  1. Good to hear that, but I think we'd also like to hear about the results of that in depth evaluation and what changes are about to be made. Not sure if they'll release this sort of info for the public though.
  2. First smart move by the FO this season.
  3. I sure hope so.
  4. I just can't stress it enough, it looks like a terrible pickup at any rate. The fact that we tied up 2,5M of our always small cap space is just pathetic. FO seems to be performing just about as well as the rest of the team.
  5. Here I was hoping we were done with the bad news for this season, but guess not: Ryan Mallett for $2.5M in 2016...jeesh! Considering everything that's been going on with this dude, his immaturity, arguing with coaches, discipline problems, overruling OC-s play calling etc., than 2.5M seems WAAAAAY too much. And he's not even that good of a player. Why we throwing this kind of money at this kind of backup player is beyond me. I understand we need solid backup with Flacco's injury, but I seriously believe we could have gotten a backup QB with at least similar potential (weighing in all pros and cons) with much less money. Guess we have too much cap space in our hands, LOL.

  7. LMAO at pretty much everyone except Aiken and Brown.
  8. It's great and all, but the best defenses should play like this most of the season, not at the tail end, when our season is already under the bus. Denver, for example, has played prime defense from W1. So while I'm glad the unit is playing better, I don't see much reason to be proud per se, because the defense failed at their main offseason task - be ready by the beginning of the regular season! Instead, countless games have been lost because of defensive plunders. Again, I'm glad they're in the zone now, it makes watching our last 4 games bearable, but it doesn't matter much anymore. Now the only thing that matters is if they'll be ready for 2016 regular season.
  9. I've been saying it for half a season now. All these peculiar things - uncommon injuries that just pile up, refs making unexplainable calls, tipped balls falling for other teams, perfectly hit kicks just sailing wide for no apparent reason - it's as if the entire Universe is working as hard as it can to direct us towards something, or perhaps someone? I can't help but feel that there are great things waiting for us just around the corner.
  10. Wishing the best for Crockett. His playing style is so damn tough, guy refuses to go down. That's why he takes such a punishment every time he gets the ball. After every tackle I'm surprised he didn't get hurt. I'd be in a hospital bed after taking those kinds of hits for sure. You're a beast, Croc! Keep it up! Also, know when to protect yourself!
  11. What do you guys suppose is up with Tucker? Also, how will this affect his upcoming contract? I believe he and his agent won't be giving much of a discount despite his long-range aim issues this year, 'cause they believe Tucker has shown enough of what he's capable of. But from Ozzie's side of things, I can't see him making Tucker the highest paid kicker if he is currently the 31st in the NFL in kicking accuracy for this season. We all know about the "what have you done for me lately" mantra. And I'm afraid this is where the two parties won't find mutual ground and I could see Tucker playing next year under the franchise tag.
  12. These are as funny as cancer.
  13. Yeah it sucks, but can't blame anyone other than ourselves because of this one. Pats are cruising as usual *sigh*, and Texans are hustlin' it out as well, despite their fair share of misfortunes as well. NFL primetimes the games that audiences want to see the most, and I don't many people outside of Baltimore and Seattle want to see our game at this point. Also, there is no objective reason for anyone to complain about us not getting enough national attention. This season we got it all and we drop a fart bomb of a season. I know it's not our fault as well, you can't prevent injuries from happening and refs have screwed us big time. I'm just saying we haven't exactly given primetime worthy performances when we've gotten the chance.
  14. A good, realistic view of things, as opposed to all the people glorifying Oher like he was the lord and saviour for us, no critical thinking whatsoever.
  15. You're the perfect example of remembering the good while forgetting the ugly. Yes, he did start for us, yes he won a Super Bowl for us, yes he started all games. But I don't know how being on 11-0 makes you a good player. By that logic, all our players are bad players because they are on 3-7 team. Flawless logic. But I also remember how he was a constant liability in pass protection. Also how he never adjusted to playing the blind side in the NFL and had to be moved to right side, where I admit he did a decent job at times. But most definitely he was not a success you expect out of a 1st rounder. And that is just flat out untrue that he did not have many penalties. He might have cleared up that area now but I remember couple of times (including our SB season) where he did multiple false starts on ONE DRIVE. So for your sake let me rephrase this, "Javorius Allen Is The New Michael Oher, i.e a unexpectedly below average?" Better? I Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing Oher. He just wasn't what we hoped from 1st round pick (which is demonstrated by the fact that he wasn't resigned) but I wish him all the best with all of his future endeavours. I just hope Buck Allen will be even better player.
  16. Javorius Allen Is The New Michael Oher, i.e a considerable bust?
  17. Fact is that Flacco has been outplayed by most back up QBs in the league this season. Yet nobody has questioned his performance.
  18. The only good throw by Flacco this season. And it's dropped.
  19. So Asa Jackson commits 2 fouls in a game, neither of which directly cost us the game and he gets canned. Flacco thorws 2 INT-s, which directly cost us the game and he doesn't even get a bad look from Harbaugh. That's why I've been saying he's a biased head coach whose policies don't apply to all players. He has been lucky to have great defenses carrying his team, but Harbaugh in his own as a HC = 0.
  20. The imbecility of Trestman's playcalling on disply once again. Why is this clown still OC??
  21. Good thing the "Flacco elite QB" question is now definitively answered. Flacco is garbage.
  22. Might be a bit off topic, but I couldn't find a suitable thread so I thought I'd post it here. Sorry to anyone in advance if a bit off-topic comment ruins someone's day. Also, I'm posting it to share thoughts and ideas, so you can keep your negs and positives. I just want to discuss this. So my idea is about Trestman and him being the so called "quarterback whisperer". From the moment we signed Trestman at the beginning of this year I didn't get the hype. Some folks were yabbering on about how he's the "QB whisperers" and works wonders with his QBs. Now, I might be missing something, but as I took a look at his last pupil's, Cutler's couple of past seasons I didn't see anything amazing. He had some solid years, while he had some offensive playmakers, but all in all he was constantly below average QB. I dare to say he was pretty much on the same level as Flacco is this year - has some fancy passing yards, but other than that below average. And just now I stumbled upon an article on NFL.com titled "Brand new Jay" about how well Cutler is performing this year. Without Trestman in Chicago. Which leads me to a logical conclusion, is Trestman vastly overrated by us? He was fired from Chicago for a reason. He has had dozen teams in his career. Our offense is often times unimaginative and just plain bad - just like Chicago was under Trestman. To put it simple, is Trestman a bad offensive coordinator? I know the troubles with our team lie deeper and wider than the OC, but he too could be part of a bigger problem. Or what do you think?
  23. Yeah, it's hard to crack when you've already been broken in half this season.
  24. Hill a Raven!!! Sadly, not many true Ravens left on this team tho.
  25. Webb ought to play the position he is competent in. If he's too old and slow for CB, but can contribute at S then there should be no question about where's he gonna line up. He's made some strides at CB the past couple of weeks though, so if he keeps up the good work he just might save his CB job.
