Sterling Moore is an option. The Cowboys are cap strapped and can't resign anyone. I think he'd be a good addition.
Another guy I like is Mike Wallace. He's had to deal with a seriously awful O-Line, inconsistent QB play and bland coaching. I feel like Miami may cut the bait with Wallace soon and I wouldn't mind if we get him, he'd be a star with us, I don't know the cap #'s, but it would be a great fit.
I think Wallace would ask for a price too high for our cap space. There's probably cheaper options at WR out there that could still be a benefit to the offense
well I kinda am. You shouldn't say something then do the oppositeSo, nobody's mad at Boldin for going back on his "word" and playing for another team if the Ravens didn't want him? Interesting.
Nice one-way street we have here.
he played FB for the patriotsBlame the shock but who is he? The TE from Pittsburgh? Never say never. Don't trust what players say.
He was the QB for the jaguars not too long ago.ok i maybe dumb but who is david garrad or is that the point? lol
when did mason whine? I don't remember thatAlso let's not blame people for being 'emotional,'. It's not like we sent David Reed packing. Q, even when he was a Cardinal, was really just a bird with the wrong colors on. Great guy, great leader, never gave up or whined like Mason through alllll the Can Cuffed years and TOOK the manhood from every DB he went up against all the way through the playoffs. It's okay that people are upset and if people are really saying this isn't a huge deal well I'm just gonna have to point to the scoreboard.
I'm just saying he didn't drop any passes. It's not like he was amazing but he wasn't terrible either, he was targeted 4 times and caught them all.wait 4 for 26 yards...26 yards...yawn GREAT YARDS PER CATCH THERE! maybe he can finally get 50?
his cap hit won't exceed 20 mil til like the 3rd or 4th year when he is projected to earn 29 mil in one of those years. do you really think that the FO will allow one guy to get all that money? they will probably reconstruct his contract at that time.It wasn't about this seasons cap hit by flacco. The payday Flacco gets in future seasons make the Ravens chioces very limited. I understand why extending Boldin wasn't an option because the money just won't be there.
Flacco is overcompensated by atleast 2 to 3 million AAV, that contract will come back to haunt the Ravens and the first domino to fall because of it was Boldin. They had the money to keep him this season but they could not add any years to the contract which may have bridged the gap.
his stats do not back it up. torrey smith had more touchdowns than boldin in his first 2 years than boldin had in his last 3.are you for real?! ARE YOU FOR REAL!
This man was our best WR. His stats alone back that up not to mention all his intangibles. Probably the best hands in the NFL.
He deserved every penny of 6M. Out of all the players that didn't deserve a paycutt this year Boldin was number 1.
Yeah we just own a SB and I want to win another one.
You know what happens to other teams that win the SB, besides the Cheatriots? They have a hangover next year. Many don't even make the playoffs the next year like the Giants and the Steelers.
Boldin had a good 3 years of play left. How are we going to stay competitive in the passing game? They will double team Torrey and Jacoby isn't a true number two. We need more than Pitta, Jacoby and Torrey.
I don't think he dropped any passes in week 17. I'm not sure about the pre-season but in week 17 he had 4 catches for 26 yards. not that bad considering he was against the bengals' 1st team Defense for the first half.Doss cant catch Deonte cant catch had a horrible time at Florida catching balls, so 2 of the 3 WR's that are rookies have trouble catching.
speed: Maybe on go routes lol but neither will catch the ball if thrown to them.
well i don't think they would mind losing one pick that much. they have like 14 more picks this yearI would laugh if he ended up retiring now and end up screwing the 49ers out of a draft pick...
i expect tommy streeter to put up a fight for that #2 spot. I really like streeter and I hope that he comes up big.
I would've wanted at least a 5th rounder from this trade
how much does boldin free up in cap space?
I'm not that worried about the FO cutting Boldin. Yes, the offense loses a key player and flacco loses one of his favorite receivers but there are many young WR's on this team that were drafted/signed for this kind of situation. I believe that deonte thompson or tommy streeter or some other young WR on the roster can at least come in and bring the same amount of production on offense that Boldin did.

If Tunsil falls to #6 he should definitely be the pick. Although it's unlikely he does but I'm hoping. If not him I'd want Ramsey.
