  1. the first couple of series are scripted, so no matter what the their defense shows, we play our scripted plays. THAT might have something to do with it.
  2. Shareece suffers from lackofapassrushistis. Ya cant cover guys forever.
  3. Harbaugh doesn't have a "no practice, no play" policy. If Stanley is ready to go, he'll go... whether he practiced or not.
  4. Lewis isn't horrible. Hes done a great job and will only get better.
  5. its part of the technique they teach here.
  6. Nice stat but not many TD passes. I would trade yards for TDs all day. What makes me sick though is seeing all these qbs across the league throw these simple little crossing routes and watch their receiver break a tackle or make guys miss for 60 and 70 yard TDs bulking up their stats. Rarely have any of our players been good at getting yards after the catch.( aside from sss maybe and he's not that fast and the smallest receiver we got) help a brother out and show some heart. Make some damn plays. I've also seen Joe drop the ball right in the bread basket several times only for it to be dropped. People criticise him for throwing off his back foot a lot but everytime he steps into a throw and puts some mustard on it the receivers don't make the catch. ( hence the Aiken drop that would have sealed the deal and had us sittin pretty at 4-0) fact is Joe puts us in position to come away with a victory every single game. It might not always be pretty, but somehow he always atleast gets us in position to win one way or another. Usually we have to rely on a defensive stop or tuckers foot to seal the deal...but Joe makes every game winnable and usually doesn't get much help. We scratch and claw our way back into that game against Oakland and need one defensive stop at home mind you and we let them march straight down the feild with no hesitation or resistance whatsoever. And even after that Joe STILL puts us in position to win and his receivers drop 2 crucial balls. Joe is not to blame so stop it with the nonsense. The play calling is questionable, and if it were me I would've ran the ball with west on third down..tried to catch them offguard and then depending on the yardage he gained we could've either went for a shorter 4th down conversion or sent Justin out for a 60 + yarder. Who knows west could've busted out with a 30 yard run or even taken it to the house. Running the ball atleast gives you a guaranteed shot at yardage, and west had the hot hand. 4 passes in a row was foolish. I really blame Moore for the drop, BC if he catches that then we likely do run it on third down if he doesn't pick up the first anyway. But I also blame Trestman. Joe is NOT at fault here. This is just one of those games that will leave a bad taste in my mouth for a loonnng time, being that close to a 4-0 start and beating a potential wildcard team. Don't get so high on Joe. He missed a lot of open, and I mean wide open, receivers in that last game.
  7. Part of the problem is that Flacco waits too long for things to "develop" when they were never there in the first place. Flacco consistently makes poor decisions and fixates. He makes the decision that he's going to throw to certain target, and when the defense has it shut down he waits for it to open up. In the meantime, routes that were open have now been sewn up. Everyone thought so much of Flacco completing 21 passes in a row. By and large, those were short to medium passes that Flacco got rid of quickly. This coaching staff needs to get it through their heads that looking for that one exciting play isn't going to win football games. We need to play smart, strategic, balanced football. Otherwise we're this is going to continue to be yet another mediocre year. that might be true, but having watched the Raiders game, superman couldn't find the time to throw, the pass protection was a joke.....but no where to go but up i imagine...So here is my plan..ha ha.....Have the Colts lose a few more, so they fire Pags, we get Pags in Pees out....wait for Detroit to keep falling on their faces, and Caldwell in, and Trestman out.....:) that's why we need to develop the run first plus pitchouts and dump passes. The times we did that we went down the field pretty good.
  8. Were 2nd in 20+ yard attempts. Looks to me like Flacco cant hit the target. He either under throws or over throws or throws it up into double coverage.
  9. if youre going by ypc, Forsett has been the better runner. The problem seems to me ( and I am by no means an expert on blocking schemes) that the O-line isn't winning the battle at the point of attack. The reason our RBs aren't running thru the holes is cuz there ARE no holes.
  10. cant they make a nutritious cake? Like a carrot cake using honey instead of sugar and applesauce instead of oil.
  11. I don't know why the stadiums don't provide cameras along the inbound lines and the goal lines. They can do it in tennis why not in the NFL?
  12. ABSOLUTELY! cuz in the end those rankings don't mean squat but being 2-0 is great.
  13. So Elvis's return is in his foot's hands?
  14. I think McCown was referring to the time he fumbled the snap, picked it up, dropped back a bit and was moving around then did a mini slide. The Ravens pounced on him but since he had fumbled and was considered a runner the refs called nothing cuz he never got out of the pocket.
  15. if the O-line improves the run game will improve plus the passing game will improve. It all starts with the O-line.
  16. I agee with January j, Its kinda odd to see Buck inactive especially since we run a lot on the Browns and theres always a chance one of our active backs might get injured....but I guess we have Juice to fill in.
  17. Why is every one down on Tresman? Considering His #1, #2 and #3 QBs, his #1 and #2 RBs, most of his WR's and his starting and #2 TE's were hurt plus a few linemen...I think he did a pretty good job. This year they are all back but spent very little time together in training camp cuz they had to rehab. Lets cut him a little slack.
  18. Flacco flat out owns the Browns? I thought everybody owned the Browns!
  19. Dude, Matt Elam isn't my favorite player either but don't be such a hater. Hes putting the work in and doing his best. Its not like hes lazy. You need to turn it down a couple notches. Its not his fault we picked him first.
  20. If Hines Ward is voted into the HOF I'm gonna puke.
  21. A lot of our red zone problems are due to the stupid plays called when we get near the goal line.
  22. 45" vertical? I could dunk it if I could jump THAT high.
