  1. I'm warming up to the idea of Gase. Even before he was Denver's OC, he spent time as a WR's coach and a QB coach for them. Seems like a good history to have if you're going to be a long term OC. Also, while it's true Manning doesn't really need much of an OC, if Peyton is coming out and saying how great Gase is to work with and how smart he is with schemes, I'm willing to believe it.

Keep in mind Peyton said the exact samething about Caldwell. Thats the only thing that makes me a bit nervous. But im with you, im liking the idea about signing Gase. Who ever our O.C. will be, i just hope they are Aggressive. I really want them to Throw first to set up the Run, not Vice Versa, i feel that has hurt us in the past imo.

  2. We have a Pats DC on our team and the earlier Pats teams were torn apart like hurt gazelles in African plains. Part of the problem with being a successful team.

People complain that this is Flacco's 4 OC, but really, no one liked Cam or Caldwell when they were here so why even complain about that?

I'd personally prefer a younger unknown at this point but we'll see.

You will never see me complain about Losing Cam or Caldwell. Ever.lol. It took forever for the RAVENS to cut ties with Cam.( i think everyone kinda gave up with hoping he would be fired honestly, when they did, to me it was completely out of left field)

Im talking about Losing Coordinators as a Whole. Lets not forget all the D.C. we lose like clock work. As soon as they show an oz. of genius , they are gone.  I really did like KubiRaT. But i will be happy with Gase, i just hope Gase or who ever doesnt change the off. scheme  completely. I feel that it might be too much for our Offense to even have a chance this next season. Sorry but i really want the RAVENS to actually have a chance next season. When i thought Kubs. was going to be here next season, i was actually thinking S.B. or bust. I cant really say that now. It freaking SuCKS.

Who ever our O.C. will be, i just hope that they are really Aggressive on Offense. I feel that the PATS game should be a template for moving forward.

  3. Del Rio is the new HC in Oakland...

And I have no doubt that anybody inquiring about Gase would be interested in those comments and recommendations also...

But there are some who are still confused why he hasn't been getting HC offers yet and why he is seemingly struggling to even find an OC gig...

Going from being the OC with Peyton in Denver to potentially being an OC in Jacksonville is essentially a demotion in most people's eyes, and you could argue it would be one going to Baltimore as well...

Please explain how it would be a demotion to go to Baltimore to be the O.C., its a guarantee H.C. job within the next 2 yrs ( if he doesnt totally blow it)

You have a S.B. mvp QB in Baltimore. Same as it was in Denver.

Manning is done, he is over the hill. Injury or not.

The RAVENS have become a high powered offense.

  4. Anyone want to compile a list of potential offensive coordinators, ranking them from most likely to most unlikely? Because, at this point, I'm so confused as to who's still available and who's going somewhere else...

    Same.

And lets start a new topic, i hate this topic. The Tool is gone and he took everyone with him. What a  P.O.S, ill be honest, i am pretty livid. Dream job or not. This is unreal.

The Pats dont have to deal with this, what are they doing to keep their Coaches. They are more successful then us , arnt they.

Why would Manning be sitting on the boat when it was being towed to the docks on the highway? :P

Not against Trestman. I mean, I'd be pass happy too with freaking Jefferey and Marshall as my WRs.... I suppose Gase wouldn't be terrible. Someone did bring up the point about his adjustments....

Well heck, i want TRESTMAN even more, i want our Off. to be pass happy. I think we have the personal to be able to do it also. We have the QB so if the Bears would do it. I know we can.

They may have had Jefferey and Marshall but they also had Cutler. We have Flacco.

Also, i think its real possibility they we have a shot at getting Marshall.

  6. People think Gase is a bad candidate? Why?

The Broncos were 4th in yards per game (402.9), 4th in yards per play (6.0), 2nd in points (30 a game), 4th in passing yards (4,661), 5th in yards per passing attempt (7.9), 15th in rushing (1,785), and 20th in YPC (4.0). Those are great numbers. The rushing numbers are a little low, but that's what happens when you have a bad run blocking line and a HOF quarterback. That offense was dynamite.

But going after Gase is scraping the bottom of the barrel, right?

I actually want him but honestly, i just realized , he would be another 1 and done O.C. again. He was supposed to get a h.c. this yr.

Im actually leaning toward TRESTMAN now.  I doubt anyone would want him after 1 yr. i think we could get 2 maybe 3 yrs now.

This is really really getting out of hand with the RAVENS losing half their staff this yr. So this is how we get rewarded for being a good team. I just dont get how the PATS are able to keep their staff yr in yr out.

The N.F.L needs to reward us with draft pick or something. It isnt right or fair. How is this team supposed to compete every yr having to deal with this b.s. ALL THE TIME.

Who ever we sign as a o.c., they need to guarantee us atleast 2 yrs no matter what.

  7. Not even close. He was awful and was basically demoted. He was supposed to be the starting MLB in a 4-3 for years, and he was demoted to OLB and was actually playing situational for quite a bit.

Dam, i remember watching something about the dolphins on espn or nfl network last yr about Ellerbee being a leader on the def and playing good.  This was last season.

  8. Its official , the RAVENS are a farming system for players to go to other teams.lol

    We Build'em , they pay'em

Just wish we could get atleast an extra yr out all them before we have to let them go.

  9. 1. You can't overpay for somebody like McPhee. Its still going to come down to right player at the right price.

    2. That dog house doesn't exist. Ellerbe didn't play for us because he wasn't a better linebacker than the guys in front of him. Its basically been validated now, as he was given a boatload of money to be the bigtime linebacker in Miami, and words can't even describe how disappointingly bad he's been in Miami. He will almost certainly be a FA this Spring when the Dolphins cut him. Nobody should be regretting letting Ellerbe go for one second. We are incredibly better off for not signing him.

I thought Ellerbee was playing pretty good until he got hurt this yr

  10. I agree he held up well and I can see him being the 2nd or 3rd CB and allowing us to go BPA. Interesting name I have followed especially if we lose Mcphee, is Eli Harold OLB from Virginia 6-4 250 a monster always in the backfield but also leaves the door open for CB or WR or whatever.

We need to keep mcphee no matter what.

Im still p.o.ed that we had to lose Cory Redding ( the dude is still balling ) and another guy we lost that im mad about but understand because of the price tag was D.Ellerbee.    ( Still mad at Harbs for keeping him off the field for almost 2 yrs, that Dog house is for real)

  11. You were impressed with Webb? ELAM did play pretty sound , I didn't have a ton of criticism for him... One play though , he passed of a WR and covered the middle of the field ... That wasn't occupied by any steelers . He just does things at times that make you scratch your head.

Especially in the very beginning of the game. It look like he didnt know who he was supposed to cover and he was getting lost on the field.  Might have been nerves , i dont know.

  12. That ball was way out of the reach of being intercepted (would have been the best of the best on ESPN if it were intercepted) and he ran a 4.43 at the combine, from what I just read, so he's not slow, at all.

I have to disagree,  that ball could have easily been int. all he had to do was look. Shaw wasnt throwing lasers. He may have ran a 4.4 but when i see him on the field, i have never once thought, speed, watching Elam.

  13. His coverage isnt as bad as people like to make it seem,  a lot of the time he's there just needed a little extra jump to make the play.  And something people really overlook about Elam is his playmaking ability.  Granted he's not getting many picks, he has a knack for plucking the ball out.  Not many DBs in the league are getting as many strips as he does.

Not trying to insult you by any means but do you have video link of him '' plucking the ball out "  And honestly, i think he may have one strip but ill be honest, i have no reculation at all.  And even if he has multiple strips, they are way way too far and thin.

Elam gets targeted more than anyone and for good reason, im sorry but when i see him run, it looks like i have my tv on slow motion and he is a cb, he plays one of the fastest positions.  I think the only reason he is playing is because we literally do not have anyone else.

  14. Yes, i think he is a BUST. But i was wrong about Jimmy Smith. Man , i was THEE biggest J.Smith Hater ( for good reason though)

But from what i have seen from Elam ( which is Nothing ), i have to say Elam is a BUST.

Just look at the Browns game, Elam broke up a pass, but what i was thinking. Why wasnt that ball intercepted. Lets not forget how slow Elam is either.

Maybe they need to play to Elams strengths but we all know that isnt coverage , AT ALL. I think we may need him to be more of a blitzer.

  15. At this point, the main question really should be, is he durable?

The real question should be is......

Is anyone in the Secondary Durable.

Only ones that seem to last are the ones that are the least impressive, cough,.... cough.. ELAM... cough.

Anytime a play is made from the opposing off.  , Elam's Jersey is in the picture. ALWAYS.

  16. He's looked the best of any of these other replacements we've trotted out there.  Keep giving him chances.  It can't hurt.

I think the first play he did, completely sparked his confidence and caused him to play even better imo

  17.  Need i say more , WHERE did this kid come from.

From what i saw, he was covering pretty dam well too. But man, right when we need help in  the secondary.

All i have to say is, this kid looks like the Real Deal.

    Im all in on him.

What do you guys think and any info on him would be great

  18. Ok after reading every player article since the 1st round of OTAs, Harb's has stated that everyone looks good and he likes what he sees from that player. That got me to thinking, did Harbs personally call out any other player last year for their disappointing performance besides Tyrod Taylor (the freaking backup QB)? Maybe I'm a little emo about this b/c Tyrod is a local kid, who shouldn't have even been mentioned in the discussions regarding the disappointment of last season.  Even with Ray Rice's dismal season, I don't ever recall (not saying it didn't happen) Harbs say he was disappointed in Ray's performance.  If he did call out someone, who was it?

    /vent

I agree with you.  Im a HUGE T.Taylor Fan.  IMO he has that it factor. You cant measure it.  Its up there with Vick in his prime.
