in that movie, lots of long monologues. I liked it though.

Loved every one of his movies, from Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, to Django. Reservoir Dogs is the last major one on my list.

  3. Django was a great movie. I burst out laughing several times, not because it was humorous per se, but because of how unexpected, righteous, and fun the movie was.

When Django is whipping the brothers (don't remember their name) but the camera pans out and he is standing there, in that blue getup, in a hero shot. Outrageously good!

Christopher Waltz playing a part to perfection - as he did in with Tarantino Inglorious Jerks.

DiCaprio and Jackson being memorable with such short screen times. I didn't even realize it was Samuel L until I heard him speak.

Overall just a great, riveting, fun movie. What movies should be like.

  4. Problem. The new consoles, including the new Xbox may not give you the ability to play Used Games. They didn't announce anything about it yesterday so either the rumor of the new systems rendering used games useless were false or it will be announced at a later date.

I think they'll just make you buy those stupid online passes like a lot of games do already. EASY way for them to make money with no legitimate reason.

I also hate how everything is being tied to social media. I don't want facebook/twitter/etc connected to my gaming. I hope there's a way where this is not required.

  5. One question about "Pacific Rim", why do the gigantic robots have to be kung-fu fighters? Can't they attach some guns to them?

Anyways, just got back from The Hobbit. Amazing! Same feel as LOTR but more digestible while still being epic - even the girls, who would otherwise be uninterested in such genres, said it was great. I like that they added in the storyline of the Necromancer, too, gives more meaning to Gandalf's wanderings and importance to the ring while introducing 'old' characters. A lot of deviations they made from the book, while minor, made it easier to follow.

    GREAT. Peter Jackson strikes again.
