We have the WR's, we have the TEs, we have the RBs...what we don't have is a QB and a decent O-line. Flacco might be pretty good if he had the time that Dalton had. Also even though our WRs are good, they are forced to run the stupidest routes. One play had 3 of our guys within 10 yards of each other...and it was a 3rd and 2.
I watched some of the routes they have the WRs running. A lot of times they are all in the same area or same depth. Its not hard to cover them if they are bunched together or in a straight line across the same yard line. We don't use the whole field. Whoever is designing the routes needs to rethink what they are doing.
It was Icemans fault. If he would have taken the shot. Goose would be in Top Gun 2.
So just an odd stat, the same team that has the least amount of fumbles over the last decade now leads the NFL in fumbles, not fumbles lost just fumbles. The New England Patriots, that's right because deflate gate does matter.
Oh and our division just sucks this year, I don't even think we deserve a team in the playoffs this year. That's right it should be the best 12 teams period, no division or conference crap, just purely the best records going at it. I know it's a any given Sunday league, but certain teams just don't belong in the playoffs, I mean is being the best team in the worst division actually worth anything? When will they start ranking defense on the stat that matters points allowed per game, that would make us the #5 defense not the #2. Seattle would be #1 not Arizona, and everything would seem to make more sense. Total yards mean nothing, I'll give you 800 yards every week if you can't score on us and with field position you can have 5 touchdowns in less than 200yards offense, so in conclusion the NFL should change the way the choose the #1 defense. Even though I don't agree with the current playoff system we still have a good chance to win the division. I just hope this doesn't give clueless John Harbaugh, to much extra time on his credit here, I mean he said we didn't abandon the run game but the game itself didn't dictate us to run more. Really cause 6 yards a carry and time of possession means nothing right? 6 planed runs after the 1st quarter say Harbaugh is full of it, oh and a bad scramble because we only employ injured players in Baltimore, great O-line huh? 7 different starting combinations this year on the offensive line so much for the continuity. This defense is still good but if you want them to look better we need to control the clock which means the situation always dictates that we run the damn ball. Dream scenario this offseason Ozzie retires and Harbaugh quits out of pure shock forcing the Ravens to fix their problems instead of putting temporary band-aids on.
Why are you even a Ravens fan? or ARE you?????
more of levine, URban to deflect passes since we don't have pass rush, more Boyle and gilmore and less pitta's blocking, horrible blocking by the way. less of wright and powers, they're always playing catch up with WRs, more no huddle, and stick to the run game please.
Omar, it wasn't horrible blocking, that demeans horrible blockers, it was more watching while someone runs by you while not touching him. lol
that's the matador block...OLA!
we are never going to have a great offensive line if we keep letting them walk. We do need a new center but we need to retain Stanley, Lewis, Yanda and Wagner.
We have two of the fastest receivers in the league and we didn't use them. We had a super running attack and stopped using it. The Cowgirls were playing off us and we didn't take advantage of that. What was the game plan? and that Mexican helmet is ugly
Ray doesn't have to give a apology, he's right. As a 9yr veteran QB he should be the vocal leader of his team, rallying his team to go out there and give it all that they have
Rally How? The defense Couldn't get off the field yesterday?
the defense wouldn't be on the field if Flacco could sustain a drive.
we have two of the fastest receivers in the league, we have a 6'6 big body receiver who can run the 40 in 4.46, we have 2 clutch catchers in SSS and Kamar plus another quick speedster rookie and yet we cant get anybody open. Its time to look at the coaches and the routes cuz they must stink.
We need another big corner and a center. Why did we abandon the run? Oh well, the Cowboys ARE pretty good.
Were playing? All Ive heard about is the Cowboys. I thought they were gonna scrimmage themselves.
it would ave been nice to get 3 more passes to Smith during the Cleveland game. To get that 1000 catches at home would have been awesome.
The last time a team mate called Flacco out it was Ed Reed and it lit a fire under him. Ray is right. I don't care if youre a rah rah guy or not. There is a thing called team spirit and as a leader you need to show it, not go sit by yourself on the bench with a blank look on ur face.
the exact quote is "to be the best , you have to BEAT the best", not just play them. Our secondary is going to have to sharp also in case EE slips thru the the DL and LBs.
Beating the Cowgirls would have the media going into a frenzy over "should Romo be the starter over Prescott" storyline, and the Raven's would be pretty much ignored as usual. Which would be fine by me.
I'm trying to remember if the Ravens were ignored the last time they went to Dallas and stole the show, which oddly enough was Flacco's rookie year.
yes we were ignored cuz it was the last game or the first game in their old or new stadium and all their hall of famers were there. We were supposed to get trounced.
Ravens plan to make no-huddle offense a more frequent option in future games
I don't know why the offense looks 10x more efficient when they run a no-huddle or 2 min offense. It's almost night and day.
cuz they simplify the offense and we don't have to think as much. We run on natural instinct and ability.
teams WANT to play the Vikings defense to see if they can beat them....NO ONE wanted to play the Ravens defense cuz they already knew the answer.
Another thought might be to bring Camp up for this one. He could be deadly out of the slot across the middle. Dallas wouldn't be expecting it cause there is no film on him this year.
I think that's why you're seeing Waller in there now more. I know that Gilmore has been out injured, but Waller is the bigger and stronger TE. I think we use him for that stuff. There is actually film on Campanaro from last year and the year before in Tampa. I wouldn't sell them short on finding film on any of these guys.
Waller is an inch taller than Gilmore but Gilmore is stronger and heavier.
The Ravens need to study how the Patriots use their TEs. If they can develop plays to get him isolated on a LB and clear his side of the field he'd get free and all we would have to do is hope and pray Flacco can not over or under throw him.
When does Nick Boyle come back?
I'm raising my hand cuz I thought our rookies WOULD add to the pass rush.
he has a tendency to drop the easy ones and grab the impossible ones. He needs to work on his concentration when its a simple throw and catch.
What's with all the thigh injuries?
those are Hamstrings mostly
and on another note...why didn't we wear our all black jerseys? I love them jerseys!

I don't see how most of the offensive line can have positive rating when Joe had very little time and was running for his life half the time. Those PFF grades have very little meaning.
