  1. Aug 1. Full padded practice....this is where the rubber meets the road.
  2. If you notice when ever we let one of those "asending" players go due to salary, we always happen to have a capable young replacement waiting on the sideline.
  3. Slot receivers are usually quick becuz they have to run their routes quickly and find the holes fast. I heard Jeremy Butler was as quick as Camp and has more range.
  4. Both Harbaugh and Tomlin have won Super Bowls, both are players coaches, both are intense competitors who have a hard time beating each other...but Harbaugh is not a cheater
  5. That's CraZy....just crazy enough to work!!!
  6. I think Perriman will have to split too much of his playing time with the vets. Tight end is a tough position to make the transition from college to pro. Heap and Pitta didn't really shine in their first year so unless Maxx is a superstar, I don't see him making the biggest rookie impact. Carl Davis will get in the rotation and have a chance to show his stuff. Tray Walker has too many vets in front of him to really shine. Za'darius Smith has to sit behind Doom, Sizz, and Upshaw. Not much chance for him to play. Buck Allen is 3rd right now on the depth chart and that's not counting Juice. My guess is Carl Davis has the best chance to make the biggest impact this year.
  7. there is NO WAY Tony Romo is a better QB than Flacco. I wouldn't even have Romo in the 2nd tier. That fool couldn't even clean Flaccos cleats. If Brady, Luck and Manning would have had to play in the AFC North for 8 years their stats wouldn't be very "consistent" either.
  8. I can think of a lot of guys with more pressure on them to perform than almost anyone on that list except for Canty and Elam. Jah Reid comes to mind as does Arthur Browm. All the guys on the bubble have a tremendous amount of pressure just to make the team. Perriman, Maxx, and Carl Davis KNOW they will make the team so theres not a lot more pressure on them other than just for playing time.
  9. This is a really young group with Kendrick Lewis being the "old man" of the group. I look for Lewis and Hill to be the starters unless Brooks comes on strong. Elam will have to show me he can tackle before I have all that much faith in him.
  10. Dallas? the only way Dallas will end up in San Fran is if the relocate. I look for Green Bay to be playing the Ravens in the next Super Bowl. ( GB will lose of course)
  11. a lot of people seemed to have just dismissed Crockett last yr as "oh, yeah. Hes there too". But he was drafted in the 3rd round for a reason. Ozzie must have seen something in him pretty special and I think this year we are all gonna find out what it is.
  12. well, if the issue of Flacco not spending extra time with his receivers was dead, thanks for trying to revive it, Zrebiec. What would have refreshing to hear is YOU not bringing it up again.
  13. 17 million for 4 yrs might seem like a lot but how much do you think Ozzie would have paid if he knew then what he knows now and could have had Tucker in the Playoff game against the Patriots instead of Cundiff.
  14. From what I heard about Butler he as quick and shifty as Cater and Camp and could play the slot. For as big as he is THAT would be awesome. There just might be some surprises on who out of the WR group will be a return guy.
  15. You are absolutely right, PD96, but man...you have GOT to let it go. lol
  16. Jamal sunk his money he made into a business and that was right before the recession. He lost his business due to the recession. Not exactly his fault. If the man who found her ring would have given it back he might have gotten a decent sized reward. I guess he did get a free engagement ring.
  17. our playbook was the thickest while the Browns have theirs on the back of a post card.
  18. McPhee had 616 snaps. I don't see Upshaws role getting much bigger. I think he will still set the edge and might be in on a few more passing downs but I see Smith or Means getting the meat of McPhees snaps.
  19. Ngata has 2/3s of the snaps while Jerrnigan had about 1/3. That's twice as many snaps but Ngata didn't do twice as good as Jernigan.
  20. It might have something to do with 3 of our 5 offensive linemen were on injured reserve at the end of last year. Most of those analysts only go by what they read and it seems they just quickly scan the Ravens reports. Got to make time for the Cowboys, Patriots, 49ers, Giants and other BIG markets.
  21. Sam Koch might sign for another 4 yrs after this contract expires. Punters don't take that much abuse and it looks as though he keeps himself in tip top shape.
  22. lets not forget he can also fill in as a field goal kicker in a pinch.
  23. To answer your question, RAVENSNAYSHUN I think it depends on the team. It seems to me this team play like brothers, all sharing, everyone wanting each other to play better cuz they know its a team effort. I don't think ego has a lot to do with it in Baltimore. However on other teams its like they resent one another and don't want to share their secrets. On some teams like the Browns for instance that type of thinking goes all the way to the front office.
  24. I would take a reporter from the 10th tier to put Flacco in the 7th tier
  25. I think Carl Davis will be more effective as a DE. I see him getting in on the sack attack big time.
