  1. Berad nailed it. He's a good player, my only concern is him matching up with teams that have more than one big WR. Haden can handle a guy on his own, but if you go up against a team that has say, Megatron and Brandon Marshall you might be in trouble lol

He reminds me of Josh Wilson. Munnerlyn is stouter but similarly athletic. Wilson is also a good player but we saw him get muscled by big WRs (Roddy White, specifically).

  2. We were desperate for a Franchise Left Tackle and Oher was literally the last guy with any potential on the board. Plus Suggs was entering his 6th season and was only 25 at the time. We just signed him to a big deal (or he was still franchised) He entered the NFL very young.

It was great at the time and the Ravens were excited but, 4 years later, who looks better?

We still had Gaither though so I don't think the need at LT was so overwhelming. Oher kept falling and they thought he was a steal.

  3. He made his pick that had been previously skipped from round 19.

I think what happened is then Blackbirds saw that PuRock was the last person to pick, assumed that meant sizzle was up. Since Blackbirds picks after sizzle, he PMed him to let him know because he was eager to make his own pick. But no one had looked at the board to realize the pick PuRock had made was not in the regular order of things, but rather a "make up" pick.

Yes and that makes the most sense to me too

  4. Yeah but for some strange reason my posts from at least Saturday and Sunday are all gone. Not sure about the weekdays from last week.

It looks like everything before July (or right around then) was wiped out. Your account was flagged as a spammer which - since none of our mods did it - means an IP was flagged on a different Invision board and it's why your account was affected. That's my theory at least, it's happened to other users here, too.

Sorry for the inconvenience, it's a hassle.

Unfortunately, it took out your Rome: Total War 2 topic as well :(

  5. I think the prequels are an instance where a lot of the casting was phenomenal, it was just let down by a poor script and bad direction.  Neeson was obviously great as his character as was Samuel L. Jackson.  The real gem was Ewan McGregor though, who I thought perfectly fit the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and I saw a logical progression towards the awesomeness of Sir Alec Guinness.  Natalie Portman was let down a lot by the script (I know she can act), but it's hard to forgive Christensen.  The story sucked and the scripts were even worse than the original trilogy.

It's time to acknowledge that George Lucas sucks as a director, and as a writer (his real blemish in the OT being his unnatural scripting and the Ewoks).  He's a good world builder and marketer, he's willing to push technology and try new things, but he's a really bad director.  That's something you hear all the time from the cast.  Episode IV is his one lucky masterpiece, but even then the best movie of his saga was directed by someone else.  Even a nobody was capable of doing a better job than Lucas, which is kinda sad.

Wow, the first paragraph sums up perfectly what I was thinking. Didn't know that about the original trilogy, thanks for filling me in. Lucas did get really carried away with putting out unnecessary effects and characters.

  6. Billick is one of the best guys to do something like that. He's so charismatic it's hard not to love it.

Just saw Identity Thief, pretty good but nothing great.

Also rewatched Star Wars episode 1. Falters in comparison to the originals but I think the pod racing is cool, Qui Gon was a baller, and Darth Maul was one of the best bad guys in the series
