  1. i don't see tucker staying unless he gets franchise tagged. I see denver or indy in his future maybe even a ny team so he can do some singing cameos on broadway.
  2. i should have become a punter. Figure on average it's about 8-10 plays a game for a punter to play. I know it's difficult to stand on the sideline in the cold for 3-4 hours but life is tough.
  3. heard though the grapevine that the Browns want to sign Llyod
  4. Man, I am pulling for this guy. I like to think he'll fly under the media's radar and make the plays. Last year was kinda of a learning year as he lost out on playing time to more notable receivers. Hopefully, he used that as motivation to sneak in. The problem is how many guys are the Ravens going to keep at that position. Hearts will be broken. I just hope the talent level will not suffer.
  5. elam, it's all or nothing. i wish you well
  6. the whole elite conversation about Flacco is tiring. can we just move on.
  7. how do you not like this guy? much respect.
  8. 32 teams in the nfl and i would suspect that this kind of relation is maybe four or five. but i have to ask if this "family" would be as happy if the Ravens have not made the playoffs 6 of the last 7 years...
  9. someone get him a puppy
  10. final cuts will be tough
  11. i have no problem with cleveland winning winning a championship in basketball. they could become a dynasty greater than the celtics or lakers of the '80's and i wouldn't care. as far football or baseball, cleveland can continue with their current tradition of losing. after all the indians do make the orioles look great at times. and, the browns make the raiders look like potential super bowl contenders with their front office player assessments. until cleveland starts getting "football" people in the front office, the browns will be nothing more than a semi-pro team masquerading as a pro-team
  12. love the mentality of this years offense. they seem to understand that the ultimate goal is achieved with team and not individual numbers. hope it continues to be contagious and infects the ravens defensive secondary. if so, vegas will lose tons of money with their 9 win prediction. maybe the road to san francisco will go through baltimore.
  13. oscar came to get his trash cans; but, with one look left screaming "oh, hell no!"
  14. sounds like someone has to make some tough calls this season in regards to receivers... don't envy making those decisions.
  15. always remember those that carried you. forget those that dropped you. the ones that love ask for nothing; the ones that use ask for everything.
  16. Yes, that is true. But flacco had cam as an oc. Who was called "low risk" game. That meant joe was playing handcuffed at times. So using cam as the crutch; I'll call that a push on number of games. Factor that and the weapons Ryan had/has. The number of td's, yardage and even playoff appearances, theoretically, should be greater in of favor Ryan. And really you can toss out the td's and yardage because the only record that counts is the win/lose. Since a qb's primary function is to manage the game to victory. Anything else is cake decoration.
  17. Is it thAt tough to write about football that someone has to make rankings about rosters. Ge'ez. Next week someone might write about how the nfl should mandate the color of each teams Gatorade. Or, best dress sideline coach. I mean, really, if going tabloid go freaking tabloid.
  18. Ryan or Joe? I was surprised when Joe was picked. I think he would have been a second rounder if the Ravens didn't pick him. I don't know of another team that was interested in him. So Ryan being picked ahead no big deal. Fast forward to the present. Ryan has everything Joe has and even more mobility. What Ryan doesn't have is the switch that Joe has. The switch that turns Joe from mundane to superstar. The will not to give up. However, it is strange how these two players are eerily similar with regards to regular season numbers. With Ryan have a passing minded team and Joe having a run first team, one would think the numbers would be more dramatic in difference. Besides, why not Joe? I take Joe over Ryan just for the magic.
  19. Funniest thing I heard all day is welker possibly coming to Baltimore.
  20. the only reason there are rankings is to have something for espn and nfl network to talk about. that is, when they are not taking about jerry jones and the cowboys, peyton manning or tom brady.
  21. i can see it going to be hard for the coach to get down and make the final cut. even deciding the the practice squad seem like it will be tough.
  22. peter king picking the ravens anytime of the year is shocking.
  23. gotta be honest, i didn't think senior would be anything but a arrogant tool when i heard he was coming to baltimore. i was wrong. dead wrong. the man is the ultimate team player. his mentality fits the ravens profile and a shame that he didn't arrive earlier in his career. with that said, today's world is not like it was ten years ago. players are able to play longer if they maintain a healthy lifestyle with the correct mentality . players today have access to information to maintain their bodies. it's up to the individual with correct attitude to have longevity. the body breaks down but with proper care and fuel it can last as long as a freak injury does not accrue. smith has it, shown it and hopeful he gets a ring with the ravens.
  24. can we grow up a stop talking about the status of joe flacco? the only people that worry about him are the ones across the field. the only ones that are concerned about joe's eliteness would be those tv talking heads that need to fill three minutes. or, a writer that has nothing with the deadline approaching. ravens' fans don't care. they know. they know joe's troubles and potential. the man was drafted seven years ago, won a super bowl three years ago, and has made the playoffs every year except for one. don't forget three trips to the afc championship on the road. not to mention that he has not missed a game. instead of elite, how about nonpareil for representing baltimore that has received respect from the nfl or the media.
