  1. I like your linebacker group as a whole but upshaw could never play ilb in my opinion he would be miscast there.

I think Upshaw can do well at ILB, his job is going to be to take on blockers to free things up for Kuechly to get to the ball carrier (a la Bart Scott) which I think he will be great at and he is solid enough in coverage to hold thinks down in the middle while Kuechly will be more responsible of more deep coverage because of his better range. Anything he adds in pass-rush on blitzes is a bonus, so his responsibilities won't be much changed from what he did last year at OLB.

I like the way my LB corps shaped up, they're young, athletic, and there is some flexibility as well.

  2. Pick is in, decided to take a dynamic pass-rusher to pair with Kerrigan. He might still be a rookie, but at this point his upside combined with the lack of OLBs left made him worth the pick for me. With Mingo this really sets my defense, I'm loving the way its shaping up.

I will message RavensAllTheWay that he's up.

  3. I like the Massie and Quinn picks, Massie was one of the guys I was considering at RT and Quinn is a guy that I always hated when the Ravens played the Texans because he would mix it up with our guys.

Amendola has some serious potential to be a stud slot guy, but he can't stay healthy. I know his isn't necessarily "injury-prone" but he has issues with soft-tissue stuff that keeps him if the field. Still when he's on the field he's dangerous.

  4. Ouch, I was targeting jones with my next pick. Well done, nice d-line talent. Datone and richardson will be rock solid for years.

That's rather hilarious because I was considering him as well, there you go getting in my head again.

Good picks, they may be rookies but they have big upside. I like the pickup of Sproles, but he really needs to be paired with true runner to be his best.

  5. Pick is up and PM sent to Challenge

I really like Bethea, really underrated and can do everything. Has been one of the few stable things in Indy for a while

Good pick, he was on my list for my next pick or two to finish my secondary.

Interesting, konz has gotten off to a poor start so far.

True, but last year he played at Guard which isn't his natural position. Also there aren't a whole lot of Centers left to pick from and Konz is young and still has the talent and upside that had him in the discussion for a 1st round pick a few years ago.

I don't normally do this - revealing my strategy and all, but at this point I'm going to need to play power football and employ a modified 2 TE approach

Hmm well that's going to be interesting, you're second TE will need to be a better blocker then

  6. Fred Davis will be playing in the slot for me since he's already told me he doesn't plan on blocking like a TE.

Plus, most of the bonafide #2s are off the board at this point and I prefer his receiving and route running skills to most of the other guys left. And he's only 27

I have no issues with the pick of Davis, like I said I love the guy and I was thinking of taking him later as a sleeper pick.

  7. he'll probably play safety this season though, Titans really look stacked at the back

True they are doing better in that area, but Verner has always been a solid, if unexciting CB.

I like Davis too but not right now. Honestly I would have taken a TE I signed in our other mock as well as Peyton's pet or The Legend as a complement. I wouldn't have taken them yet because I don't see the value but that would've been my strategy.

I kept names hidden to protect the innocent.

There are some that I would have taken over him, but he is still a solid option at TE.

The value would depend on if you feel good about the remaining TEs, if there is no one you like and you still need a TE then he would be good value here.

I think davis is a lot better than a tight end 2 if he can fully come back from injury he is an upper echelon player.

As for verner the titans are moving him to sfety so not sure what to think about him as an outside corner.

Oh I agree I think Davis can be a top TE in this league, if he comes back from his injury, though if you do then you need to have a good blocking TE as your No. 2. My point was he could be lethal as a No. 2 because of his mismatch potential.

  8. I don't know how I feel about these recent picks. The best one by far is Verner

Verner is a solid No. 2 CB, if I wasn't already set at CB he would have been on my list of guys to pair with Gilmore.

I also like the Fred Davis pick, he's still coming back from injury so there is risk there, but he was pretty good in the passing game. IMHO he's make a great TE2 if your first guy is a decent block, kinda how Gronk and Hernandez were before they fell apart here recently

  9. I guess they're trying to take the Apple approach.

"It isn't the consumer's job to know what they want." -Steve Jobs

To be fair, it hasn't worked out so bad for Apple.

But really Microsoft needs to focus on being a good Microsoft instead of a bad Apple. They built themselves as a software company and now they are trying to move into the hardware realm with all the subtlety of a nuke.

  10. Microsoft is considering PC games as a license situation. I'm not surprised, they make most of their money through making people having to buy for a Windows or Office license. It's not like I can borrow someone's Office, pop it in my computer, and use it on word. PC games have had DRM things on them for a while. Microsoft is just trying to help them and their related developers make more money.

It doesn't really affect me so I don't care. In the end it won't really affect sales, so Microsoft won't care.

I get you point about Computer software, they have had that locked down for a while, though most games can be reinstalled on different computers as long as you still have the license key (Office being one of the exceptions.)

However, the person you quoted, I believe, wasn't talking so much about PC games, it was more about how you can rent a DVD and swap it around an endless number of times and ditto for a music CD.

  11. Details of how the Xbox One will handle used games, and this is isn't pretty guys. From Pastapadre's Facebook Page:

Wow, that is the stupidest thing I ever heard of. If Sony goes the same route, they will effectively kill Gamestop as a whole.

Now if Sony was smart after seeing this information they would find a way to let the PS4 handle all used games to take away customers from Microsoft.

It will only kill GameStop if Mircosoft and Sony don't deem them an "authorized" reseller, ie give the big boys a cut of their profits, unfortunately GameStop won't have a choice but to give in eventually and share some of their profits or they will be forced out of business by a company that will work with Microsoft and Sony.

  12. The lack of storage space could also be a push by Microsoft to get people to use 'The Cloud', assuming they integrate Xbox One with it.  That would make me upset, I don't want my stuff on 'The Cloud'.

My main complain with using Microsoft's "Cloud" system is that they only offer you the tiniest amount. Aside from your profile you can't really store much else unless you intend to buy more storage space and then they have you on the hook for a monthly data storage fee >_<
