That is great and all. However, when the offense gets 35 three and outs a game and doesn't score enough points, they will gas even the best defenses, and lose games. I don't blame Ozzie for not drafting a WR because CD and MW were long gone but I do blame him for not getting a WR in FA. There is literally nothing out there except a few old banged up guys that are not gonna help our offense. The offense was horrible with SSS last year. Let's do the math. Not gonna be a good yea, gonna be third in the division. Good job!
Theres still plenty of time to get another quality WR besides our young WRs will be better this year than they were last year. The biggest improvement comes between years 1 and 2. Given a chance, I think they will do just fine.
Campanaro will make it thru the whole year this time around. I have faith in our new strength coach.

But I don't expect that he'll be utilized effectively and that is what scares me about Harbs. Talented players wither away and are ultimately gone. I hope this time around they're able to exploit the talent of Tim Williams. The concept of the dog house needs to be removed entirely or if not, then it should be reserved for bad coaching/coaches.
I don't know where anyone got the idea that Harbaugh has a "dog house". And the Ravens when coached by Harbaugh hasn't let any players talent 'wither away". Most players excel when they are with the Ravens and but seem to fade when they leave.
I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at how well our current bunch of WR's do. And for goodness sake, NO MORE BOLDIN. Hes gone, get over it.
I watched the tape on Chuck Clark. I didn't see him any of the plays except an ole' wiff. Who ever made that tape for Chuck didn't do him any favors.
anyone but me notice that just before all the Ravens picks ESPN went to commercials? We got a lot less coverage but that's ok....there will be plenty of coverage when were in Super Bowl 52.
By the end of this draft, theres gonna be about 270 new faces in the NFL. SOMEBODY has to get cut to make room for a lot of them. We'll pick up anything we need afterwards in August.
I feel better now
I will always want TE Howard first, we don't have full time TE worth a damm but if he's gone go with Derek Barnett, Suggs is on his last year or 2.
We have 3 TEs already on the roster better than Howard. His numbers are pedestrian. I don't see what the big deal is with him. Too many people projecting him to be the next Gronk and hes just not that good.
I like Ryans draft better although nothing is wrong with Garrets. The only problem I have with Minks draft is the first pick. Not real crazy about Barnett. I'm hoping Foster falls to us.
Ozzie and Co. need to block out all the small talk and just do what they normally do and that's find good talent! We've been in position to win numerous Super Bowls so just keep that "Birds Eye" open for the BPA like they always do! The only thing I would like to see is some Buckeyes on our squad but I'm good on any player Ozzie and Co. select! So sit back and watch them do work ya dig!
I agree...WE NEED BUCKEYES!!!
The Ravens have struggles with picks like Maxx, Carl Davis, Jernigan, Crockett, and Brandon Williams? I think those are some pretty good picks.
"If"-If- Browns would part with 12 & 64 for Joe Flacco we should pull the trigger. Sign Kapernick and fix offense&defense through 9 draft picks, 6 WR,LB,WR,CB all before 77th pick. Even Cutler could be stop gap for a year or two.
April fools has past and youre the only fool at last.
This is exactly what we needed. Hamstrings and other muscle tears are usually caused when opposite muscles are different in strength. Its about time we recognized this.
anyone but a WR at 16,unless they trade back a few spots to like 20. i just dont see any of the WRs worthy that high, and our WR track record is bad as the browns picking QBs. im all for trading back a few spots and picking up extra picks and someone like Ramzcyzk or the best available push rusher, then going for either Zay Jones or Kupp in the 2nd.
If you don't believe any of the WRs are worthy of a pick as high as #16 (and virtually every analyst alive would disagree with that) ... that's a valid reason to not pick a WR .. but the notion that we're bad at picking WRs - that is NOT a valid reason to avoid a WR with our 1st pick. Using your logic, had OBJ fallen to 16 a couple years ago, we should have avoided him, because we're bad at picking WRs. That makes zero sense.
Yes, we've picked 3 disappointing WRs in the 1st round, however the jury is still out on one (Perriman) and the other 2 were made 13 and 16 years ago. To think that draft busts from over a decade ago will shape your draft approach is mind-boggling.
also lets not forget who we had as a QB back 13 and 16 years ago. We were going thru QBs like sweet corn thru the hired girl.
there are lesser braces he could wear if he needs to put his mind at ease or he could just learn to slide on his other leg. Its not that hard.
I hate to say it but if Cam Robinson is as good as advertised, he would make a lot of sense.
Lets not forget we have a whole bunch of TEs who all have good hands and can run the short outs and crossing routes. Also our running backs are pretty good receivers also so we don't lack when it comes to pass catchers.
what does that mean ..."remain pure"? You want it to be PURE then just run the combines and don't tell any fans about it. Only coaches, owners, and scouts be allowed in. THATS pure. Once you let fans and TV and commentators in it becomes a festival, a circus, a money maker.
considering who weve had at QB since 1996 , its no wonder none of the receivers we draft become elite.
Forget Boldin. Hes gone and hes not coming back!
I heard they signed Webb.
I am 99% sure the Ravens will NOT take a QB, punter or kicker in the first round. Other than that who knows?
WELL ... Barnett has just become more of a real consideration bc we just traded Timmy Jernigan plus our # 99 overall pick for their # 74 overall pick.
IDK... I don't like it. I know that we were going to lose Timmy but If we would have moved up 25 spots and got an extra 5th rounder from them.. I would have felt good about it... but
Even we just let him play his contract out and lost him... we would have gotten a 4th round pick for him. So basically we traded a starter at 3rd round pick and a 4th round to move up 25 spots this year in the 3rd round?
what makes you think we would have gotten a 4th round pick for him? That's not a guarantee.
