I Roll With Purple n Black

I put this loss on the offense. All they had to do was attempt to get 1 first down on their last drive. If they get it the game would have been over. They didn't even try to get a first down but instead tried to burn the clock. It just seemed as if the coaching staff had no faith in the offense to try and get that last first down. That's a major issue within itself. We had nothing to lose at this point so why play that conservative? It just makes me wonder sometimes...

Remember last year when Odell Beckham missed the first 4 games of the season with the bad hamstring? Remember how many people were already calling him a bust? What happened after that?

Im not saying that Perriman will be that same type of player but how can so many people write him off already? We just dont know yet. He's not the first player thats been in a similar situation and he definitely wont be the last.

Bend but dont break makes no sense to me in the long run because if you keep bending you will always eventually break. Its unavoidable. This cant be your defensive motto for not 1, not 2, bur 3 years now. Something is wrong with this picture.

Im not totally buying this receiver not getting separation stuff. I saw plenty of plays this year as well as last year when guys were open and just didnt get the ball thrown their way. Flacco needs time to thrown the ball. Also, for the millionth time its evident that the Ravens still have a hard time using their recievers to the best of their abilities. I remember a 3rd and 3 situation with Marlon lined up and the defender playing ten yards off. That should have been and immediate quick slant to Marlon. He would get that first down even if he trips. But instead we run a 4 step drop, near impossible to a crossing SSS. Peyton thrown alot of passes to the bigger Demaryus Thomas when he wasn't that open last night. Go back a rewatch some of these games. The plays are there alot more than people realize.

I think that the O line will get better. They hardly played together in preseason because of the injury bug. Its gonna take a few games for those guys to gel again.

I like the play of Rashaan Melvin so far. He's looking pretty good out there.

I like the pick. I was surprised by the pick but I like it. This is a very deep draft so all hope isnt lost on drafting players for other positions. I heard a good point this morning. Alot of people are pissed because we didnt draft Ha Ha but would it really make a lot of sense to have a first year and second year player anchoring the back end? NOPE. That works when you have a veteran to teach those young guys the rope. But we dont have a good veteran back there that can do that right now. So I understand why they didnt take a saftey in the first round. But its a deep draft. We have plenty of time to get our players.

One more piece down. Come on Daryl. Lets get the deal done!
