  1. Wasn't Perriman in full pads yesterday and finish his full practice? I'm sure the coaches (and definitely he, himself) want to see what he can do.
  2. Samari Rolle or Duane Starks?
  3. I guess we know who the 'unnamed GM' was that began talking about Flacco but couldn't stop gushing about Jameis Winston...
  4. Happy birthday! Your birthday, in addition to being the Ravens preseason opener, also marks 30 Bernard Pierce days until kickoff Bernard was a 3rd round pick out of Temple who showed great promise his rookie season (another rookie RB who helped us to a Super Bowl) but injuries and off-the-field trouble eventually derailed his Ravens career. He's now on the New York Jets. And, yes, that is him hurdling Eric Weddle in the 4th&29 game.
  5. 31 Jamal Lewis days until kickoff Another 'under a rock' Ravens player. Jamal was a ferocious, rumbling monster out of Tennessee. He helped us win the Super Bowl his rookie season and rushed for 2,066 yds and an offensive player of the year award in 2003. Injuries took their toll on him later, his playing style was so savage. Another bonus: 1 Randall Cunningham day until the Ravens open the preseason against the Panthers Randall was only here a short time in 2001 and had a previous connection with Brian Billick. He performed pretty well, judging by his stats and won the two games he started. Maybe someone who watched him could fill us in?
  6. First, I'll start by saying I haven't purchased a new Madden since Madden 10 (which I liked) and I have an XBOX 360. My question is, if I want to play Franchise Mode (or something similar) what would be the best Madden to buy post-10 that would also leave Raven players with decent ratings? Madden 12 was for the 2011 season which I figured would give some of our guys decent ratings after a strong playoff run - it also still has the 'classic franchise mode', Madden 13 was 2012 and has our SB team so that would probably give the best ratings but lo-and-behold Madden totally changed their franchise mode into some strange mutation. Reading reviews, people were not thrilled and there was no fantasy draft which I enjoy. Haven't researched enough into Madden 25 to see if that franchise mode is better because it followed the 2013 season when we sucked - figured rankings would be horrid. Madden 15 got good reviews overall, franchise mode had some of it's features restored, and we were good again. However, I'm sticking with the 'old gen' XBOX 360 and I read the new, good gameplay features only show up on next gen. Was wondering if some of you gamers and/or Madden historians could help me come to a conclusion? What were your favorite recent Maddens?
  7. KLM was a decent talent at Notre Dame but hurt himself in the championship game. Since then, he's been banged up and inconsistent. Someone with a similar story was Art Jones who needed a couple years to get up to his potential then gave us some solid production. Maybe KLM follows the same path? Maybe.
  8. I think you jumped in the wrong thread, Mom Gene! LOL
  9. Pretty sure Timmy sat a good chunk of that game and the next one, not positive though. His foul did cost us.
  10. Yeah, he must have passed the protocol - assuming he went through it
  11. 32 Eric Weddle days until kickoff Unless you've been living under a rock this offseason, you probably already know a good amount about our latest #32
  12. No quite what you wanted, bio, but Garrett posted today that he and Mink are starting a Ravens podcast
  13. It's going from offseason crazy - when there's too much time to diagnosis and conspire - to regular season crazy when we'll have an influx of people and more overreaction. You're no where close to the Zika stuff, right? That's near Miami?
  14. Undoubtedly more exciting than the coin toss. Most of the time they skip that on the broadcast. The concept of competing for the right to decide kick/receive is more interesting than a random coin toss but in this case the injury chances might scare the league away - imagine a player blows out their knee. Plus, how do you officiate what's legal? The XFL was going for cheap thrills, might as well have oiled up a pig and set it loose. Maybe a game of "HORSE" with the kickers, doing trick shots? Whichever team owner's shirt has the higher thread count? Whichever QB can throw furthest with their non-dominant hand? Hotdog eating contest with the NTs? The NFL is not hurting for viewers but, really, the coin toss is a weaker 'entertainment' point. Dignified and a classic tradition? Yes. Need-to-be-in-your-seat action? No.
  15. KC had a tremendous OL and he was a machine - a few awesome years in a row. He was an FF juggernaut before it was really popular. He was rivaling Tomlinson in the early 2000s
  16. No McClain4RB?? Holmes is a cool 'oh he was a Raven?' player, Jamal of course wrestled his job away
  17. Good ST player, he was the lead blocker for a lot of huge Jacoby returns
  18. Shhh! How's Florida?
  19. LOL Colquitt is saltttttay! Localized flooding in Denver after those tears were shed. Justin must've kicked his puppy or stolen his girl...
  20. I think the Browns are dangling him as trade bait but I'd bet Ozzie would scoop him up if he were an FA - especially with the Trestman connection.
  21. I've heard he's up and down, just like his normal play. He'll make boneheaded mistakes or throw errant passes but then throw some beauties. He's got arm talent for sure. Bolleresque you could say.
  22. We've skipped a few days but it's now 36 BJ Sams days until kickoff BJ was a productive returner for us through the mid-2000s. His 2004 rookie season kickoff return yardage of 1251 yards is still at team record. I'm on record as saying his injury in late 2006 kept us from having a better shot at the championship that season... another player on this list - Cory Ross- performed admirably in replacement but Sams could have given us something extra, especially in the Colts game where there were 8 kick/punt returns. Also, as a bonus - it is 6 Michael Campanaro days until the Ravens preseason kicks off against the Panthers His preseason number counts because this is leading to our preseason opener.
  23. The first game is always just a feast of the senses for me... the return of football!
  24. From the article: Meanwhile, Tunsil got 'some' first team snaps and had a slap fight with a 3rd string guy
