  1. Fun fact that a lot of people may know. To decide on the "Ravens" nickname, the Modells approached the Baltimore Sun to host a telephone poll with naming options of: Ravens, Americans, Marauders, Mustangs, and Railers. The Ravens won the poll by a very large margin with Marauders and Americans finishing second and third, respectively. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/team/history/naming-baltimores-team.html Later that year, the team unveiled it's colors and original jerseys and logos.
  2. The GIF is a little choppy but Vonta knocking down a guy who has about 100lbs more than him - Casey Hampton - on a wham/trap block
  3. Vikings Season 4A showed up on Amazon Prime streaming this week if anyone watches that. I'm planning on starting that season tonight.
  4. If only we had someone rock solid like Eugene Monroe, right? This seems too contrived...
  5. Yes he did and, if I recall, the Browns Phil Taylor kept him from falling over on some FG and XP attempts during our game - that's good sportsmanship.
  6. Well she could beat down Hines Ward so...
  7. My mom takes B vitamins daily - she's no NFL player...
  8. San Fran may be overrated but I had some excellent meals there when I went ~8 years ago. The seafood pasta I had was probably the best I've ever had and I've tried (with varying results) to find something like it again.
  9. That actually looks really delicious!
  10. Its not my fault
  11. The video of that terrible action still looms too large. If he was going to get a second chance, he would've already had it, in my opinion. Every day that passes ages him and puts him further in the NFL rear-view. He and his agent put out these statements in the offseason to try and drum up interest but you can see right through them - it is over for him in all likelihood. He can still make a difference by talking to and supporting groups - remember he talked to our rookie earlier this summer, hopefully made an impact. Like it or not, that video made people have a visceral reaction and was something he can't deny - unlike the static images that come out for some others' DV incidents. Not saying it's any better or worse, violence against a partner is a disgrace but there's something about seeing it happen.
  12. So it looks like LeVeon Bell actually IS facing a 4-game suspension for a missed drug tests, appeal is in-process. Can't fix stupid. http://espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0548131088527004982-4 edit - it's actually multiple drug tests. Hope his album is doing well! 13. That's awesome - at an event?
  14. Good for him - how can you fault him for looking out for his health? However, with the money we gave him and trade capital to get him, he could very well belong on the most disappointing Ravens... probably the one of the most expensive per game played.
  15. Just a friendly reminder that once the team reports for training camp - around the middle of next week - we'll have to unpin the threads at the top of the forum. It signifies the return of 'real football' and people will be returning to this particular forum to post fantasy football questions.
  16. That was a great one, then the only thing the Steelers fans could hold onto was that 'Flacco hasn't beaten Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh'... until that game rolled around, everyone remembers Torrey snagging that TD in the corner. Yeah, that was an epic battle. I'd have to agree. Other really good ones from a few years back: 2005 Ravens at Redskins 2006 Ravens vs Chargers 2006 Ravens vs Steelers domination 2007 Ravens vs Packers (MNF) 2008 Ravens at Cowboys
  17. One of the greatest ever in the NFL
  18. With the 810th pick, Berad's reclamation Ballers select Jon Ryan, P (and better QB than Russel Wilson)
  19. Berad's reclamation Ballers select Travis Coons, kicker
  20. Awesome, now we just need Comcast SportsNet to play more Ravens programming so I can get it in VA. Would be greatly preferable to Redskins-shill Larry Michael spin everything the Redskins do into the greatest sporting achievement of the decade.
  21. Yeah, you hear players talk about doing what is best for their family, which usually translates to money. Still, I think Tucker likes the Baltimore, he's seen around the city a lot. Glad we could strike a deal.
  22. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 21s22 seconds ago Numbers for the #Ravens and kicker Justin Tucker: 4 years,16.8M, source said. $10.8M fully guaranteed. $6M signing bonus. -------------- I think baby Easton can afford the finest baby foods, now
  23. Nice, this site just posted a top 5 list of his career so far and it made me realize where I stood on it Welcome back, JT!
  24. And will miss the opener against us
  25. Yeah, I'd put that above the SB kicks but the one to win in Denver - in that freezing cold, double OT, divisional-round game was epic as well
