So you don't like Downey Jr or Law but you like Tom Cruise? the man has no soul.
I concur
Personally I can't stand Sam Worthington, his accent is horrible. It's like he rides a rollercoaster from American back to Australian in each sentence, other Aussie actors can do it like Hugh Jackman and, uh, Russell Crowe and etc etc. It's sad that he's keeping American actors out of work to go stink up the dialogue.
There's an illegal immigration joke in there somewhere
You both sicken me.
So I was watching Grown Ups until Maya Rudolph showed her face in it, so I had to turn it off. Watched the first Hostel again a couple nights ago. Love that movie. I've never seen Gladiator, so my dad made me watch it last night. It was an amazing movie. The Descendants was so-so. I'd wait for it to be released on video. Looking forward to Ghost Protocol. Can't wait for The Devil Inside.
Now I know why you hate Maya Rudolph: you have a horrible taste in movies
My damn head just exploded.
How I wish
I watched the very first episode of SNL the other day. There was a Jim Henson puppet sketch that was just weird.
From what I've heard, the guy makes a 12 person centipede
Holy hell. Human Centipede 2 was God awful. I couldn't wait for it to be over.
Why did you watch it, then?
Ever since Beetlejuice I've been a fan of Danny Elfman. Ofcourse he is sort of like Burton's musical henchman.
I think Elfman's best work was for Nightmare Before Christmas (with Burton). He was actually the singing voice for Jack Skellington.
Hans Zimmer is certainly one of the best film composers of this generation.
I know.. I don't really like old movies though, unless Romero did them
Get out
If that's the 2009 version, then yes.
No, you saw the bad version
The Last House On The Left is actually a good one. Realistic, but a little disturbing.
I really hope you're talking about the Wes Craven movie.
but some of my favorite movies are remember the titans, shooter, and of course every single rush hour movie haha
get out
Just added it to my bottomless queue, lol.
I rarely use the queue anymore. If I see something interesting while browsing I watch it. The queue now just holds foreign films that me and the wife are never in the mood to watch.
I don't wear glasses, but I do have something you don't: a great big bushy beard
Anyone seen Friends with Benefits? Yeah, it's kinda girly, but so am I.
Fixed
Bad guess, lol. I was ticked off at first because of the stereotypical cast but it's a good one if you, like me, enjoyed the first. Jon will be along soon to tell you the foreign film it was based on is better, lol.
[REC] was better
Thats because Jon is a film hipster, he probably hated Roger Ebert before it was cool to hate Roger Ebert.
I actually like Roger Ebert.
has anyone seen the movie [slur deleted] Zombies? i saw a poster of it years back but never got to see it
Are you thinking of Dead Snow? I highly recommend it.
I haven't seen any of Romero's films since Land of the Dead. I think he peaked with Dawn of the Dead, which is the greatest zombie movie ever.
Edit: I'm not talking about the version with Ving Rhames
I think I would like it better as a stand alone horror film, but it's just not what Halloween is supposed to be in my opinion. The thing that made Michael scary originally was that we had no background knowledge of him and had no clue what this Shape was and why it was doing what it was doing. And also, that he was a normal sized human being that just wouldn't stop getting up no matter what. I think giving us a look at Michael's past and making him a 7' tall monster sort of took away from what Michael Myers is supposed to be and what made him scary in the first place.......That's not to say Zombie's view wasn't interesting though. Rob Zombie's H2 on the other hand was flat out atrocious haha. If you haven't seen it then don't haha.
This is why the original Halloween was better than Zombie's version. Nobody could top John Carpenter in his prime.
Though I do like Zombie as a director and wouldn't mind seeing him trying to make something other than horror.
Dream House was ehh. 50/50 was a great movie. Can't wait for The Thing (prequel), The Ides of March and Paranormal Activity 3!
Now your post makes sense
If you can only see one Norwegian movie about trolls this year, make it Troll Hunter.
Looking forward to Straw Dogs. Kate Bosworth is in a class of her own.
Go watch the original. James Marsden is no Dustin Hoffman. Also, I really hate remakes that glorify violence when the original does the opposite.
