As a funny aside, that picture of Flacco with that particular hairstyle and look reminds me of Jim Carrey in one of his movies but can't remember which...
Me Myself and Irene.
I want both QBs to preform badly and the Patriots defense to save Brady's bacon. Hopefully the score will be 3-6 Patriots.
"we think Correa is going to be a guy". That's like looking at someones ugly new born and saying "now theres a baby"
ya hate to pass up a great talent like him but we just don't need another tight end.
We have two receivers that can fill that job description...Aiken and Camp.
In order for a "playmaker" to make plays, you have to give them the opportunity. Camp is a playmaker but they only use him for end arounds.
Will we draft Howard? Will Pitta be released? Don't get me wrong because I really admire Pitta for staging an uncharacteristic comeback, but he's not a player that is a game changer where he can break a few tackles and get us a TD in crunch time. He is a comfort zone for Joe not because he catches every ball (he's dropped some dollies), but because he's Joe's best friend. 87 catches and less than 600 yards? And his first TD late in the season? Blocking so-so? We need to do better than that! If only Maxx Williams can suddenly grow into who we thought we drafted all will be well.
Maxx set a lot of Raven rookie records for a TE. I think Gilmore is a play maker if we get him the ball more. Waller could be one too as far as tight ends go.
actually Dean Pees defense does a really good job until the last 2 minutes of the half and the 4th quarter. We need somebody to instill confidence in the individual players. We need a leader (player) who can do that.
Hope we get a really good young safety in the draft so he can learn how to be a top safety in the league under Weddles watchful eye.
Our running backs are fine. We might want to get either a big brusier like around 240-250 lbs or a scatback with great speed like 4.3 in the 40 but we can get that in the mid to lower rounds or free agency. Wr pretty good too considering the speed we have in Perriman, Wallace and Chris Moore. Both Perriman and Moore should show improvement. We also have Camp and maybe Aiken. At TE were set with Pitta, Gilmore, Waller and Maxx. Our problem is our front line and how they are coached. Plus how the WR are coached and their routes. Fix that and we will be golden.
if we pick a RB he should either be a 250 lb bruiser or a 195 lb scatback with 4.3 speed.
Regarding TEs, if anyone of them should go it's Ben Watson at least. Pitta's finally made a good recovery and has good chemistry with Joe, Boyle and Gillmore are good catches when healthy and not suspended. Waller's made improvements. Maxx Williams, eh I'd keep him one more year to see if he evolves more.
I believe Maxx set rookie records for Raven TE's. Hes going to be a good one. We dont need Watson. Pitta is too productive to let go. With Wallace we need to renegotiate his contract and keep him for 3 or 4 years.
“We are going to build a football team around Joe, and Joe is going to be another year removed from the injury. We are going to build an offensive line that is best in the league, and we are going to put a running game together that is going to support the quarterback,” Harbaugh said.
WOW, Harbaugh you just figured out what it takes to win...fans have been saying this for years!!!
Don't forget the Ravens did draft a LT #1 and a LG/LT #4. Plus drafted a WR #1 the year before. They are trying, ya have to give them credit for that. If it wasn't for injuries to the OL it would have been pretty good.
I think a lot of people put too much credence in where a football player was drafted.
maybe us viewers arent as smart as we think we are
I'll bet all the pro bowl players feel gyped for having their pro bowl in Orlando instead of Hawaii.
So now we are admitting that Perriman is not a number one receiver?
He is not playing like a number one WR now, maybe he could turn out to be number one WR. So far the coaching are not happy about his progress. He seems to be a slow learner. Looks like everything is slow with him except his speed. His injuries are slow to recover. Maybe we should give him time to figure out NFL. Meanwhile we look for a number 1 WR in free agent till he is ready.
Maybe if Perriman had a training camp he would be better. I still think its our WR coach and out stupid route system we run.
We have too many other needs. Our running backs are fine if you would #1 improve the O line and #2 actually RUN them.
Damn, our roster is seriously starting to look like Swiss cheese - holes every which way. Just to name the positions where we need (improved) starters at: LB, CB 2 (considering Young should play the slot), WR 1&2, C, OLB, most likely DT and RT as well. Gonna be a looong offseason...
We've got the WR 1&2, we also have the OLB and RT as of right now. Quit being so pessimistic.
someone had to step into Rays spot...now THAT was tough. Then someone had to step into Daryl Smith's spot. He did a good job filling in for Ray. Then Orr filled in for Daryl and now someone has to fill in for Orr. Next man up.
guess the lead article needs to be revamped now that Orr is gone. #1 priority is find a starting ILB.
I cant be sad for Zach Orr. He did what most people are only able to dream about. He got to not only play but start for the best organization in the NFL. He proved he was good enough to be a top player. He got to come out of the tunnel, hear his name announced, soak in the 70,000 cheers he got evey game and earned the respect of not only his teammates and his fans but players from every other team. He lived the dream. How can you be sad for him? Next stop coaching. I wish him luck in whatever he does.
I have to look at the DC. He coaches well until its crunch time then he plays scared. Too much playing not to lose rather than playing to disrupt and dismantle. The reason I think this is cuz it happens just before the half and at the end of the game. In other words CRUNCH TIME
With regard to his accuracy with a hurt knee (assuming it wasn't completely healed), what was his completion percentage this year vs years past? Was it so much worse this year or not? In fact out of curiosity I dug up his career stats and guess what? 2016 was his best completion percentage ever! So, why do we keep creating scenarios as to why Flacco underperformed? Could it be his knee? Sure but was it? Don't know but at least it didn't affect his completion percentage. Well this article seems to say he was inaccurate because of it, but the stats debunk that theory. Here are the stats:

I think, if I can read this right, his percentage was up but the ave YPC is way down, so he threw more but only real short passes. That's why his percentage is up. If you shoot more layups than 3 pointers, ur percentage is gonna be higher.

Maxx Willaims was hardly a second round bust. He broke most of the rookie records for tight ends and weve had some good tight ends. How can you say our O-line has been trash? We have drafted some excellent talent like Stanley and Alex Lewis this year and Rick Wagner not so long ago.
