  1. Yeah, I agree. I dig the look of the Denali (that front grill is just damn good looking), but I think I am leaning towards the Z71. The baby is due in March, so I have time and I am looking to steal one for a real good price. I'm looking for a 2003-2006 with sub 75k miles, leather, 3rd row seat and obviously all power options. Rear entertainment would be nice, but the aftermarket headrest add-ons are so affordable these days, that its not a must. I am pleasantly surprised that with all of that said, Im looking at about $9500 - $12,500 depending on the options and mileage.

We got rid of our 2003 Hoe for a Buick Enclave because of 'numerous' electrical gremlins. My Avalanche likewise has similar gremlins. If you do buy GM, which I do, be ready for electrical issues and brake-jobs on a regular basis. I have. ;)

  2. I love both the Vette AND Viper. I'm just not really much of a go fast type of guy anymore though. I'm just as happy now with my slow poke Rubicon!

Truth be told, I had more fun with my '83 CJ7 than any other vehicle ever owned. Nothing like driving with a lift, some loud tires, doors off, top down!

  3. Purple, are you a member of the G8board?

We talked about that monstrosity for pages and pages and pages.

Evidently the rumor is it was a guy going through a divorce and she was to get the Vette so he went out and had that done to it.

Still brings a tear to my eye, none the less. :(

  4. Wrong. Vette insurance is CHEAP compared to almost ALL sports cars. My Formula and Z28 were both more. The STI is considered a Sedan, thats what it was cheaper.

I just wonder what kind of 50 year old guy would trade a Vette in for an STi. :34853_shakehead:

STi's are neat cars, but a bit too boy-racer for me. And, I'm not even in my 50's. lol

  5. And are you kidding 549, the ZR1 would SPANK a Viper.

The reason for the Camaro is there are only going to be so many made, ole man doesn't want what everybody else has.

    Spank?

    My link

I bet you will see tons of Camaro's on the road in another year or two.

They will be like Mustang's. You will need to have something really unique to have something that even stands out.

Heck RS Camaro's have already gotten pretty regular here in little ole Hanover. I believe we already have like 5 or 6 in town.

  6. Yes, but I don't think we are talking about a daily drier. At least I wouldn't spend $60K on a Camaro if so.

They may be expensive for all that, but nothing imo out does a Viper.

To each their own, but a Viper just makes the GT500 and ZR1 look standard.

  7. If I was going to spend 60,000 on a muscle truck like that I don't think I would be worrying about the fuel economy and how much the thing is going to tow, that's not the reason you buy those trucks. Give me the SRT-10 and I'll be having some major fun.

If it was my thing, I'd take the SRT Grand Cherokee over all them. Fast and looks killer!

  8. I'll need to check into that. This winter instead of putting my car away, I am going to truck it off for a mild cam upgrade and SC install. The Maggi is what most guys are going with. But overall it is very subdued.

To me, there is no better sound than a Whippled 03-04 Cobra!

Here is a video of the G8's sister, Vaxhaull. It will show you what I am looking for sound-wise. Heaven to the ears......
