  1. I think I know who you might be talking about.  Young guy, lots of talent, but a big problem with drops?

Yeah I think got it ;)

thanks, needed him badly after i missed out on Talib - he's my rookie for the D, so no more rookies now

Its always good to have some youth on defense, he should be solid, especially with all the talent that you have on defense now.

  2. yea he is known for getting chewed out and shoved by cutler

Yeah he was bad in 2011, but then so was the entire Bears O-Line, and then he started the 2012 season poorly; however he was better after that first bad game against the Packers he greatly improved and he was one of the Bears best O-Line.

Of course that's like saying you're the least obnoxious NFL.com writer, but you take what you can get lol

Edit: Nice pick with Fasano, he's not a elite TE, but he's a solid guy who can do a little bit of everything ok and will hold down the position for you. Though there are one or two guys I personally would have taken over him, I can't fault the pick.

  3. Thanks I really agonized over this pick........I consulted a few friends and sifted through countless tackles......I needed tackles as you said and all and all im happy with the two I got...especially this late

Webb definitely gets a bad rap because he a member of "the Chicago Bears terrible O-Line" he's not an All-Pro OT by any stretch, but you could do worst than him.

  4. Just going to give my two cents on some of the picks that jumped out to me...

I like the Reggie Bush pick, I think he has a chance to live up to his hype a bit more they way the Lions want to use him, assuming he stays healthly.

At this point John Abraham is great value, while he's 35 he still has proven that he can get it down at a high level rushing the passer, he still thinks he's an every down player (though no one else in the league seems to agree) so you have to love his desire to keep playing in all aspects of the game.

I like the Ogletree pick, his athleticism gives gabe all kinds of options on where to line him up.

I think Pacman is a good player, he has some baggage, but for the most part he seems to have put that behind him and he's a good No.2/slot CB.

Aside from me thinking Sanford was already picked, that a really good pick. I honestly thought he'd already been taken which is why I didn't have him on my list for Saftey, if I'd had my head on straight I might have taken him.

Just to restate, I'm excited that Pinkston slipped down to me here, before he went down with the blood clot in his lungs he was being discussed as one of the best Guards in the business and that type of injury isn't one that has a lasting impact so I expect him to be back to form this year.

Webb is a solid OT, with all the Tackles disappearing we are going to start seeing more guys go that might not have otherwise when you consider the talent of the rest of the position, but you need to have bookend tackles to be successful and Prophet really needs them to keep Big Ben healthy.

I'm glad to see horus was able to make his pick without me here since no one took the pick from me last night lol I really like Johnthan Banks, he's a good press-man CB and I like his size when going up against bigger WRs.

I'll be honest I need to look up Holmes before I can say yea or nay on him, for now I'm just going to chalk this up to the OT void effect.

I like the Jason Jones pick, he's a great guy to have in a 4-3 because he can line up all over the place.

Well there are all my two cents lol

  5. surprised my Gino pick hasn't gotten more hate. I must admit I am basing my faith in him more on what ozzie thinks he can do, and you can't really argue with that track record, especially on the o-line.  Far more hits than misses there.  And a year working under Birk puts him much further ahead than say a Frederick.

I figured some would doubt Herzlich, but he is surrounded with everything he needs to succeed and has shown some flashes, certainly enough to garner some support from the Giants.  They certainly could have pushed for Bishop much harder or resigned Blackburn for not that much money, or be rolling with conner who they signed from the cowboys.  I figure his character and leadership alone is worth placing him in the middle of the defense with playmakers and skilled rush people all around him, and if he doesn't pan out there this year that would be an easy position to get a playmaker late in the draft order.

I think the Gino pick hasn't got much hate because there isn't much else at Center that anyone could clearly say would be a better pick than him. Sure there might be some rookies you think have higher upside, but Gino has more experience with just as much upside.

By the same token I think that is why you are getting some hate for the Herzlich pick, there are still some more proven MLBs out there that have fewer questions marks than he does. I personally like him as a guy and if he's close to what he was as a college player then he will be a stud, but he hasn't looked great in the limited time that he's since the field thus far.

  6. I really like Burnett, he might be 31, but he's one of the better 4-3 WLB you can find. I nearly took him a few rounds ago.

Soliai is solid, though he's no QB.

Gino is a unknown, but if Ozzie and Harbs think he's good enough to replace Birk then I will bow to their superior knowledge of the situation lol

Mark has always been a feel good story to me, he was a beast before the cancer knocked him down, but he's fought back and now might be the new MILB for the Giants this year. So awesome and inspiring, here's his story for those that don't know who he is.
