  1. I was very impressed outside of that one long drive Buffalo put together. But, again, as people said, they did great week 1 last year as well before a historically bad season. I'm very hopeful and they looked great yesterday.
  2. Miller looked more like he was going for the ball but Marshall and Stewart will be getting fines for sure. Marshall's definitely was launching although you could make the case Cam was running towards the LOS and negating his QB protections.
  3. Ed's said he has 2-3 years left since like 2008 lol Ed being Ed, he's a funny dude
  4. Ron Rivera coached a really, really poor game and it looked like his team was under-prepared. From Newton burning three timeouts in the first 18 minutes, the Sanders TO/Challenge fiasco where is his defense was visibly incensed that they had to call and timeout on what should have been an obvious challenge call, and general sloppy play.
  5. I would consider Yanda, Weddle, and Williams solidly top 5-8 players in the league. If Suggs rebounds he's a top 5-8 edge defender and if Mosley continues to progress he will be a top 5-8 middle linebacker. Flacco is right on that cusp as well. Not sure how many guys Denver had in that category last season...
  6. So Dean is misusing the players? He can be the best pastry chef in the world but that doesn't matter much if he can't cook the burger you want.
  7. Still lives in MD, looks like he heads up some charities - https://www.linkedin.com/in/matt-stover-3a817470
  8. Like most felines, yes
  9. Preston's assumption Pees will be fine is very shaky, too, especially since the defense looked very familiar in the preseason. He even went from the box to the sideline so you know he is feeling he has to make adjustments.
  10. Beat Brady a couple times... for the whole league lol
  11. You might not - practice was closed to the media today. Harbs might be tight-lipped, too. You may not know until tomorrow.
  12. Yeah, that also touches the fact that the team who's practice squad you're on has the opportunity to promote you to their roster before any other teams. We were also rumored to have done that with West last year.
  13. Yeah that bugs me about him, it always gets a big gasp and has mostly worked but I'm just waiting for when it goes really wrong
  14. Okay, that was my question. I've never seen it happen. Closest to that was when Terrance West was a FA (after being cut by the Titans), he had the option to go on KCs roster or the Ravens practice squad but he said he wanted to 'get right' and go to Baltimore for that opportunity. Not the same scenario, as he was not on anyone's practice squad at that point - but close. He obviously eventually got called up to the active roster and all that.
  15. I had never gotten a really good answer on that. So if the Ravens wanted to bring him up, it's not like a "claim" or a draft pick where you own that player's rights? It's just like a free agent with the stipulation that they are on the roster for at least 3 weeks? Butler could decline and continue making less and being on TBs practice squad if he was so inclined?
  16. Or you could record it, then bring earplugs and blinders to your daughter's game, only focusing on soccer... Come back and tune in for the 4:00PM broadcast recording LOL
  17. Not super pleased to have none of our young options - Campanaro, Reynolds - be effective options and basically be forced into signing an aging vet. But, hey, we probably don't have to hold our breath as to if he actually will catch the ball. If I was to guess, Hester might not add anything as a WR the way Campanaro would have... I guess this move is more of a referendum on Campanro's health and career
  18. I always participate in Purple Fridays, wearing my Ravens polo to work. Then, on gameday, it's usually the same Ravens jersey all year coupled with a salty snack (Cheezits) to stress-eat lol.
  19. I'm not confident OR nervous. There are some many different variables than even last year and we've only see the team for maybe ~1/3 of a game versus Detroit. How can you know what to expect? I know I'm excited, though.
  20. That was an excellent read, worth the time if you have it
  21. I think Bulger was also the first established, productive veteran QBs we had as a backup during the Flacco years. Other than Troy 'crawl to Cleveland' Smith. I think Joe gleaned a lot from him and they had a close relationship.
  22. I just don't think CJ's emotions consistently guide the team - I can't consider him an emotional leader. He's a leader in many other ways but he is low key and level-headed like Joe. When he speaks, it carries weight - he knows how to use that, too. I don't remember the anecdote but Mosley has become a pillar to build our defense around, that's why the coaches felt okay cutting Smith.
  23. Browner also claimed that he would "put his hands around [Jim Harbaugh's] neck" when a reporter relayed a Harbaugh quote about the importance of staying within the rules of the NFL in terms of PEDs - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000212441/article/brandon-browner-threatens-49ers-coach-jim-harbaugh Yeah, Browner sucks.
  24. He'll get a lot of time this upcoming game. So far, he looks like a practice squad guy, though. He may be safe there, too.
  25. That's pretty cool, what became of the tee? Shuffled away by an equipment manager?
