  1. I don't think he was including linebackers
  2. In 2012 we lead the league in penalties, the next year Seattle lead the league in penalties and they to won a Super Bowl. Penalties can be overcome by just going out there and making a play to rectify your previous mistake. That's what we don't do so well yet, that being said I liked the rhythm and flow of week one for our new OC. I think in the coming week we will be scoring a lot more points, but we still need to balance out our ratio. Honestly that penalty they called on NYG at the end of our last drive was complete BS, but they overcame that. so by what ur saying is the more penalties the better the chance of winning a Super Bowl? Sorry, not buying it.
  3. Eisenberg is wrong. It IS the penalties. Weve had so many penalties that ends good drives and so many penalties that have let the other teams offense out of a hole that we would be 6-0 if we didn't commit penalties. We cleanup the penalties and we win the games.
  4. The bottom line is both the offense and defense had their chance to win the game and neither pulled it out. You cant put that all on Harbaugh taking 4 shots at getting one yard and a score that early in the game. It was the right call but wrong formations.
  5. Flacco has made that play many times but it was up to him to see if any one was in either gap on the sides of the center. They were both filled so Flacco should have called an audible or picked a different gap.
  6. because they should have made it the other two chances. The call was right but the plat was bad. You have to spread it out at the goal line, not bunch it up.
  7. The defense was called "Organized Chaos" and it was mostly the offense that had the penalties Sunday. Back when our defense was "Organized Chaos" the offense usually rode the foot of Stover.
  8. so youre saying Harbaugh and Ozzie are the reason for the injuries? yeah THAT makes sense!
  9. No other teams are making adjustments. Ravens are not actually we played about the same but the penalties kept putting us in impossible down and distances.
  10. Don't get your hopes up. They had KO but they let him walk. I think the organization likes to save money first and win later. The Oline will be another patch work next year - you can count on it. Until they realize that 1 KO is more valuable than any number of Hursts and Jensens, it will continue to be a patchwork Oline. Remember they were so quick to sign Shareece Wright. He was cheap. You get what you pay for. but KO would cost more than 10 Hursts or Jensens. You can't pay everybody top dollar.
  11. Hopefully Marty doesn't have any asperations to be a head coach with all the other stuff they have to do besides actually coaching.
  12. It's was at our own 46 not 25. And why not throw up a hail mary - Joe has the arm. I almost would have like Tucker to go out there and try the 70 yarder.... I would like to see Tucker attempt a 70 yarder but it was too windy.
  13. Flaccos mechanics is one thing Kubiak really stressed...FOOTWORK. It seems Trestman got completely away from that and was stressing more quick release. Flacco needs to get back to working on his footwork. Its not the whole answer but it would make him more accurate.
  14. like Mornhinweg? That's one thing Harbaugh does better than anyone. Most of his coaches have been O.Cs or HCs before coming here so we can promote from within.
  15. if you watch it, they DID fool the other team. It was just a bad throw
  16. yeah cuz we only have just won just ONE Super Bowl and several conference championships in the short time he's been here.
  17. Theres ways to protect Joe besides just the blocking of the front line. Theres adding a tight end on the left to help block, theres moving the pocket, theres roll outs, with a good run game theres play action, quick hits, better out routes, all kinds of things Trestman ignored.
  18. Hopefully we get new routes for the WR. They couldn't get open against Washington's backups. When Kubiak was our coach he really stressed Joes footwork. Joe needs to get back to basics and practice that footwork. I don't know much about our new O.C. but I hope hes got his head on straight.
  19. Harbaugh wasn't aware of it because we had so few plays. When u go 3 and out or 4 and out you can run the ball each one of your possessions and still only run it 8 times.
  20. did Pittsburg gets some rings?
  21. you need to go back to Cleveland or where ever it is youre trolling from.
  22. I felt the same way about Perriman. So far, no match up nightmares. Waller will have either a safety or LB covering him. Not a CB. A LB will have a really hard time covering Waller with all that speed. Hope they give him plays with room to run.
  23. I am in the same boat as you. Whats the story with Urschel? He is a better center than Zuttah but is being ignored, he is better than Jensen at guard and he is being ignored. He has been a full participant in practice but inactive during games. My theory based on Harbaugh; Urschel must be in the doghouse. He must have studied too much math over the summer and not football and that ticked off Harbaugh, or Urschel may not play special teams which you know ticks off Harbaugh, or he is an NFLPA rep that routinely busts Harbaugh for breaking CBA rules and ticks off Harbaugh. If he was hurt, like earlier I would buy into his being inactive, but he has been practicing at full bore for over two weeks now and has yet to be active. There is something going on here, what it is ain't exactly clear. But I have a feeling based on previous history with our head coach. He is not in the "doghouse". He has just been beaten out by better players. Both Jensen and Lewis have jumped him on the depth chart. They are much stronger at the point of a attack (Urschel was on skates when he played last year) but as others have said Urschel couldn't do any worse than Jensen at this point. I am not sure how you (or anyone else) came to the conclusion that he is better than Jensen and Zuttah. Is that based on last years performance or pre season? He was absolutely terrible last year. Jensen and Zuttah were clearly better than him then. There seems to be some revisionist history about his ability as an interior lineman. All of the publicity hr has gotten in the offseason seams to have made people forget about his poor play. I mean its a great story but being a mathematician doesn't make you any stronger or more athletic. hes the strongest Mathlete we have.

It depends on who does better at practice.
