Doug Marrone opted out of his contract. Didn't expect that at all
Geez.
Suspend him until the investigation concludes and move on. Can't wait for 2015. We're going to be under a microscope for a long time because of the Rice incident.
Suh is a special kind of idiot.
This sort of pops up every year.. is it actually real>?
Still not real. Stretcher was precautionary it looks like.
Hopefully you're correct because that would really be horrible for him but all reports are now saying it's confirmed.
@SteveCrumpWBTV: CMPD source says no injuries to Cam Newton. He did not want to be transported. Taken to hospital as a precaution.
Cam Newton in car accident.

both legs broken.
The legs broken part isn't confirmed, but he did have to be loaded on a stretcher so it looks quite serious. Thoughts out to him, heard the other guy involved ran a red light.
FSU is resilient. Gotta give that team credit. Resiliency is a huge asset to have.
I'm gonna give the credit to Jernigan's halftime speech. ![]()
Ramsey, again.
Jernigan and Brooks are both at the FSU game. They showed Jernigan on the sideline in Orioles gear. Apparently he gave an impassioned speech to FSU at halftime.
With all due respect...I have no idea what you just said.Heck they don't know! This whole social issue is going wild and nobody cares. Front runner are easy to find, me we should all be ashamed! I am but I will not shut up! This has to stop our ISIS wins What did Baltimore just celebrate?
What's happening with the Vikes right now is exactly why the Ravens had no choice but to release Rice.
If the NFLPA is worth anything they will appeal Rice's suspension.
Not because I'm a Rice apologist (hardly), but because this Adrian Peterson situation is about to reveal a massive double standard.
That money would be better used to donate to causes for women.Apparently a Woman's advocacy group is going to fly banners over 4 stadiums tomorrow and Monday Night reading "Goodell Must Go" after the Rice situation. This group was calling for Goodell to resign after the elevator video emerged. These planes will fly over NY/NJ(Cardinals-Giants), Cleveland(Saints-Browns), San Fran(Bears-49ers) and Indianapolis(Eagles-Colts).
People are now just using this situation to promote themselves.
Didn't think much of AP hitting his kid with a switch (if that alone is a crime then lock both of my parents up) until I saw the pictures. Too far.
The NFL's week from hell isn't quite over yet.
Would a new drug policy affect Will Hill?
Absolutely brilliant. Thought ray deserved 6 at the time as a minimum.
Good move rodge
For all the criticism Goodell gets the NFL is the only league with such a policy.
They'll have to iron out what actually constitutes domestic violence, and will likely have to tackle whether or not things like rape and sexual assault fall under the same umbrella but this is a good starting point.
The Ray Rice Rule...that's what it's gonna be called colloquially.
Looks like David Wilson's career is over. Very sad story.

Why are you scratching your head? I think he's a really solid fit for what we are looking for in this offense. I think everyone got lost in the fact of grabbing a big play TE type, but of you look at the current system that's not really needed. If we are going to run this WCO/ZBS type offense then we need to commit to it. We already have two move TEs, we needed a inline TE and Gilmore seems to be that. I agree with your post overall. Just wanted to know what it is about the Gilmore pick that has you puzzled
It's not really about his ability, I was literally scratching my head saying "who is that?"
He'' probably be a big body like gronk that can pummel his way through defenses, he is certainly an upgrade imo over pitta and dickson, but to a lesser extent pitta.
Gillmore an upgrade over Pitta?
Let's not get carried away now.
Cheers mate. I took the screenshot a year ago (a year and two weeks ago actually
) just because I thought it was funny to laugh at the upset Jets fans. It just seems so relevant now. Might have to keep it on.
That whole situation actually reminds me of two or three players we have this year. I'm upset about not grabbing a WR, but I think we took the best players on the board with what he had in mind. And the more I think about it, the more content I am with the guys we have. The only real pressing need for day one was a FS, and I think we made the best-value pick of anyone in the draft. Every other need was more of a futures thing (including WR).
BloodRaven had a quality post in the Draft Thread too: http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/topic/58443-2014-nfl-draft-thread/?p=1849199
BPA is the way to build great teams. Reach for need and you end up with the Gino Gradkowskis. Can't draft offense just for the sake of offense.
My friend from FSU has really sold me on Jernigan. Still not sure about Gillmore but I'll watch some tape and give him a shot. That's the one pick that really has me scratching my head.
Here's a picture I took during the draft last year. You can tell what the NYJ fans think of the pick.
Who was the pick they were so pissed off at? Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri. Last season's DROY, and I doubt you'll find a Jets fan out there who hates the pick now. Turns out their FO knew better.
I've seen enough of Gilmore that I'm content to give him the benefit of the doubt. Seems like a Kubiak pick, and if the Jets FO knew what they were doing there's no reason the Ravens FO can't turn out to be right here as well.
So Crockett, if you're reading this for some reason, welcome to Baltimore.
lol this is a great post. I remember a LOT of fans and "experts" hating the Richardson pick because it didn't fill a need. Sound familiar?
One of my friends is a FSU alum and he keeps raving about how great of a pick Jernigan is (he's not a Ravens fan btw, he's a Dolphins fan). He's made me feel better about it.
I love football but these NBA Playoffs are putting other sports to shame right now. Incredible.
