  1. optimist says ravens. realist says pitt. the ravens can't fix their shortcomings in three days.
  2. maybe sit senior in practice to force flacco to gel with the other recievers. just an idea.
  3. two things: 1) kraft is a pampered priss that can make smug remarks when he is not face to face. 2) at this point in time the ravens young bloods need to get quit playing soft and start putting in work. there is a cancer in that locker room that needs to be removed. it may be a coach, player or ,the most dangerous thing, perception of entitlement. harbaugh needs to regain the reins and straighten this team out. too many dumb penalties. too many missed tackles. receivers not getting separation. no run game. i am starting to wonder if the ravens stayed in california and sent the raiders back
  4. where was gillmore?
  5. maybe the ravens should hire a rugby coach to teach how to tackle. watching the replay there is no sense to finish. it has become players standing around as the other team runs by. what happen to the swarm mentality that has made the ravens defense legendary in the pass? the answer is difficult to achieve with a rotating coaching staff, i guess.
  6. heads must roll!!!
  7. how about stopping them before the fifty instead of letting them make big plays
  8. the last road trip seem like it was a vacation rather than useful. waste of time. then the ravens might do it again..... why? with time difference it would be a 4:00 o'clock game. let the get up at 6:00 am instead of 9:00. quit trying to be like the white collar teams in the league and be the tough gritty blue collar team that made the ravens great. this prissy attitude is sickening.
  9. every time i see the ravens play the prevent the ravens seem to lose. just ask new england. i am a ravens fan for the defense and flacco as qb is a bonus. but, the lack of aggressiveness late in the game was made me seat on the edge of the seat too many times to be healthy. i can never say "it's over" knowing that the prevent is coming. the ravens give too much whether it is in yardage gained by the other team or yardage given through dumb penalties.
  10. Donald's opinion means nothing.
  11. i been saying the weak secondary will hurt the ravens. i really hope for a miracle cure.
  12. i am hoping for the best; but the gut tells me, perriman is a bust. ravens need to find receivers with speed and can break away.
  13. could have done better
  14. the defense wasn't as good and neither is manning. manning did more for the ravens defense that defense did for themselves. manning threw more errored throws than the ravens defended. the finger problems of manning seem to be evident. his career is done. it is just a matter of when the fork will be stuck. if it wasn't for manning inabilities we would be talking about the lack of skilled corners the ravens have instead of how the game actually ended. watch the replay if you disagree. another thing was the play calling was horrible for the offense. professional football players, making millions, and you can't make quicker plays. play development was like watching molasses. take a minute and think about brady. he isn't that good naturally. belichick made him. old bill realized that defenses were fast and good tackles were rare. so he made drills to get the ball out is the shortest time possible. trestman needs to elaborate on this. flacco can do it but the players around him need to step up. "well, the receivers aren't that good" well make them. there is no excuse for the offense to play this poorly. you adjust, next man up...adapt. i put this lost on the coaches. they had no answer. the play calling look like they were scared. is trestman like kubiak or cameron? i couldn't handle another season of cameron. pridicality makes for a long season.
  15. senior should have caught it... yes. gilmore should have caught it...yes. my question is, where was the answer to the denver's defence? it seemed the ravens o played cautious. played scared. the ravens stuck to a script that proved to suck. where were the quick outs? where were the screens? no, the ravens tried to jam the ball up a collapsing middle. don't give me the pressure on flacco bull. the slow development of the play was what got the ravens killed. it wasn't until late in the third when they seem to pick tempo up to counter the denver's pass rush.
  16. maybe senior can play some ironman this year. both wide out and corner.
  17. i didn't understand the ejection at all. there were other players though that would have meet the definition of being tossed.
  18. i am praying for a tie.
  19. when did the patriots become afc north rival? i thought they were in the afc east
  20. if espn putting flacco at 87 in their top 100 is insulting then the nfl players' poll, that has him at 97, must be a slug in the gut.
  21. i have always wondered if modell nevered fired belichick, would baltimore endear him as much as he hated now? people often overlooked that he was the coach before the drama.
  22. "don't be surprised if ozzie makes a move." seriously! i would be surprised if ozzie DIDN'T make a move. the young blood coming in can't tackle, look lost and seem to get to need a map to run a route. at the beginning of camp the paper version of the team look like the ravens could run away with it this year. after watching these preseason games the hunger was not their. i was hoping for brown to become a top notch receiver, as he has shown sparks of the possibility. i was hoping for a defensive secondary. still waiting... injuries have saved some players for another year like elam, urban, pitta and webb. before you throw me under the nest droppings, think about it. heart strings keep pitta and webb. money invested keeps elam. urban is the only true unknown. at some time, mistakes have to be acknowledged.
  23. Where was the tackling? Ravens might need to reevaluate the coaching of the cornerbacks
  24. All these injuries are cuasing worry.
  25. i hope perriman won;t be a bust like i an suspecting. also for those that are still crying about the torrie smith leaving. ravens offered him a contract, i believe, that was five million less over the five years. which only proves that smith wanted to leave. why is that? if you figure california taxes, cost of living, family travel and lost possible playoff bonuses, torrie would have made more money, after all was said, in done in baltimore. some time the figure doesn't out weigh the expenses.
