Chances are he would have been a one and done year deal, just like Kubiac was.
If youre gonna take this guy, you could trade back, get another pick or two and still grab this guy or the center from Ohio State.
the strengths and weakness sound like they are comparing two different guys.
they are chartering the WHOLE ship? are they taking any fans with them?
Our Defense can be as good as anybodies but we still face the same problem we always face, when the D gets the offense the ball back we dont have the playmakers to get the ball in the endzone. And its shaping up like we gonna spend all our picks on the oline, Still no solid young WR its pathetic they dont address this, and dont bring in some old WR to be here for 3 years than retire im sick of that. I want an odell type someone young
WHY? We couldn't afford them after 4 years.
The top 10 likliest players we take:Â
1. John RossÂ
2. Tim Williams
3. Marlon Humphrey
4. Corey DavisÂ
5. Â Taco CharltonÂ
6. Cam Robinson
7. Â Charles HarrisÂ
8. Mike WilliamsÂ
9. Derek BarnettÂ
10. Reuben Foster
All-in-all good players but:
1. Ross - already have two speed receivers don't need a 3rd one
2. Williams - can get in round #2
3. Humphrey - is in the running but likely available in the 20's
WR Davis & Williams - have to be at top of their board
Edge Rushers Barnett, McKinley, Charlton and Harris would be my order of preference
OT is only taken if the Rvens trade back into the 20's in order to get more picks in rounds 2 and 3.
My top 3 are:: Williams, Barnett, Davis if we stay at #16. if they are gone, trade back and get one of the others noted because at least 4-5 of them will be drafted/available in the 20's,
Ross is more than a speed receiver. Hes an all around, tough receiver with good hands and GREAT speed.
Personally, I thought KC's problem was learning the defensive schemes and that's what kept him off the field. Â He has all of the physical attributes but if the problem is above his shoulders he'll never see the field.Â
I don't no. When he was in the game he had trouble fighting off blocks and got overwhelmed at times. It could be a playbook issue, although last year an article said the Ravens were surprised at how fast he picked things up, Of course they also made it seem like he was going to be a big contributor. So the he picked up things line could also be an exaggeration.
maybe they meant he kept his room clean
its good to have an article that isn't part of Harbaughs interview. Keep digging Ryan, you find more stuff to report on lol
it all starts with the offensive and defensive lines.
Its not the receivers job to "strut his stuff" or be a loud mouth, crying for the ball all the time. Its the coaches job and the QBs job to recognize the talent that's there. Aiken only had 12 yrds per catch cuz he was used mostly as a 3rd down option and the short over the middle throws don't get you much more. ( what was Pitta's YPC this year?) We underused a really good talent. He proved to be a reliable receiver and we just tossed him aside.
This guy is not a top 16 pick.
Aiken was a 3rd down guy. He wasn't in it for the long ball. I think we missed the boat on Aiken and we did him wrong. Hope he finds a home in Indiana and has a really good career...just not when he plays us.
Reed is still my man!
bigcatfrank1, I LOVE your enthusiasm. good post and GO RAVENS!
so many players, so few picks
the deal I would make with Claiborne is $3 million a year with tons of incentives. That's as high as I would go on someone who has a history of injuries.
we were gonna save 3.5 million and get pick 198 but now becuz of the wisdom of Ozzie we save 5.8 millon and get pick number 186.
I would like to see the Ravens get Jabril Peppers. He can play safety or inside linebacker. I watched him at the combine and he was definitly the leader of all the DBs. Not only in ability but he just assumed the leadership roll. That's something we could use in a young guy.
I'm glad someone finally agreed with me on Nick Boyle playing FB.
The Raven's failure to be able to draft or sign a long term #1 Wide Receiver have been well known by fans, other GMs and the news media. This is nothing new and Ozzie ignoring it is just par for the course. Don't know why anyone is surprised.
You know how the Government when being investigated hires a special independent investigator and prosecutor. I think the Ravens need a WR independent investigator and decision maker. Clearly we can't do it in any aspect from the draft to retirement with the staff we have in the FO, we have missed horribly.
The Ravens need a special department solely devoted to analysis of college and pro wide receivers so we can actually be successful at doing something, anything in the way of signing a WR. They need to have access to a specified amount of the salary cap and act completely independent in their analysis. Ozzie tells them that we need 2 rookie and one free agent vet and then this department takes it from there and they get what they want.
Bisciotti has to do something at some time because this has gotten ridiculous. No other team is as miserable at signing players than the Ravens are at signing or drafting WRs. Can we get old guys who can fill in, yes, but how about a young, good, WR, that we can keep and will help Flacco to be more successful because they develop a rapport that last longer than 2 years.
We don't need an analyst for who we draft at WR. What we need is someone to analyze our routes and training methods.
Zuttah is probably wondering what more could he do.
Ozzie really made Brandon Williams interview awkward at the end with that "ask your colleagues" answer.
The more the merrier! Theres always room on the Ravens band wagon
They might resign Dume at a lower Price.

I agree. Get it now or lose. Theres no way we was getting a 4th round pick in 2019 for him.
