I can't call this... The Ravens are going to have to escape this backup for the backup mentality. Its a nice idea, but just not reasonable... Breshad Perriman needs a back up if he gets hurt (At this point Chris Givens remember when we started the season without one). Just like Terrell Suggs this season, just like all the CB's before him. Zadaqrius was in his first year so I didn't expect Pernell Mcphee numbers. Those results just don't happen everytime. Arthur Jones is getting old if anything, replace him not Terrell. Don't draft an OLB because Zadarius did good considering he had to replace the production of one of the best to ever play at that position. If anything their shouldn't have been any O-line talk but the players who stepped up the year before got hurt (Eugene Monroe before him Bryant McKinnie) and backups didn't step up. The point I'm making is if you keep playing for your old success how can you build a future team. The Ravens offense is so predictable from a team layout for success. It goes No.1 receiver veteran (Derrick Mason, Anquain Boldin, Steve Smith) no.2 receiver burner Torrey Smith, Breshad Perriman, no. 3 receiver is always supposed to be the veteran that supposed to be in the slot at the beginning of the season tat ends up being the no. 1. All our other receivers are supposed to be unique. A prime example campanaro supposed to specifically be a slot no. 3 receiver. Catch 22. is outside of him and Steve Smith, Joe can't depend on anyone to make plays consistently deep down the field. We as fans are expecting the smallest guys to make plays like a bigger receiver. Another receiver at least being a burner (Givens in this case, Demetrius Williams before him). I say stop that trend by drafting Laquon Treadwell over anyone else at any position for this reason alone. He is the answer to you getting the guy you need instead of bringing in veterans all the time. The Ravens organization would finally be giving fans what they want in a player that has the size and can go up and make the play. He is not a burner and doesn't have to be. Just a playmaker that will make the catch when thrown his way. Look at his highlight all I see is him out jumping the defender despite little to no separation. Rather due to good coverage or just poorly thrown passes and still got the job done. That what we are really after at WR in a true no.1 and that kind of describes the play of our veteran WR that end up being our No.1. It would be poor of us as fans to tell our franchise to pick someone else. Reason why is if Dez Bryant, A.J. Green, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald was available tomorrow and we could get them via free agency. We wouldn't jump on the opportunity, so the only possible way the Baltimore will ever get that caliber WR is through DRAFT. All the other positions we needed to draft we acquired starter talent in later rounds (Marshall Yanda best guard in football 5th round, Ladarius Webb 4th round). End your offensive woes, Ramsey, Bosa, Stanley are great players, but this is something that needs to happen right now with that no. 6 pick. You can't say the same thing at WR it is our greatest PRIORITY since 1997! You take no risk trading back being greedy because you don't know when that quality of player will present himself again (Dez Bryant was one pick from a black and purple)!!! Really we aren't a big free agency team to cover up the fact we work in so many packages as a team. We would go broke acquiring talent like that via free agency. We get years of high quality via draft at a cheaper price. Essentially as an organization we have decided its easier to draft a player for a few years to keep our starters for more years and give them breaks in between downs. If they are decent we will offer them an okay contract, but will let them walk to other teams. Which is a lot different from the rest of the league where everybody wants to have an outstanding player (not realistic the talent and the salary cap creates conflict) and thinks our backups were future starters, but in all actuality they just fit well into our system. Moving along in the future, we need to decide are we drafting to win championships or are we drafting to maintain because you can't have it both ways...
