I want to be the first to apologize to John Harbaugh. Nobody saw this coming. One day I'll learn to stop believing the media about the Ravens. They're like the freaking FBI. They reveal nothing.
Oh yeah, you're right. But the point is they're real.I don't like Preston because he tries too hard to make himself a part of the story instead of just reporting it. There's a reason guys like Hensley and Valkenburg have gotten promotions and he hasn't.
Looks like we're not the only ones skeptical of Harbs's involvement.http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/27/kubiak-hiring-may-be-a-signal-bisciottis-more-involved/
"@MikePrestonSun: Kubiak trying to put together offensive staff before he takes Ravens job. Members of old staff are in trouble." This coming after Castillo was openly promoted to OL coach? Is Kubes a Harbs move or a Stevie B move?
If Hostler is chosen and the offense struggles again Harbs should absolutely be on the hot seat next year. It's telling that Caldwell never even considered him for the OC job in DET. I'm not sure Hostler got consideration anywhere.
Michael Silver @MikeSilver If the Ravens pick Jim Hostler over Kyle Shanahan for offensive coordinator, based on their track records, it won't be a football decision. Agreed.
I don't like Hostler for OC but to be fair, what has the FO given him in terms of receivers? None in the first round, and only Torrey in the first two. The rest have been projects.
The fact that they've already interviewed Shanahan shows how quiet they're keeping news on this thing. It also shows that they were prepared to move on from Caldwell some time ago.
