Yeah, I agree. I dig the look of the Denali (that front grill is just damn good looking), but I think I am leaning towards the Z71. The baby is due in March, so I have time and I am looking to steal one for a real good price. I'm looking for a 2003-2006 with sub 75k miles, leather, 3rd row seat and obviously all power options. Rear entertainment would be nice, but the aftermarket headrest add-ons are so affordable these days, that its not a must. I am pleasantly surprised that with all of that said, Im looking at about $9500 - $12,500 depending on the options and mileage.
We got rid of our 2003 Hoe for a Buick Enclave because of 'numerous' electrical gremlins. My Avalanche likewise has similar gremlins. If you do buy GM, which I do, be ready for electrical issues and brake-jobs on a regular basis. I have. ![]()
I had an '86 Trans Am. ![]()
Oh yeah, and a mullet.
Guess I have to go to the Steelers' board to see some nice pics of good ole American muscle. ![]()
I love both the Vette AND Viper. I'm just not really much of a go fast type of guy anymore though. I'm just as happy now with my slow poke Rubicon!
Truth be told, I had more fun with my '83 CJ7 than any other vehicle ever owned. Nothing like driving with a lift, some loud tires, doors off, top down!
Purple, are you a member of the G8board?
We talked about that monstrosity for pages and pages and pages.
Evidently the rumor is it was a guy going through a divorce and she was to get the Vette so he went out and had that done to it.
Still brings a tear to my eye, none the less. ![]()
We currently own 3 GM vehicles and 1 Ford.
But honestly, I buy whatever tickles my fancy...so long as it has a US badge on it. ![]()
The problem with the ZR1 is that coming down the road to most people it looks like a Vette...just a Vette. You would then need to explain why it is much more than 'Just a Vette'.
There is not mistaking a Viper. lol
So, it sounds to me the Viper is the way to go then!
Wrong. Vette insurance is CHEAP compared to almost ALL sports cars. My Formula and Z28 were both more. The STI is considered a Sedan, thats what it was cheaper.
I just wonder what kind of 50 year old guy would trade a Vette in for an STi.
STi's are neat cars, but a bit too boy-racer for me. And, I'm not even in my 50's. lol
And are you kidding 549, the ZR1 would SPANK a Viper.
The reason for the Camaro is there are only going to be so many made, ole man doesn't want what everybody else has.
Spank?
I bet you will see tons of Camaro's on the road in another year or two.
They will be like Mustang's. You will need to have something really unique to have something that even stands out.
Heck RS Camaro's have already gotten pretty regular here in little ole Hanover. I believe we already have like 5 or 6 in town.
Oh my....all day long!

Yes, but I don't think we are talking about a daily drier. At least I wouldn't spend $60K on a Camaro if so.
They may be expensive for all that, but nothing imo out does a Viper.
To each their own, but a Viper just makes the GT500 and ZR1 look standard.
I do agree as a collectible car, it is sweet.
And true it would hold it's value pretty nicely.
Why not get a lightly used Viper? Those can be had for $50K and you will have a car that stops traffic!
Well the ole man has had his fun with his bike and is looking to sell it and pick up a car. Looks like he wants a ZL575 Camaro. What do you guys think of this puppy...
I like them. But $23K seems a bit salty for what you get. As a collectors car, it would be worth it.
But for short term usage, you could build your own for less.
If I was going to spend 60,000 on a muscle truck like that I don't think I would be worrying about the fuel economy and how much the thing is going to tow, that's not the reason you buy those trucks. Give me the SRT-10 and I'll be having some major fun.
If it was my thing, I'd take the SRT Grand Cherokee over all them. Fast and looks killer!
Not a big fan of its shape actually.
I'll take it!!!!
Was looking at this link from another forum:

This is NOT what I would refer to as 'motorhead' cars. I should actually cry being as how most of these cars are local.
I would rather have a "Toyota Prius" then an ML320...
Don't think I'd go THAT far. lol
I'll need to check into that. This winter instead of putting my car away, I am going to truck it off for a mild cam upgrade and SC install. The Maggi is what most guys are going with. But overall it is very subdued.
To me, there is no better sound than a Whippled 03-04 Cobra!
Here is a video of the G8's sister, Vaxhaull. It will show you what I am looking for sound-wise. Heaven to the ears......
Make that for a G8?
What Maggie? The TVS or old school?

I am waiting to see if the Whipple SC for the Camaro will work first. ![]()
but the WTQ is still a joke and so is the TQ steer... Not to mention blowing CV axels like a Baltimore street....Nevermind... lol
That's the problem with the internet....75% of my posts are done in sarcasm. ![]()
After I saw the stats on this one car.
I was about to change my name from Ravenmore to ZL575!!!!!
This fall after my Maggi install my numbers should be up there too. ![]()
But it's still a S-Box civic....
Sure, but did you ever see how much whp you can pick up with those cars?
Can muffler, stickers, F1 spoiler, cut the springs and you have one serious machine! ![]()

Its always been a trade off in my mind.
If I can have the looks of a Corvette or the reliability of a Camry...I'll take the Vette.
