  1. The interesting part of these upcoming games is going to be which PS player is going to actually acomplish something. I am not expecting us to win anymore but will be pleasantly surprised if we do. It is interesting to see who preforms on our depleted offense. It is just too bad that I also have to see our terrible secondary as well.

  2. All game long I was pleased with how much heart the team played with. When we got to that final Brown's field goal try, all I could think of was just somehow block the kick. I was willing to go into overtime to try to win. I sat in total disbelief when Will scored a touchdown after the block. This team will be the better next year for all the effort these backup players are working with. When our starters get back next year, they will know that they have to fight for their jobs more than ever. Harbs quote about "iron sharpen iron" is going to be the by word next season.

  3. For the most part I love Harbs. The only big things that I have a problem with are all the times he is going for it on 4th down this year. We do not have a team that can consistently make those kind of plays. The other complaint is he needs to be harder on the coordinators . Those are the guys that are in charge of the position coaches. All these penalties are a direct result of coaches not holding players responsible for the stupid mistakes. Harbs has had to be the good guy this year to try to keep the players going and not give up. But the positional coaches are letting too much go. (like DB's not catching balls that come right to them, ST players causing stupid penalties that wipe out good returns, and so on)

The other problem we have is that our current WRs have no positional awareness. They do not keep in their minds what is needed for the first down. Our new TEs are a lot more aware of what is needed to get the first down than our WRs are.

Maybe after this humiliating loss, Harbs will start holding the coordinators more accountable and then we MIGHT see a ripple down effect to that.

  4. Bold prediction.

    Arizona:48

    Baltimore:17

Dean Pees will be relieved of his duties after this debacle to come, and Coach CB will take over as interim DC. He will understand that we don't have the horses to rely on 1 on 1 match ups and will use a scheme to hide our players weaknesses.

Things will be better in the future guy's. I mean hell it can't get any worse right?

Please do not challenge worse at this point!! With the way we are loosing players I do not want to see what worse might be.

  5. When the CBs are at least 10 yards back and we have so many pieces changing in the secondary there will always be ways that the QBs can take advantage of us. If we are going to blitz, then we need to be playing full press and one on one coverage. Otherwise when the blitz does not get to the QB and we are playing zone defense, we end up giving away big plays.

  6. I have no worries that Joe will do his best to get the most out of the receivers that he has. He will be spending more time with them this week to refine timing and route running. The only thing that he can not teach them is how to work around being held up at the line and not getting separation. That is the work for the receivers coach and maybe Smith Sr. can continue to tutor them. The main thing as Joe has said is these receivers need confidence.

  7. I agree with another poster that said that our other WR are used to SSsr taking the receptions and targets. When Marlon knew he had to step up, he did. This season there are so many others (before last Thurs. game) that he really did not feel the urgency that he should have. Maybe now he will find that inner spark again and be the receiver we know he can be. I think that all of the WRs and TEs that will be playing will feel that extra weight to get it done. I see us winning on Sunday and being surprised at how good our guys do.

  8. "And what is being cleared to play entail in terms of liability and things like that?"

If I had to guess, I would say that unfortunately we have seen the last of Pitta in a Ravens game. If the Ravens organization is concerned about liability, I would have to say they do not think that he will be able to play without injuring the hip again. It was always exciting watching Dennis and Joe work together. I think those days are gone. Dennis will continue to use the facilities to rehab. When he has rehabbed as much as he ever will, then he should retire. But keep in mind that he has a contract with guaranteed money. I am not sure how that will effect his decisions on rehab and retiring. It will be interesting to follow for the next few months to see where this all goes.

  9. On the subject of Brady and his situation. I am more irritated that he tried to cover up the cheating and lied to the investigative team and withheld information. I am also disappointed that the Patriots did not make their employees available for follow up interviews when requested. Yes deflating the balls was cheating and should get the fines called for in the rules. But to me their cover up is the thing that should be address harshly. Glad I will not be the one who has to decide what is the appropriate punishment for that.
