As former Ravens cornerback Fabian Washington tweeted yesterday, Webb may be in great shape but may have just run it the wrong way.

“You can be in great shape and fail the Ravens conditioning test,” Washington wrote. “It's all about how you run it. If you go too hard on the first 3 you'll be dead on the last 3.”

I think Webb paced himself on the first 3 to have plenty of gas left for the last three on the 2nd try.

Thanks for posting this. It clears things up a lot of us.

  2. "It got me wondering whether Ravens fans would ever to go to such lengths. And if you would pony up the cash, what would your message above Steelers camp be?"

I'm going out on a limb here and well aware I'm risking raking up a nice number of negs - I'd say it wouldn't happen with the Ravens/steelers, or if it did, the message would be something radically different. Why? Because, at the heart of every truly great and long lasting rivalry, there is a huge deal of mutual respect. You can't feel you're in a rivalry with an opponent you can't respect. And, to be honest, I don't remember the steelers ever extending any kind of cheating or foul play on the organizational level... So, a heated rivalry, for sure. But a lotof respect, too. With the pats? Heated battles - for sure. Respect? Well... There would be a lot to respect about the pats as an organization, but it's real hard when they're doing these kinds of things...

I would agree for the most part with the exception of Tomlin walking on the field when Jacoby was about to return a TD.

But I have respect for our "Enemy" and I think they are a very worthy opponent.

  3. So wait, we have one of if not the best roster in the NFL but then the Harvard guy makes an ELO based on strength of the roster and then we fall to the bottom of the list. I don't care to look into this any deeper but the numbers seem WAY off.

I think I would rather go with something a little more realistic like Vegas' odds: http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/futures/

"Last season, Flacco had the most passing yards lost (472) due to dropped passes by his receivers than any other NFL quarterback, according to Pro Football Focus."

Thank You! Imagine if half of those were caught instead of dropped/intercepted, Flacco's numbers would be through the roof as we would probably be holding the Lombardi trophy and would not be considered Tier 2

    Bye Felicia!

  5. I hope JTuck will give us a hometown discount. I am not saying that I want him getting pennies on the dollar but I don't want him taking up a good portion of the salary cap for someone who is on the field for only 5% of the game. Yes, he scores points and yes he has won a game or 2 just with his leg but there are 52 other guys on the team that play way more than he does.

He seems like an awesome guy to be around and a great teammate (did someone say Wolfpack?) and the best kicker in the league but lets be real about this position and the salary cap percentage that we should allocate to it.

Now if there wasn't a salary cap then we should pay him whatever he wants because he IS the best kicker in the league. Also he post great Instagram photos  :P

  6. Well done, Sam - you deserve it. Least anyone forget - you burned what, 7-8 seconds off the clock taking that safety in the super bowl then boomed the ensuing punt too far for them to fair catch and try a FG to tie the game. That alone is worth 15 million in my book!!

^--- This!!! Huge play in the Super Bowl. Very smart play and easily forgotten about.

I am glad to see this deal happen as punters/kickers are often passed around the league like a yawn and Koch seems like a great guy who is not only excellent at his job but also a great team player.

  7. 7th tier, what a joke. How many of Flacco's interceptions were because Torrey Smith just gave up on the play and either didn't go for the ball or didn't try to stop the defender from catching it? Now that Torrey is gone for the 2015 season I see Joe skyrocketing up on that list. Joe throws a great ball its just that his receivers let him down at the worst time (Lee Evans, TJ housmansada, Boldin, Torrey Smith)

Warning!: The below videos are very hard to watch as a Ravens fan.

    Lee Evens Drop:

    Anquan Boldin Drop :

    TJ Houshmandzadeh drop :

Edit: Sorry mod about the Torrey video, I didn't have the speakers on when I watched it.

  8. I hope SSS puts up 1k yards this year and wins a SB ring. He is such a great role model for players and fans alike and seems to be VERY active in the community. I hope the best for him and is quickly turning into one of my favorite active Ravens player. Joe's contract was right on par with what he deserves, we finally have a franchise QB. With 7 Mil under the cap I wonder what Ozzie is going to do?!

  9. The "fired up" comment was just a PC media answer that Harbaugh gave when asked about Joe's response to the first 2 picks. When asked the question, Harbaugh started laughing, then asked Ozzie, "should I tell them what he said?" They apparently didn't think it was a good idea, so Harbaugh simply said, "he was fired up." I wonder what Flacco really said that had Harbaugh laughing and had Ozzie thinking it wasn't appropriate for us to hear.

Probably something along the lines of "It was about time you did" but with more adult words and emotion.

  10. I wish you were able to comment on videos. I just watched the "wired" section on the best of the pro bowl and it would be nice to hear what other fans have to say on that video and others.

Can you make it happen? Maybe Embed the video in a forum post so people can leave their feedback.
