Why have we blown so many fourth quarter leads if Harbaugh is so intelligent when it comes to defense? Shouldn't he take Pees to the side and say "hey, enough with the prevent and let's get back organized chaos."
You Ravens fans are so content with mediocrity. He inherited this team from Ray Lewis and Ed Reed (two defensive minds). His record since 2013 is 28-30. That's the definition of mediocre. He's not even .500.
It's time for some new blood. Another top ten pick and I hope we give Sean Payton a call.
Why exactly do you think Sean wouldn't be good for them North?
he drafted an offensive identity for a team that was mediocre in that category and gave us our greatest period of success in team history 2013 ravens had been picked apart for all intensive purposes was a rebuilding year considering the exodus of players either cut(Pollard,Leach), taking big contracts elsewhere(Kruger Ellerby), or retiring(Birk, Lewis). 2014 see what we can do with a decent OC that understands the importance of a run game. 2015 we basically had our 2nd and 3rd string lineup playing.

We already found him once, then he went to the broncos and won a superbowl
I am thankful that we have not lost a division game and for how much our drafted players are contributing in all 3 phases especially this years playing rookies and the UDFAs like Orr and Pierce
How did you feel when the confetti was dropping at New Orleans?
For the love of god, I'm not talking about his 2012 campaign. I'm talking every year since that (except when Kubiak was the OC). If he would play like he did in 2012 or 2014, I would shut my mouth, cause the man would be earning his buck. But the matter of the fact is he's playing worse every year since.
Another thing, of course I'm proud about our 2012 triumph and the way the entire team, including Flacco performed. And I'm ecstatic about the overall success of our franchise. I mean, 2 Lombardi trophies in 20 years is most of other teams have to show for. This is one of my go-to arguments whenever some other teams' fans starts huffing and puffing. However, CAN WE PLEASE STOP LIVING IN THE PAST?!
It's one thing to be proud of your past success, reflect and feel good about it. It's another thing to get hung up on your glory days. Every time I see one of our fans with the talk "But in 2012..." I immediately remember the arrogant "We-have-6-titles" Steelers' fans. WHO CARES about 2012 or 2000 or whatever amount of titles any team has won previously! The only season that matters now is 2016 and how far you get this year, that's it!
And let me ask you this, whobilly, do you want to remain reminiscent about our 2012 season or do you want to get another SB win? I for one would like to see the confetti drop again some time soon. For that, one of the following has to change: 1) Flacco's game or 2) cap hit created by Flacco's salary, so we could afford more high level players. And I for one don't see any indication that Flaccos's playing level will improve any time soon.
soooo he plays bad since getting paid except for the yeah he played good since getting paid? or is it that he plays bad since the year he played good since getting paid? I think the most important lesson here is that joe has played well since getting his contract and will play well if in an appropriate system. He is just an easy target, simple things for simple people.
Twest 8 rush for 42 yards and a touch Dixon 6 rush for 40 yards and why only 14 rush???
this is great. it gets the team to rally behind it's offensive leader and further separates this team from a passed era... don't know if he meant it like that or just pandering for ratings, but kudos
the good ol witch hunt... classic

Paul Kruger?
It's hilarious how everyone freaks out here been happening for years always at the first sign of adversity. everyone acts like no one cares about the problem except them and their 10 friends that +1 their fire this person thread( which, ultimately, is what this thread is). It is the exact reason i stopped frequenting these forums years ago.... but I drop in every once in a while during the teams down times for a laugh.... THE VILLAGERS ARE ANGRY! PITCH FORKS AND TORCHES!
It was the City of Baltimore that blew the Ravens opening game after the Super Bowl (it was not the Os) and now - no parade for the most dominating Olympic performances by Marylanders ever? C'mon man! You have a chance to show that this great city is more than just the Freddy Gray riots and you pass? Who's running this show? Nothing brings this city together (regardless of race, gender, religion, etc) more than celebrating our beloved teams & athletes - always has, always will.
Phelps statue should be at the inner harbor - you know, near the water.Well, might have something to do with the fact that people who have actually interacted with Phelps in Baltimore don't exactly find him to be that great a person.
And people only care about Olympics accomplishments for about two weeks every four years (and that might be a stretch).
how many people visiting Baltimore or even residents have had or will have personal interactions with Phelps? Now, how many of said people saw him in some capacity either winning or celebrating his record amount of gold medals? Yours is a small argument against a national hero

The guy is a gem... mark my words
Just watched that special on Elvis Dumervil and just wanted to say damn man now that story hits you right in the feels. Not only did he recognize and call out the misuse of funds by Red Cross, but he stepped up and gave even more. Give it a watch if you have time.
if it is like a neck and neck decision I would hope Harbs goes with the local kid. I feel they wouldn't just be playing for the team but also fighting for the city. They have skin in the game beyond the contract. When Reynolds was picked and they showed him and his family at his house someone there brought out a hat with the first(shield and wings) logo. If it was up to me West, Reynolds, and Campanaro would stay.

He is also a little bigger than Rice which benefits him on routes. Buck Allen is also a promising back, but I could see Dixon becoming the workhorse. You don't score 87 TDs in 4 years for no reason. Watch how hard he runs against Oklahoma with no O-Line through 4 Quarters in a blowout. This is our guy.
Dixon reminds me more of McGahee
If we are truthful about this, Joe is worth the money in the post season. The problem is that he is not during the regular season. If he is overpaid, it is the Raven's own fault. Instead of coming to an agreement prior to the expiration of his contract in the Super Bowl year, they rolled the dice and lost.
Since there are no separate contr5acts for the regular seasons and the playoffs, you don't have much of a choice: you can get a QB who's a Peyton Manning in the regular season, but a Jamarcus Russell in the playoffs - like Andy Dalton or Matt Ryan, or one who's an Alex Smith in the regular season, but becomes a Peyton in the playoffs - like Eli manning or our very own Joe Flacco.
I personally would prefer the latter...Exactly... I am not down playing the importance of the regular season... but championships are won in January - February... and that's when Joe is at his best... every post season he turns it up a notch... I will take a mediocre regular season and a championship rather than a strong regular season and a piss poor playoff run any day
"I will take a mediocre regular season and a championship rather than a strong regular season and a piss poor playoff run any day"
you misspelled Peyton Manning
Although I'm rooting for him big time, I can't see too many catches for Aiken if there are no siognificant injuries to WR's and TE's. With Steve Smith, Wallace, Perriman, Ben Watson, Pitta, and Gillmore also in the fold, there are gonna be simply way too many options for Flacco ahead of him for most of the passing downs. And it's seldom that a QB has to resort to his #5-6 target...
bio, I'm thinking several of our WR's and TE's will be in the 35/40 reception range. Lots of spreading it around for Joe.
Who of the Steve Smith - Perriman- Wallace - Ben Watson - Pitta - Gillmore do you think be targeted less than Aiken (presuming no injuries)?
I just can't see Aiken go anywhere near the 1,000 yard mark if there are no injuries in the receiving and TE corps.
considering after 10 games Flacco had 2,800 yards and our passing attack was ranked 8th without our starter for 6 games I am predicting there will be plenty to go around. Flacco was @280 yards per game assuming the trend continued that puts him @4400 yards on the season which means under Trestman as far as receiving goes there will be enough for all to eat
This whole time I was thinking that Ronnie Stanley was Osemele's replacement. Now I'm learning that there is no replacement for Osemele, these guys we have running this team really expect one of the backups we've had to step in and protect Flacco to the same caliber as Osemele????? Fire Coach Harbaugh ASAP
lol, wow..... Jensen played with fire last year when he was asked to step in. My money is on Alex Lewis though. You know you are talking about the same coaches and recruiters that found KO in the first place right?
"Ravens have proven playmaking receivers like Mike Wallace. Smith Sr. will be back and Breshad Perriman will finally be ready to play"
- Sarah Ellison
Me: I thought Breshad was done for?
you were wrong
all the hate and vitriol this guy and ozzie got from Ravens "fans" yesterday is sickening. you don't practice sports medicine or know his individual situation but all who are so quick to jump on this kid and dish the bust label need to look inside at yourselves and see what type of pessimistic negative people you are. Don't delude yourselves into thinking you are pragmatic or a realist. Furthermore now that you have said these things pride is taking over and you are now saying things like "he will be hurt soon" and "he will never contribute". It is an absolutely appalling and disgusting thought process to have and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. Those of you who have supported and had words of hope and encouragement for the young man please disregard this message.
whobilly.... no
I know everyone is commenting on the fact that Joe has his feet up with shoes on.....but something else concerns me. Does anyone notice the size off Joe's left knee compared to the right.
perspective camera trick his knee is slightly bent and foreshortening give it that appearance
