The Steelers offense was looking good at the end of the season, so this is interesting.

whoever the OC is, he should have free reigns find HIS personnel. Whatever way to be a successful OC.

If Castillo interferes w/ his regime, he should be allowed to find a new lineman coach.

I don't like Hostler for OC but to be fair, what has the FO given him in terms of receivers? None in the first round, and only Torrey in the first two. The rest have been projects.

when I heard the we interviewed Shannahan I was like yes we are looking for a good OC, then the unsubstantiated rumor that Kubiak had been seen at jimmy's . I was even more sure finally we would get a creative mind and a better playbook , then I logged on and saw that interview today and heard him say :"John thinks we have a potential candidate in house already" I knew. Just curious how long before they announce it.

The fact that they've already interviewed Shanahan shows how quiet they're keeping news on this thing.

Less concerned by the prospect of Hostler than I was before. I think if we were gonna promote from within, we would've already announced it (Pagano and Pees were both promoted within a day).

ESPN said that Rhett Lashlee, OC, Auburn, may be an out-of0the-box type signing for Balty. He is only 30 and has worked under Malzahn for several years now

Mike Preston is a credible source now? Just today he claimed that Flacco needed to be more like Manning and do a better job at drawing defenses offsides. He forgot to mention the part where the Ravens lead the league in neutral zone infractions committed by opponents. And that's just one example from TODAY.

I don't think it'll be bad if we get another trustworthy guy. He didn't have to lock onto Pitta last year because he also had Boldin.

Ravens need to draft TE 1st round, WR 2nd round this spring. The Flacco-Pitta relationship is a detriment to the team. It only works if they both excel and the only way for Pitta to excel is for Joe to target/favor him & other teams know this. Also, with the Smith brothers (Jimmy/Torrey) due new contracts next year we need to draft some skill players this year cuz I can see us strapped to meet their demands.

Agreed. Flacco was locking onto Pitta at the end of the year.

For what it's worth, Hue apparently had a close relationship with both Flacco and Rice when he was here - both of them really liked him.

No to Kubiak because his offense is all based on the run game. Once the run game is gone, then it's downhill from there.

Kyle Shanahan is someone I would look into since he knows the ZBS, but he's also bringing in the WCO, which is not part of Flacco's strength.

Hue Jackson... Ravens need to pull the trigger on this guy since he can work magic on the team like he did with the Bengals Running Game.

I agree with all of this but iirc Hue Jackson and John Harbaugh don't have a great relationship.

Seriously? We all want success, that's being a fan. But when criticizing the guy you have to know the whole story. It isn't all on Caldwell. If we can get the right personnel or if he can adapt his playbook to what we end up having then I predict this offense will get back on track.

You would think, but some people definitely take joy in the failures.

I think Caldwell is in over his head as an OC. That's just what I think.
