  1. McDaniels' punter called him "a little punk". His punter! He traded us a boatload of picks to move up for Tebow. He has terrible rapport with players (they don't want to play for him) and his teams lack mental toughness. Check out any Youtube video on him, it's embarassing. Harbaugh's seat is warming but it would be a gigantic step backwards to choose Josh McDaniels. Ask any Broncos fan or media member.
  2. Looked like an intention and unnatural act...
  3. Kevin, this was a great, heartfelt, insightful article. Loved the Starks anecdote, even champions can be vulnerable and falter. Thank you for keeping us in the loop and humbled enough to see the bigger picture.
  4. In most cases, I didn't agree with the decisions to go for it. Against the Redskins was particularly bad. This past one, though, on the one yard line... I agreed and was disappointed we couldn't make it.
  5. That's the worst feeling I can imagine
  6. Please add your own content/commentary to this post, it's an orphan link
  7. I know it's Wikipedia but they did a good job aggregating some points and quotes in his favor for HOF consideration - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Coryell#Hall_of_Fame_consideration On further consideration, I'd probably leave Taylor off, you're right.
  8. Now that's a different argument. You don't have to be subjectively 'elite' to get paid huge money. The name belongs there in terms of this video and some NFL records but, yes, Joe Flacco is not a legendary NFL QB like those two
  9. We're not making it for the next 3 years, either. Hey, which stocks should we invest in? "At the time the highest paid ever"... since that time? Point to guys like Ryan, Dalton, Tannehill, Kaepernick, Cutler, etc and that's proof positive of Flacco being worth it. That's market value, that's what you pay. At least our QB (and, more importantly, team) has something to show for it and something to build upon.
  10. Josh McDaniels traded up and drafted Tebow in the 1st round. His players turned on him and his team tanked, even his punter calling him a "little punk" in the media. Harbaugh could go for it on every 4th down from now until 2020 and still be a superior coach.
  11. The explanations generally stay the same - the goal posts just keep getting moved... - Can't beat the Steelers - Can't beat Roethlisberger - Isn't a leader - Can't win the big one - QBs aren't responsible for wins - Doesn't have fantasy stats Have you been dissatisfied with the teams' performance over the past "almost a decade"? What are people supposed to be "excusing"?
  12. When quoting outside sources, please include some of your own thoughts. Don't want to tread into murky copyright issues with "Jimmie Kaylor" or this "cheatsheet" website.
  13. The commonality between Cameron and Trestman being fired is baffling play calling, misuse of talent, and mounting frustration from players. I've also seen suggestions that Bisciotti actually fired Trestman over Harbaugh's head - haven't we gotten over those lies the first time around? This is some lazy, Mike Preston-level filler nonsense.
  14. Wow, scary stuff. Wish him the best!
  15. The concerns obviously are accurate but, on the other hand, we've seen him make some hard catches. He can do it. He can work through the frustrating drops, players have in the past, but it's undoubtedly a concern right now.
  16. Not really but he would give us something AND he could be a returner for us, allowing us to move on from Hester. He will probably get hurt again, sure, but he'll have 'potential' for those couple of weeks lol
  17. Why would he be so effusive if he did not believe it? Gary said he would only leave Baltimore for 1 job and it just so happened he was offered it. About a year later, he's hoisting a Lombardi trophy. Hard not to feel good for Gary!
  18. We've only 'fired' two offensive coordinators in the past 8 years. Two moved up to HC jobs, on the shoulder of the supposed 'problem' http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Is-Joe-Flacco-Elite-Gary-Kubiaks-Awesome-Answer/6de274e6-b58d-4ec7-ac7e-acb0fed583d4
  19. I know it's not the topic of the day but when is Campanaro eligible to be re-signed?
  20. ST coverage was bad, obviously, and Hester had a very poor game. His only contribution to this team is on his returns and he cost us yardage on too many of them, especially the partially-blocked kick that he watched bounce for another 25-30 yards in the 4th quarter
  21. So what difference does that make if the people in charge are giving Flacco extensions and praising him? Maybe when Flacco's gone some posters will be here moaning about how we need a QB like Flacco and saying 'remember when we had Joe?' NFL QBs are a shot in the dark, our organization is glad we have a legitimate one.
  22. Flacco has been beastly in avoiding sacks and throwing it up to save those stats. The OL has been a weak point but I think it's less about Castillo and more about the health and talent around it. The line was in total disarray yesterday.
  23. Their doom was sealed once they hired Gregg Rosenthal from PFT as head editor (or some capacity). He has ushered in fools like Dave Dameshek, Dan Hanzus, Adam Rank, Elliott Harrison, and some others. If those names don't wrinkle your nose, you made the smart decision and stopped watching/reading these guys.
  24. Touchback rule is fine, the only issue with that play was that Mosley lost the ball. ST coverage is an issue, Hester needs to figure out how to field a ball if that's all he's going to offer to the team - he cost us.
  25. That site has gone downhill... more like off of a cliff I used to actually LEARN things there - around 8-10 years ago. Now, it's basically a bunch of entertainment reporters struggling to string together a football story.
