"The thing is.....you have to be ready for what ever life brings you.....your foot makes you go....your foot makes you stop.....its like.....your life is in your foot's hands...alright alright alright."
he'll be good this yr but next yr when he gets more experience and an NFL body, he will be awesome.
I don't see where the Hall Of Fame is such a big deal. Its 46 columnists deciding who their favorites are. The fact they haven't put Art Modell in shows they cant be all that bright or fair when a couple of columnists from Cleveland cab keep Art out after all hes done for football and the Ravens.
I think if this was a regular season game a lot of those players sitting out would be playing. Since its preseason and we want to get a look at the "new" guys, were being very cautious.
p.s. the only thing better would be to honor him during the Cleveland game.
I think to honor Art Model in our last home game of the regular season would be the most fitting. Without him, there would be no Ravens.
Harbaugh already said hes just reporting what hes been told about Perriman. He said hes gonna get out of the business of injury reports cuz they are making him look bad.
Theres a big difference between running for a stopwatch and running with a football in ur hands and the goaline insight. Some players have football speed which makes them faster than when they are on a running track. I think Waller is one of those.
As for Joe Flacco getting into the hall of fame....he cant even get onto a pro bowl team (I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it).
Frankly I'm getting a little concerned about all the interceptions our QB's are throwing in training camp. I'm delighted for the defense though. Sounds like it might not be a good idea to throw on us but then again its not a good idea to run on us either.
Urban could be back at the beginning of Nov. I'd wait and see how the team injuries go then decide whether to put Urban or Elam on the "return IR".
If Pollard was worth bringing back, Ozzie would have already signed him.
We have the players who could run effective screens but for some reason we always give it away that were going to run one. We need to find out what "read" the other teams use to figure it out and fix it.i really hope we become a better screen team...cuz too often we get beat by screens but can never really execute one. we need to study how denver always gets a big play from a WR screen and study how GB/NO get big plays from RB screens. Forsett could really do some damage.
If the front office thought like you did we would have cut Jimmy Smith, Webb, Jernigan, Canty, Kapron Lewis Moore, Urban, Elvis, Brooks, Asa, Rashad. Plus we would have cut Haloti, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed a few yrs ago.Elam was never going to beat out Hill or Lewis. We lost a backup and Elam may have extended his one more chance status with the Ravens. Trawick and Levine both make the 53 man roster now. Trawick still owes us big time for knocking out Jacoby for 6 weeks with his stupid play and total lack of awareness. Still, both of these guys are backups thank god. I'm fed up with corners getting leg injuries. Cut any secondary player that can't show his ability on the field. Get players that are tough enough to handle the NFL. Missing more than a week of practice makes you a liability. Cut them immediately and open up their spot for someone that can perform week in and week out. A lot of these guys use injuries as a way to keep getting paid, knowing they don't have the talent to make it in the NFL. Case in point is that little rookie Golson the Steelers overdrafted. His only way of not getting cut was to get injured and out for the year. His "mysterious" injury showed up out of the blue. Lucky for him.
I'm a little bit surprised Crockett Gilmores name hasn't come up more. Wonder hows hes doing at practice.
Depth is the reason we don't go after the high priced big name players. The system we run can make good players look great which is why when players leave us they generally don't make as big of impact with their new teams.
anybody else having trouble with the Live Feed on Baltimore Ravens.com that started at 6:45? Is it my computer?
Steelmans time in the 40 was 4.6 and 4.65 at the combine. That's not real fast for a 5'11" receiver. He might make the practice squad.....maybe.
the two that would scare me the most is K.O. and Courtney Upshaw. Marshall Yanda looks like a big teddy bear to me. ( I know hes not). Also maybe Jah Reid and Crockett Gilmore just by the sheer size of them.
I would sing the theme to Flashdance "What A Feelin"
I would truly LOVE to be in the room for that first team meeting. How can you not want to give it everything you've got after something like that? I would be so pumped I'd be shaking. GO RAVENS !!
every year the Ravens expectations is the Super Bowl. Anything less is not a successful season.
I don't think the person who asked Perriman about his weight got what Perriman was saying. Perriman was saying he "dropped his weight so he could get in and out of breaks faster" meaning he lowered his center of gravity not that he lost weight. I just thought that was kinda funny.
Cam Worthy will end up on our practice squad probably. This guy might have value as a K/P returner. I seriously doubt if he makes the team.
Ed might not have been the great player he was if not for Ray's mentoring. Just sayin'!

Perriman isn't hanging around the pool sipping PowerAde Zero. Hes still working in his playbook, working in the weight room, catching balls and doing other stuff that don't require stress on the knee. He wont be THAT far behind and until he catches up we have a slew of receivers that can handle the job. Our #1 receiver has never been the fastest and the other team wont be able to rest on our 2,3 and 4th choices (Aeiken, Marlon, Camp or Butler). They have enough speed to get the job done.
