I like it... with the exception of RB. We don't need anymore RB's, especially in the 3rd round. There is no position ever which could not be uprgaded.

I agree. Trade back 7-8 spots, pick up a 3rd or 4th Rounder and draft OT Cam Robinson. He's KO 2.0! Will still have stud CBs available with the 2nd Round pick. You can also package two of those 3rd Rounders to move back up into the 2nd for a pass rusher like Tim Williams or Carl Lawson. That could work IMHO

I guess it's just getting awfully and unexcusably old for me to keep saying this - but I still think that this year Ozzie cannot really pick a bad position in the first round. He can pick the wrong guy - but not "the wrong" position. If we exclude the obvious ones Ozzie won't pick in the first round this year - QB, P, K - we're left with a list of positions each of which can do with some reinforcements - even the one where we don't have holes, like S, RB or even TE... Whou wouldn't rush to submit the slip if, for some inexplicable and diabolical reason, Leonard Fournette was still on the board at #16? My pick is still the best RT available at #16 (or wherever we pick in the first round) - for the sole reason that OT is the position which seems the least likely to still have guys on the board in the mid-rounds. But that's just a though, nothing more, of course,

I don't think we should put any faith in anything any NFL organization says about the draft pre-draft. This is part of the draft strategy and draft operation - if the organization's interest is to throw some smoke screen out there, they are gonna do so. And that's no problem. Taking it seriously is.

I don't even understand the question. "Could they use a first-round pick on the same position just two years later? " - Why opn earth couldn't they? Is there ONE meaningful argument against this? The same goes to drafting an OT, after haviong drafted one in the first round the previous draft. Could the Ravens draft OT's in back-to-back first rounds? Why on earth couldn't they? What goes against it? I'm frankly baffled. Why does this question even come up?

Most mocks still have Sidney Jones go in the second round. Well, we all know how far mocks should be trusted, of course... But I agree: I think Sidney Jones won't last into the third round. Would be great to snatch him though.

Sorry bio, I will take a motivated Timmy and his production and a possible 3rd round comp pick next draft over moving up 25 spots in the third round this draft any day. IMHO Lombardi is the one who is wrong. He did not convince me one bit with his argument. And how do you know we would have gotten a "motivated" Jernigan in 2017? And how do you know this "motivation" wouldn't have triggered even more boneheaded penalties?

Not as if it was anything close to crucial - or even really important - but could anyone explain to me why a tightly run organization that seems to be well organized and strong on scheduling events, still cannot assign a definite date for releasing the schedule? Why do they make it seem like there are factors they cannot foresee? There aren't. The schedule could already be ready now. What is this "it will be ready SOMETIME the coming weeks" approach? It always sounds like they're saing "OK,we know we should make the schedule some time around now, we'll see to it at some point." I hate it when the news is about when they THINK the schedule is goiung to be relased. This is a textbook example of no-news - and it still makes the news on a regular basis...

There seem to be schedule-related wishes we have been coming to expect - secretly knowing they won't come true... These include: - A home MNF game - An MNF game v the steelers - A Week#17 game v the steelers - NO Week#17 road game in Cincinatti I hope that at least the positive "custom" of getting a mid-schedule bye won't be broken.

As for Shanahan: yep, there is a definite chance he would have been lured away from Baltimore with a HC-gig bait after one season like Kubiak was - and it takes some imagination to picture an O better - more efficient that is - than Kubiak's anyway... So, I don't think anyone could really say we should have opted for him over Kubiak (especially Justin Forsett LOL). What I was secretly hoping is that he would be consiodered as a replacement for HC after last season. Now, THAT would have been an exciting move IMHO. Wisely, the owner shot down any speculations very early, but it was good to dream about it

I'm still of the opinion that Ozzie cannot pick the wrong position at #16. He can pick the wrong guy, but not the wrong position. WR, edge rusher, CB, front seven, OL, RB, ILB, you name it... even a TE or S would not be a bad idea. And we know he won't pick a QB. What makes me think it's gonna be an OT or OG is the fact that this is the thinnest rookie pool of our truest need positions in this draft. There are gonna be great options for WR, rusher and CB in the second round, ones that could even be day 1 starters - but if you want an O-lineman who may have to heavily contribute in 2017, you probably cannot wait until after early-second round. You either take the best option at #16 - there is a good chance that all the options are still on the board at that point, but one of the top 2-3 guys are definitely gonna be still available. - or fingers crossed one of the really serviceable guys somehow falls through the cracks and is still there when we pick in the second round. With this few picks I think we can forget about Ozzie trading UP - and count on him trading DOWN at some point. So, my way-early suspicion is that it's gonna be Ryan Ramczyk Ozzie picks at #6.

KO hurt all the time? He played in all 16 games in the season in question... (and yes, he missed half the season the next year - but he had a grand total of 4 missed game since... "hurt all the time"?) As for Urschel... He's been overtaken in the depth chart by a rookie (Lewis) and a lifetime journeyman (Ducasse)... Do you really think this is comparable to KO? Remember this: if a player is known in the NFL for any other thing than his play - for example that he is a maths wiz - then he's not really a great player...
