Perriman isn't hanging around the pool sipping PowerAde Zero. Hes still working in his playbook, working in the weight room, catching balls and doing other stuff that don't require stress on the knee. He wont be THAT far behind and until he catches up we have a slew of receivers that can handle the job. Our #1 receiver has never been the fastest and the other team wont be able to rest on our 2,3 and 4th choices (Aeiken, Marlon, Camp or Butler). They have enough speed to get the job done.
"The thing is.....you have to be ready for what ever life brings you.....your foot makes you go....your foot makes you stop.....its like.....your life is in your foot's hands...alright alright alright."
I don't see where the Hall Of Fame is such a big deal. Its 46 columnists deciding who their favorites are. The fact they haven't put Art Modell in shows they cant be all that bright or fair when a couple of columnists from Cleveland cab keep Art out after all hes done for football and the Ravens.
I think if this was a regular season game a lot of those players sitting out would be playing. Since its preseason and we want to get a look at the "new" guys, were being very cautious.
Harbaugh already said hes just reporting what hes been told about Perriman. He said hes gonna get out of the business of injury reports cuz they are making him look bad.
Theres a big difference between running for a stopwatch and running with a football in ur hands and the goaline insight. Some players have football speed which makes them faster than when they are on a running track. I think Waller is one of those.
As for Joe Flacco getting into the hall of fame....he cant even get onto a pro bowl team (I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it).
Frankly I'm getting a little concerned about all the interceptions our QB's are throwing in training camp. I'm delighted for the defense though. Sounds like it might not be a good idea to throw on us but then again its not a good idea to run on us either.
We have the players who could run effective screens but for some reason we always give it away that were going to run one. We need to find out what "read" the other teams use to figure it out and fix it.
If the front office thought like you did we would have cut Jimmy Smith, Webb, Jernigan, Canty, Kapron Lewis Moore, Urban, Elvis, Brooks, Asa, Rashad. Plus we would have cut Haloti, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed a few yrs ago.
Depth is the reason we don't go after the high priced big name players. The system we run can make good players look great which is why when players leave us they generally don't make as big of impact with their new teams.
the two that would scare me the most is K.O. and Courtney Upshaw. Marshall Yanda looks like a big teddy bear to me. ( I know hes not). Also maybe Jah Reid and Crockett Gilmore just by the sheer size of them.
I would truly LOVE to be in the room for that first team meeting. How can you not want to give it everything you've got after something like that? I would be so pumped I'd be shaking. GO RAVENS !!
I don't think the person who asked Perriman about his weight got what Perriman was saying. Perriman was saying he "dropped his weight so he could get in and out of breaks faster" meaning he lowered his center of gravity not that he lost weight. I just thought that was kinda funny.
