  1. Wow, brightened my day for sure! It's almost here.
  2. I remember they were broadcasting when we traded for a player and they broke it live.
  3. I think that's pretty overstated, here's the section from Peter Kings column: http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/08/02/nfl-baltimore-ravens-joe-flacco-injured-teammates?xid=si_social Sounds like Trestman analyzed and implemented ways to speed up our offense. Not "new" but something they're focusing more on.
  4. Needs to be said: Harbs is good at a lot of things, this is not one of them. He doesn't like talking about it, he's obviously been burned by the Perriman saga and other instances.
  5. Probably, Harbs nailed him last Sunday for asking stupid questions
  6. This is just an aside but since I listen to TC pressers more than in-season ones: Jerry Coleman is a gigantic tool and a bad reporter (or whatever he is) - and that voice, too...
  7. Yeah but where would we spend that this year? For Brandon Williams and others looking for a long-term deal, this years salary cap isn't holding back the negotiations. We have enough in place now for that AND have the ability to sign some emergency players. I think Forsett is safe.
  8. Joe Flex has his swagger on a hundred thousand trillion - love it... Loved Billick stopping by camp, too, he's smart and also has his Billick swagger lol... This is excited, football can't come soon enough.
  9. It will be a numbers game. Good problem to have, assuming health *knock on wood
  10. Glad for West. Bouncing around the league for 'immaturity' issues was troubling and I'm happy he seems to have righted that ship.
  11. Yes, their market is saturated and small. They also give up their home games to go abroad and supplement their income (and viewership) that way. Weren't they also part of the Yahoo streaming? They seem to be the NFLs guinea pig. They may not be long for Jacksonville but I do think they have involved fans. They have a disproportionately large online fan presence compared to other, more popular franchises.
  12. I think the fans are decently supportive in Jacksonville they're just working with a saturated and small market. Maybe the league likes Florida for its tax regulations - the players surely do (no income tax). I don't know if the Jaguars can do it long-term... Another Texas team? Eh... if you were doing it geographically, the West is wide open. Of course, there is less population density but perhaps a team in Oklahoma City could make it. Texas (San Antonio) might be the best solution. Vegas would be crazy, the Bowl Cut son seems to like it there.
  13. We'll see what happens. It's something he's been connected to his whole career.
  14. Yes, they can refuse and it has happened before. Jim Kelly did NOT want to be drafted by the Bills but, when he was, they owned his rights. He spent some time in another, competing league (AFL?) before that folded and he went to the league. Bo Jackson was drafted by Bucs in 1986 but told them he wouldn't play for them. They forfeited his rights and he was drafted by the Raiders the year after. Of course, he was playing baseball during that time as well. So, TLDR, they'll own Bosa's rights and if they can't agree they'll most likely see a trade (like Elway with the Colts and Eli with the Chargers)
  15. 39 Alan Ricard days until kickoff He was Jamal Lewis' blocker for so many of his prime years. They were smash mouth and they didn't back down. They are still close, according to Jamal - LINK.
  16. Weren't you just posting that Correa getting into a scuffle showed 'isolated zeal' and something about not needing 'mad dogs'? When Tunsil does it against a 3rd-stringer, it shows his dominance? Glad he got 'some' first team reps...
  17. Even though you just pulled it out, it makes more sense than anything I could reason - thanks
  18. Why are we going away from the shield? That is a more symbolic and 'prominent representation' of the 'proud heritage' of Baltimore than literally just the word "Baltimore". Don't like it.
  19. We'll see if Onwuasor's aggression translates to big plays or penalties in the preseason. For now, he just seems like a UDFA LB doing everything he can to make the team - if we were on Hard Knocks he'd probably have a devoted storyline. The Ravens have refs at their practices but not NFL ones and they seemed to be most focused on PI/illegal contact fouls from what I could tell... although someone gave Forsett a pretty nasty facemask and ripped off his helmet - which led to yellow on the field. At TC yesterday, I saw the play where he was running down on kickoff pursuit and put one of the two wedge players on his butt. Aggressive? Yes, considering the guy was holding a big yellow pad and wasn't exactly going full tilt. Wrong? No, considering the player he knocked down was also a UDFA and should match that energy.
  20. Agree, health is the biggest thing holding him back
  21. I believe the team stores are open
  22. That's awesome lol
  23. He's the guy who's really calling the plays. That's why it's never Deans' fault when the defense has a bad game. Over John... idk who I'd want. Belichick is an effective option but comes with the baggage. Arians just seems cheesy and a little phony to me - Carroll, too - just my opinion and don't have anything over that to base it on. Tomlin would be decent, he's similar to Harbaugh although his team is less disciplined. Payton is weird. I'll be boring and say McCarthy. Maybe even Andy Reid with his time management issues. Belichick would be ideal if he was ever a decent person. Dan Pees ↓
  24. Yeah, Americans would have been cheesy. Similar to the "Patriots" although you can construe it for their revolutionary history, but many of the original colonies have that. Cheesy. The "Texans"? Psh. The "Railers" I guess were for the B&O railroad and the other tracks that ran in and around Baltimore. "Mustangs" is, of course, a call back to the equestrian traditions of the area - that would have made 3 NFL horse-related nicknames.
