  1. I think it might be wise to hear what the NFL has discovered before we start discussing punishment. I definitely hope that the referees also took the Colts balls and tested their pressure as well.
  2. I highly doubt there will be anything to prove that Brady knew about it - but lets be serious. There's no way he didn't know the balls were under inflated. If a linebacker can tell, then there's no way the QB throwing the ball doesn't know. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats get off the hook on this unfortunately. I have a feeling it might come down to the refs not doing their job properly.
  3. Perhaps the Pats should just start inflating their balls with helium...they'll meet the 12.5 PSI criteria no problem. We'll just ignore about the weight portion...
  4. Patriots fans are talking about how perhaps their team used hot air to inflate the balls prior to being given to the referees for inspection. According to their math, balls inflated to 13 PSI with 112 degree air would then drop to about 11 PSI at the game time temperature. Pats fans are literally using that as an excuse to say how they didn't break the rules. LOLWUT. This is how low they go. They think that its acceptable to inflate their balls with hot air in order to hide the fact that their balls are going to be under inflated from the refs.
  5. Even if the Pats win the Super Bowl, they've tainted their brand for years once again. Finally they had a chance to win a Super Bowl post-Spygate, and they've gone and gotten themselves into even more trouble. Its hilarious. The NFL can do whatever they want, I don't care. If these reports are true this is good enough for me.
  6. Ray Lewis stuff ya mean?
  7. This is turning into something better than I ever could have imagined. According to a source, the league is "disappointed...angry...distraught" over this situation that the Patriots have placed them in.
  8. Sounds like the Patriots may have purposefully deflated our kicking balls as well? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/24981269/some-baltimore-ravens-think-footballs-were-under-inflated-vs-patriots
  9. This is the last page of their ongoing thread: http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/threads/deflate-gate-here-we-go-again.1115247/page-95 Talk about the 11/12 balls being under inflated by 2lbs each starts on page 89. There's a dramatic turn from "why does everyone think we're cheaters" to "why are we always trying to cheat".
  10. Even the Patriots fans on their forum have thrown in the towel and admitted that something fishy happened. I LOVE IT!
  11. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that isn't a coincidence.
  12. Hello Patriots fan. If you care to read this thread, most of us have already stated that the deflation of balls did not really impact the game. The issue here is the principle. Whether or not deflating the balls decided the ballgame is a nonissue here, because the game was not even close. But if ANYONE on the Patriots team knew that the balls were deflated, or if they were deflated on purpose, and no one was notified, then you guys cheated. Period. End of story. I would never go as far as saying that you should forfeit the game, because that is ludicrous. But if you guys played with deflated balls and didn't notify anyone, then you should absolutely be punished for that. I stated earlier in this thread - if a Colts linebacker was able to tell that the ball was deflated when he intercepted Brady, how on earth did Brady not know this? As soon as he handled the ball for the first time he would know that it wasn't properly inflated. Did he tell anyone? If yes, then who did he tell? Did Belichick know about it during the game? If Brady knew about it and it wasn't planned, you have to believe that Belichick would be informed about this. If Brady did not tell anyone, why did he not tell anyone? Because it was easier for him to throw the ball? Wouldn't that also be considered cheating?
  13. Yeah - I don't think anyone is arguing that manipulation of the ball pressure changed the outcome of the game. The Colts lost fair and square. The question is whether or not someone on the Patriots team knowingly deflated the balls in order to give the Patriots a slight advantage. Right now this comes down to two possibilities in my mind: if a Colts linebacker was able to tell that the ball was deflated, then Tom Brady must have known this as well. There's no way one of the best QBs to ever play the game does not tell the difference in ball pressure when a linebacker can tell the difference. So either there were multiple people on the Patriots staff that knew about the balls, including Tom Brady, and that it was done on purpose. Or that it was accidental, and Tom Brady still knew that the ball pressure was off. Either way, I do not see how Belichick wasn't told about it during the game.
  14. A Colts linebacker who intercepted Brady was the one to alert the Colts about the deflated balls: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2015/01/report_patriots_may_have_deflated_footballs_for_af.html My question right now is if a linebacker can tell that a ball is deflated, why was Tom Brady not "aware" and why didn't he alert someone? A QB would instantly feel that a ball was deflated...why did he not do anything about it? How can Belichick say that he was first made aware of the situation on Monday morning? You'd think that would be something Brady would mention to him if the situation truly were accidental.
  15. Hmm, didn't even realize that. I have accounts on almost every team's forum
  16. To say that 49ers fans are displeased with their new HC would be an understatement... http://forums.49ers.com/showthread.php?158785-Official-Jim-Tomsula-named-Head-Coach
  17. Suh suspended one game for stepping on Aaron Rodgers: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000451443/article/nfl-suspends-ndamukong-suh-for-one-game
  18. Interesting wording lmao. Everything hurts in our secondary right now Lets hope Melvin can prove himself in these next couple of games. Looks like from today that he's earned his spot on the field. Definitely gotta work on his contact with receivers, there were a couple of times during the game where he got away with stuff that could very easily have been called PI. But boy was he flashing across the field, every possession once he came on the field he made a good play. Thats exactly what we need.
  19. Yanda is constantly downfield pushing the runner forward when they get blocked. Don't think this is really anything to complain about - if they don't flag us for it then we can't expect them to flag others.
  20. Evidently Green was only on the practice field for 15 minutes before his re-injury: http://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2014/10/08/bengals-likely-without-green-jones/16947857/
  21. There goes his chances at appealing his year long suspension. What a waste.
  22. Another one bites the dust.
  23. The amount of negativity in this thread is ridiculous. Mosley is a beast, not to mention he is a natural born leader and incredibly smart. Give him a few years and he'll be the leader of our defense.
  24. Signing Haloti to an extension would be a horrendous decision in the first place. If our FO suggested that, then shame on them. Why on earth would you take a player that isn't living up to his contract, who has had injury issues, and who has talked about retirement and give him an extension? Pave the way to Pittsburgh, because if we're going to do that, we're on the road to cap hell.
